I make the time to write a review when I don't want someone else to go through what we've been through. CMI did the complete replacement and installation for 15 units in the Clubhouse of a community I work for. The expense was large, so the community paid a special assessment to have this work done.
We have never had more AC equipment issues than I have had with this "new" system. I was told by two technicians from other companies that our main unit was not properly installed. When we asked CMI to have a specialist double-check, we were met with resistance and promises of a specialist that never arrived to diagnose the root of the problem. This company was supposed to be a partner for our community and was supposed to know more about our AC systems than anyone. Besides not standing behind their work, I believe they took on a large-scale job they weren't equipped for. Our previous AC system had far less problems than the current one. If I didn't know how new these units were, I would be requesting proposals to replace a few of them. Thankfully, the manufacturer warranties are providing some financial relief for all the work we continuously have done.

Like a lot of others, they promise the moon and deliver very little. We contracted for same day service but in 3 separate instances they were over 48hours responding and simply said they were “too busy”. When they did show they were late over 60% of the time. Not only did they not staticky parts, they were slow to order and never followed up to ensure timely delivery. AVOID them. There are plenty of qualified companies out there

Our a/c went out on July 4. CMI sent Christian out to repair. Did a great job and wouldn’t leave until he had us up and running. We have always enjoyed being a CMI customer.

I had an AC company that I have a maintenance contract with come out and tell me I needed a new blower motor. I didn’t believe them. I called CMI and they sent Terrance. He was prompt, professional and neat. He spent a couple of hours diagnosing my unit (Lennox) and was able to get me back up and running. I’m only mad at myself I waited 4 days to decide to get a second opinion. Thanks to CMI and Terrance I’m a one cool dude!

I thought they were great, and I would like to give them a good review because of the service they first provided. Then I called back with an issue five separate days in separate times and no one will return your call.so if you have warranty work, don’t expect much out of CMI. FYI, this was a condenser coil not in the attic, not sure what or who you are talking about. But you replaced the whole unit. I have moved on, they are ordering another condenser under warranty, since only last summer when you did install.

CMI is the kind of company I would like to find more of for all my contractor/trade needs. After 20 years, I have found them to be honest, reliable, and consistent. They are always quick to respond (even on weekends when necessary), and never fail to do a great job. Their back office is excellent to deal with, responsive and on the ball, and they also laugh at my bad jokes, which already places them above and beyond most companies! You will be happy with their work.

Great customer service. My system was backing up with water and the tech that came out (Kevin) was extremely thorough and took his time to flush my drain lines multiple times using various solutions until thoroughly cleaned.

We’ve had CMI our several times over the years. Initially I called CMI to get a second opinion after another local company recommended replacing both the air handler and compressor instead of repairing the one we had. The tech from CMI made a few calls and found out the part that needed to be replaced was still under warranty, so we spent $250 versus $6,000. Each time they come out they are professional, explain things clearly and I don’t ever feel like they’re trying to sell me anything. They’re the only company we call and I always recommend them when someone asks.

Can’t say enough good things about CMi! They were the second HVAC Company we had to call after the first contractors could not handle the problem of replacing a compromised AC line that ran under our house foundation! They were handed an extremely complicated job of rerouting a new line set through ceilings and walls. David came out and spent a lot of time planning a solution that would work and provided amazing technicians that were extremely meticulous, professional and thorough. Would highly recommend CMI for any HVAC needs!

CMI INSTALLED A TRANE HVAC SYSTEM. They were on time and the installation was very professional in every aspect. Upon completion of the installation, they found the factory air handling unit motor to be bad. The crew left but a CMI electrician came about 30 minutes later to install a rescue motor and the system was up and running. A new motor was ordered and will be replacing the rescue motor when received. A special thanks to Josh, the electrician, for his professional work and being very courteous. Thanks CMI!
