Needed new clubs and was trying to decide between the options of a golf store or fitting at a club but was told about Club Champion. From the minute I walked in, I knew that going there was the right decision. Evan was great - he worked with me for over 3 hours to try out different clubs with different shafts and lengths. He is very knowledgeable and helped me understand the lengthy process of choosing the right clubs. It was great to be able to see what my current clubs were like versus new ones. Evan did not try so sell me something that was not going to improve my game. The technology involved in the putter fitting was amazing. Highly recommend Club Champion and Evan!

Great experience with Jon Trauner at CC in Jacksonville for a putter fitting. He was very knowledgeable and willing to try a lot of options until we found the right fit. 10/10 recommend to anyone who is looking to improve their golf game.

. Started using Evan the last several years. Im a recent retired fire fighter. So I decided to challenge myself and play some mini tour events with kids half my age II never played golf in highschool or college so I sucked real bad. However with Evans creativity and let me add my obnoxious swing. He put me in position to play over my head. Its a Blessing when you find someone thats the right (fit) help you achieve your dreams.

Evan was great, fit me from my troubling driver, assisted me with my 3 metal and 5 metal. Ordered me a new Titliest driver with the correct shaft, etc. Great Experience. He also fit me for a LAB putter 2 months ago and it is working wonders. Highly recommend him and Club Champion!

I’ve been playing for 20 years and this was my first fitting. Can’t believe it took me this long. I didn’t know what all was involved or what to expect and thought it could potentially be a waste of money. I was wrong! No matter what experience level you are or what your golfing goals are, you’ll be very pleased with the fitting experience here and how valuable it is to your golf game.

Jonathan Trauner was my master fitter for my iron fitting this past weekend. He was super nice, really knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves golf and wants to help you achieve your goals. There is a lot of information to process during a fitting, between the track man numbers and the different possible club adjustments and how they effect your game but he kept it simple and explained everything in detail. I felt like I had all the info I needed and then some to make the best decision on what equipment is right for my swing.

I also want to mention Bobby. He was in the bay next door doing some work and throughout my fitting with Jonathan, I would briefly speak with him and it was apparent that he’s also very good at what he does, enjoys his job and prioritizes a good customer experience.

Evan was the best. End results were phenomenal. Big swing change. Evan was able to fit me with the best set that fit my game and swing. Well worth the time to be fitted. Remarkable. Ask for Evan.

If you are looking for a great place to hone in your game this is it! Jonathan was absolutely amazing! I would recommend him and Club Champion to anyone. Extremely knowledgable and passionate in what he does. He wants everyone walking out with a better game! He even gave me some tips on set up, pre shot thoughts, not to mentioned detailed breakdown of the numbers! A great thing many people under estimate, is that he wasn’t just pushing products to customers for sales. Which is rare and ver much appreciated. A true professional! I went in this past Saturday 9/30/2023 and did a full bag fitting with Jonathan Trauner. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking to do any kind of club fitting/purchasing. He was great to work with and very knowledgeable about all different aspects of what I was looking for. He did not try to sell me on anything and also worked with me on the budget I told him about prior to coming in for the session. He saw the numbers that trackman was giving him based on my swing and used that to find the right clubs for me. He allowed me to try whatever clubs I wanted to see how they fit or didn't fit me to narrow down what would work best. He switched shafts, adjusted lengths, and many other things to find the best fit for me in all clubs. He also was happy to give swing tips and other insights that were very helpful as well as answer any questions I had to help me understand what was happening as I was switching clubs and adjustments were being made. All around it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get new clubs and improve their game.

Well id like to add to my review of CC Jacksonville. Ive been a long time client of Evan and we have worked through my bag at every level of my journey in golf. The postive results and confidence that the work with Evan has done is priceless for my happiness and peace of mind. Has allowed me to enjoy golf and perform in my local events to my highest capabilities.

My event handicap has dropped significantly and my performance has put me at the top of my season long points chase.

Well Evan has out done himself again.

His understanding of what I need for my game is 2nd to none.

I went to him to get fit for a 5 wood with some detailed specifications.

To increase my peak height and land angle while slowing down my overdraw.

Off course he exceeded my wishes and made the club even better than I couldve imagined.

Now on long shots in tournament play I have the confidence to know that my equipment will deliver a tour inspired ball flight.ideal peak height window with spin and less hook.

I am writing this review to highlight the most positive experiences I have had with Master Fitter - Jonathan Trauner at Club Champion in Jacksonville. To preface, Jonathan has been and is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to get fitted and find the right clubs for them with no sales pitch or pressure. Only looking to do what’s best for you and your golf game.

I made an appointment at Club Champ after being extremely unsatisfied with a prior experience and purchase at PGA Superstore.

My first appointment with Jonathan was for a driver/woods fitting. I brought in my current driver/3wood at the time that I had for 9 years.
After watching a few of my swings.he gave me a few tips on swing path, alignment and distance from the ball in my stance. I instantly noticed a difference multiple data stats. I took a few more swings so that he could get proper data and start fitting me accordingly.
We went through a few driver heads and 3 woods with various shafts and adjustments on them before finding the right fit for both.
I have added 40-50 yards in Distance on both clubs and they favor my shot shape preference which has helped my game out tremendously.

2nd Appointment:
The irons I had purchased from PGA superstore weren’t doing what I wanted them too. I took in my Taylormade Sim irons that were basically stock. Instead of putting me in a new set of irons that I didn’t need, he recommended the most important part of the club itself, the shaft. We tried out multiple shafts before finding what I needed. The stats from the track man instantly showed the difference. My 6 iron used to be 160-170 Max. I am currently hitting it 190-200 with precision as of this review.

3rd Appointment:

I purchased a new putter and wedge to compliment my game. Things I learned in this fitting from eye dominance to weight distribution on the toe and heel along with the shaft taught me a lot. I have noticed a significant difference in my ability to make putts and better gage speed. I went from an inserted face to a milled face and the feel alone makes the difference for me.

4th and Most recent appointment:
I needed to fill a yardage gap between my 4 iron and 3 wood.
220-260 is a big gap to try and hit a 3 wood in different ways.
Jonathan recommended a 4 wood to me. Hopped on the trackman and started testing out different heads and shafts. Found the perfect fit with the Titleist TSR 2 and a Hazardous Smoke green Shaft. I used this club for the first time on 8/2/2023. I hit 3 different desired shot shapes on 3 different holes all resulting in my desired outcome.

4 wood: Titleist TSR 2
Shaft: Project X HZRDOUS Smoke Green

Obviously these clubs are what is best fit to me and my swing. Once again highly recommend going and seeing Jonathan.
As a note, I was a 14 handicap when I first saw Jonathan. After proper fittings and practice with those clubs, I am currently and 8.4 and only getting better.

Had a iron fitting today with Jonathan.

An absolute fantastic experience and got me exactly what I was looking for. By the end of our session he got me 3 degrees more launch angle, 3.5 MPH more ball speed, 20 ft of height, 6 degrees better landing angle and an additional 10 yards in my irons.

He didn’t try to upsell me on anything and strictly went by what the data told him, which I appreciated.

If you’re someone who takes your game serious, or even just an amateur trying to get better, I highly recommend going in and seeing him.

Jonathan was a pleasure to work with. He worked with my daughter who is very new to golf. He answered the numerous questions coming at him without issue. Hope to be back.

I had the pleasure of working with Evan Sturdivant for a full bag fitting. Evan listened to my concerns and was very efficient at helping me find the best club/shaft combination for my swing. There was no sales push toward any particular club or shaft manufacturer. I tried every combo in which I had interest, but his ideas seemed to yield by far, the best results.
