CMC Recycling, Apopka FL

Friendly and efficient crew here. Most times I am in, loaded and out in around 2 hours. It is a little tight maneuvering a 53' dry van around but they do their best to keep the area clean and open.

I agree with the others leaving negative reviews about CMC not giving their customers the right amount of money for what they recycle there. I brought in like over 40 lbs of thick aluminum pipe that seemed to be high grade, and worth 0.80 cents like CMC says it is worth on their website, an ac unit, and a good bit of copper, and other metals totaling to around probably 80 lbs and only received $20. Even at 50 cents for 40 lbs of aluminum is $20, so where did the rest of the money for AC unit, copper and other metals go? The guy recycling the metals above also griped about me not stacking my metals on the cart in a certain way. Sorry, but I don't work at CMC and know all of CMC's procedures. I'm just a transwoman recycling her metals for some extra cash. I also don't like how there is no standard scale to see how much your metals weigh, which is a red flag for a company that cheats their customers. Stay away! This place is a rip off!

With the business I am in I have been dealing with scrap material for 30 years. I can throw it away, give it away or recycle it. Most of the companies I’ve ever dealt with just made me want to throw it away because of how stingy or rude or unhelpful they are. This company, Cmc is absolutely different from every recycling center.helpful, trustworthy, keep to their word are a very few of the things I would say about them. I have exclusively gone to them for about six years and I’ve never once had a complaint even when I made mistakes they brought to my attention they still took the bullet for my mistakes. I probably don’t deserve the personal buyer that I have but I’ve had a relationship with one single person that whole time.even on frustrating hot days these people are still good and reasonable

Very rude customer service asked a simple question and got the call ended thank God they did that.taking my business else where save your time don't bother doing business with them.

This place has given us issues every time we go there. I called ahead of time to see if a letter was needed to recycle copper and coils and we were told no. We drove all the way there and the same person told us that we did! We happened to bring one with us but it was not acceprable according to their “rules”. She said the rules changed a year ago. How does the receptionist not know this a year later! We will not be returning here and will not refer anyone to go there either. Its unfortunate that this company does not care about their customers. Having worked in customer care for 20 yrs myself, this is unacceptable. Goodbye to cmc forever.

Some of the best prices for scrapped material. They do not lowball you and assessment is always fair.

You showed open Saturday 11th April loaded the van drove to you and you were closed, update your website to show real time. Wasted time thanks.

First time at this scrapyard since my normal one is closed. I was there to scrap a little copper and brass. Even so busy I was in and out very fast and price is good. The clerk at the scale answered every thing I needed without slowing down and with polite information and makes me want to return. I'll be back the price is right

Nice place for the part time scrapper, two different drop place one for small items and seperte for large and shred positive items. Staff is always helpful including forklift assistance.
