Only gave 1 star because negative ones weren't an option.
This was the absolute worse home buying experience i would have imagined. Very disorganized crew. Joe never answers emails or calls back. Once they have your deposit they take their time and could care less. I wish i would've taken these reviews more seriously.
One of my greatest regrets was buying from this horrible ran place.

Forgot the main issue in the model
"Constitution".
They KNOWINGLY are selling a home that 1 room is inhabitable due to poor a/c ventilation. The builders know about this because I was told that this is a constant issue with this model.
Does the extreme unprofessional JOE CRISP care?
Nope, cause he has his money.

Funny how none of them live in a Clayton home.unless that was a lie also.
The poeple are dirty, rude and slow. Took me 15 months to get into my home.

I am a first time h ok me buyer and so far I have received quick response, when my daughter and I came for the first time it had rained the night before,
The Clayton home team was very kind, guided me and my daughter, trusted us to have a key and to eye shop.

I decided to move forward with a purpose of purchasing.

Max, his GM and the entire team were kind to me my daughter and her doggy.

I am now simply waiting.
At the end whatever happens is for our best.

Very poor customer service. Drove 50 miles one way to look at a model. Was informed that is was sold. It was on property, but was told that it was " way back there " and I could not look at it. There were no cistomers in sight, but was told I should have called first. It was like come back some other time & we could order you one. I prefer to demo first. Piss poor 90 second encounter!

Very expensive homes, they were pretty but the affordable ones were very cheaply made and there wasn't a lot of affordable ones on the lot to begin with.

Worst experience ever! I havent had my house for very long and its falling apart! They keep giving me the run around and im over it!
My floors are caving in and expanding from the leaking pipes under my house the trim is falling off and my ceiling is cracking! Sold me a paper house spending almost $1200 a month for a house thats not even worth $5! Have half a mind to contact better business bureau. I wish i could rate it NEGATIVE 5 STARS!

We were told something different then what happened. We are happy we have a spacious home but 15 months in a roof leak. Extra insurance. Does not cover it. The gaps were trim work was is redicioulos the bathroom fixtures do mot work. The damaged that was done was never followed up on. For the amount of money they are asking. Yeah.not happy. So as much as we believe buying local. Would not recommend this company for anything. Hate that we feel this way but we are over it. Just shoddy workmanship and no follow through and when they do nothing is covered. You make hard working people feel like we don't matter. From sales lies to shoddy workmanship. Irretatated customers.

We came a looked at properties the whole site was basicly under water with atleast 2 inch of water to walk to each home. Demo house are of very poor construction for demo purposes. Then the properties had a huge red ant piles out side the front doors and my 4 year old daughter got no less then 30 bites on her. We went to the office to tell them about how they needed to address issues on their property and when we told them our daughter was hurt the lady at the front didn't even ask if she was OK she just told us "you need to leave" at that point my fiance and I elevated our tones and then left to take care of our daughter. This company not only lost out on a 220k+ sale today but also will never return again. Will never recommend.

We were going to figure out what we could afford and I wish the person we'd set an appointment with had taken the time to talk to us before sending us off to look at houses by ourselves. But. They have Really nice homes and if your budget allows for the price of the home and land it is worth it in my opinion. And they were very courteous and professional as well

We give our experience as first time home buyers 5 stars to Clayton Homes of Lakeland! After almost giving up on building our own home because of our first stop at a local mom and pop local dealer, not having our questions answered, left wandering, and even left with discouragement - My husband and I decided to venture out to Clayton Homes of Lakeland and our home consultant Max Rabago totally redeemed the entire experience by being so informative, sensitive to our needs as first time home buyers, and answered all of our questions above and beyond. So glad we came out today! We will definitely refer Clayton Homes of Lakeland to our friends, family, and acquaintances. Thanks max!

So far our first visit was to just see what they had to offer. We had a few questions and concerns, the young lady there sat down with us and explained how it works and some of the best ways to start the process, especially since we are purchasing land as well! Great service!

Hands down the best experience my fiancé and I have had thus far. Charity and Tasha were amazing, friendly, helpful and patient. As first time home buyers we had a ton of questions and they were able to answer them all throughly. They are definitely at the top of our list. The quality of the homes were all great and their customer service was the icing on the cake. Thank you ladies and look forward to working with you all.

Buyers beware! They will bug you to death for $1000.00 deposit calling every week they tell you the will refund if you decide not to buy but keep your money.

Started out good. Made deposit. Everything changed from there. Not a good way to do business. Too many lies.

Terrible service. I went over to Lakeland on 2 separate occasions, driving 2 hours there and back each trip. Both times we met with a sales associate and explained what we were looking for. He was super helpful in explaining the process, but that was about it. After having made 2 trips, a couple emails, and a couple phone calls, PLUS a 1500$ a deposit and they couldn't even get me a price breakdown. Kept getting excuses and being told I'm sending it as we speak. Super frustrating, and we were ready to buy not 1 but 3 of these houses in a cash deal. I don't see how you could loose a 300k deal by not staying on top of communication.

Specifically called and informed them of my interest. They are very leery about discussing any type of pricing over the phone, "oh you need to come down. " Drive 2 hours and they don't even have what I'm interested in on the lot, all they want to do is sell you something more expensive. Absolutely a waste of time and they made no apologies. Looks like Factory Direct is getting my $100k.

Just called to get more info and pricing and the sales rep was a joke. I told her i was a cash buyer. She told me I had to give a deposit to get prices? Are you kidding me? Where in this world is that standard practice. What a joke

I loved the new homes that actually look like real homes due to all of the upgrades! Excellent customer service very informative great prices!

Horrible, prices advertised on website are not real, wasted the trip super rude person would not put together a pricesheet for purchasing withouut applying for credit
