Master Marcel's martial arts has been great for our son. First, it's so helpful that he picks him up from school and can get feedback from his teachers as to how his day went. Our son has struggled with ADHD and was behind in maturity. Master Marcel has helped him grow in maturity and discipline and that can be seen outside the dojo. He feels accomplished when he tests and gets a new belt and has made great friends there!

The instructor/Master Marcel has done an exceptional job with my daughters training. She was initially apprehensive and didn’t know what to expect from it, but quickly learned the value and impact of the teachings. Master Marcel instills confidence and discipline in his students that spills over at home and in everyday life. He takes a wholistic approach discussing mind body spirit, health and wellbeing. The transformation after just 2 months is simply remarkable… he offers free trials so you have nothing to lose, only to gain.

Great training and instruction. Get to know your true self the natural way with the unity of your body, mind and spirit all working and developing together for a positive good life. Classic and traditional training don’t settle for anything less.

Absolutely the best place to learn & train for martial arts. Master
Marcel's commitment to the art & his students puts him in a league of his own. With his guidance & training regimen (mental & physical), I have achieved the rank of deputy black belt. I am truly grateful for Master Marcel's dedication & persistence in helping me thru this journey.

Great Place to exercise and for meditation. I chose to sign a one year agreement and I imagine there would be penalties if i decided to stop going half way into my agreement. I love to travel so payment by the year makes since to me, i get the best deal upfront, do not have to keep signing a contract every month and I can come in for a session anytime I like. Sometimes I like to take private lessons as well if I can't make it to the main class for too long. I will let you know upfront: it is not a drama class! True Martial Artist seem to have a bit more knowledge then what you can learn on a tv station or a movie. It is always nice to step in to a place where the owner is present, involved and informed. Well worth my money for a happy, healthy future!

This is a great place to train physically and mentally. Master Marcel is great with the children. He is a great teacher of Jun Tae Kwon Do and Ki Gong. His adult classes are every day of the week and on weekends, so they are very convenient. The atmosphere of the dojo is friendly, respectful, and dedicated to the pursuit of truth.

Make sure you are going to stay there! You have to sign a contract for the whole school year and just due to a personality difference with the owner and my kids we ended up having to fight and pay a lot of money to get out because my kids didn't like it and were not comfortable. He is definitely on the more disciplinarian side and personally for my kids it was not a good fit. We have been to several after school programs and I have never had to sign a six page contract.just sayin.

My 13 year-old daughter & I love coming here! Master Marcel has a wealth of knowledge, and he makes learning classic martial arts interesting and fun. Class sizes are small and personable, and I’ve noticed improvements in my breathing and overall outlook on life since I joined. On top of that, he treats his students like family. This place is a great asset to the community, and I highly recommend checking it out.

If I could rate this a zero, I would. I am not reviewing the facility, I am reviewing the Master (however, that should say a lot about the facility). I visited the Carrollwood Village Park today and experienced the only disrespect from this instructor to a child with an Olive Green uniform top. Now, I am fully aware of discipline.as my children attend Grace and do Muay Thai and I have experience in Muay Thai as well. However, he yelled at this child.calling him a cry baby, made him do push ups, sit-ups and more in the sun for a good 15 mins. He also said to him if he didn’t stop crying he wouldn’t give him his belt. After the child finished, he was than released to go play. At that time, the child sat on the playground floor sad and bursting out in tears. Again, while I understand discipline.this was not okay. This is bullying and unacceptable. The instructor didn’t have any water for any of the children (it is 93 degrees and feels like 100!), he was in a van that could legally only fit 6 children but, he had around 10 in his possession, maybe more. I did approach him (as I got tired of hearing and seeing the disrespect) and asked him if these were his students and why he was speaking to them that way. His response: “because I can and it is called discipline. ” He didn’t care that I approached him with this matter and concern as a parent! Some parents get so blinded & desperate with the care of their children that they leave them with whomever. Or we just try to trust (which is a huge thing for us to do). Please think about leaving your child here for aftercare (with no supervision) and ask your children how their days are. Communication is key when they are small, as they are sometimes afraid to speak.
