Coast Dental, Punta Gorda FL

The absolute worst experience. First they charged me over $1800 for a cleaning. Ok, sure. Necessary evil, I suppose. Then I get a letter in the mail saying I still owe $316! I called my insurance company, and they said there was probably a miscommunication. They say if the office would get in touch with them, they could sort it out. Both myself AND my insurance company have been reaching out for over 2 weeks now and this office will not answer the phone. When I had gotten an answer, only after calling another coast dental office and making them call the original, all I get is attitude from the horrible office manager they have there. Oh, and also, they wanted to charge me $14k for the work I "needed, " and I'm getting the EXACT SAME work done at another dentist for under 5k. Needless to say, I will never use this company again, and I highly recommend you don't either. Panther Hollow is in town, and they are 10x better.

I am here for a simple cleaning which normally is a 45 minute to 1 hour process. I have been sitting in this room for an hour now and still haven’t seen a hygienist. One person took an inordinate amount of X-rays and it was more painful than any other time I have had X-rays taken. I am running out of patience so I may not get to rate the actual cleaning if it doesn’t happen in the next 15 minutes. This is ridiculous. 0 out of 10 do not recommend.
Edit: when I did finally get a hygienist, I was told my cleaning was going to cost me $233. I chose not to pay that and went home to look up my policy. It states that 2 free cleanings per year are covered so I have no idea why they are trying to charge me that.
I will be looking for another dentist.

Julie the hygienist is good but always seem to wait a long time even though I have appointments. The need to adjust their scheduling or notify patients if they are running late

Very pleased with my initial consultation and x-rays. Abby and Dr. Martinez were very caring and patient in explaining my upcoming procedure. I am comfortable with these people. That means a lot to me.

Appt at 10am. 10: 20, still waiting. The office had a very strong perfumy odor, and I am extremely sensitive to smells. Staff not talking english. I left.

Everyone was very nice. I was impressed with how detailed in respect to what dental work I have to have in the future and the costs of my upcoming expenses.

Dr. Martinez was great, and Marta was comforting because I was nervous. I highly recommend this team!

The staff, is extremely pleasant and professional. The Dr. No nonsense, polite and gets to the point! So far I'm impressed!

SO unprofessional. I made an appointment for my son a week ago. They confirmed it via phone and text. I get there and they told me they don't do kids. (He's 6.)

Very attentive, and professional, I really liked the treatment in general, thank you and happy Thanksgiving

Avoid this place

I booked an appt here despite bad reviews because it’s the only place covered under ins. But I would gladly pay out of pocket elsewhere. I will be returning to my old dentist an hour away before coming back to this shady shack.

Miriam did my X-rays. Worst experience ever had at a dental office hands down. She did not explain or ask she just kept saying “bite bite” and physically moving my head for me. There was a language barrier which I was trying to be understanding of but it’s hard to deal with in healthcare especially hands on. She and the hygienist kept leaving and coming back because it took the “dentist” over an hour to get on the zoom call. I’m pretty sure she didn’t even look at my X-rays or they weren’t done properly.

There was no dentist to even do the exam so idk how they are even giving full proper exams when it’s only a zoom call. You absolutely cannot give a real exam without a dentist present. Shady!

Also, they will charge you for things your ins doesn’t cover that you don’t actually need done just to get more money out of you. And they are insanely overpriced considering other dentists I’ve been to.

I looovvee this place they know their stuff, no disappointment here. Recommended highly without question Coast Dental Punta Gorda try them, you'll be happy you did.

He's all about the money. Wanted a tooth pull (it was hurting a bit) and because I said I want it pulled no root canal and crown 2 to 5 grand everybody of it. I'm going somewhere I can say what I want and they will do it

I went in for dental impressions for my dentures. I was in an out in twenty minutes, the staff makes you feel very comfortable & welcome

All the Girls are so nice & helpful, the Girl that did my deep cleaning was wonderful, she cleaned my teeth & made sure I understood everything what I was supposed to do I’m very happy with Coast Dental.

Would give a zero if available. I made a long journey TWICE for a scheduled teeth cleaning. I had my full set of X-rays sent there and was told that they were received. The woman came in and proceeded to do X-rays AGAIN. I told her that they were already there. She said I just need to take 18. AGAIN. I told her they already had them. Finally she went out to check and came back saying she found them. She was slamming things around after that. And she ended up charging me for X-rays that I already had sent there. She wouldn't listen and she was VERY hard to communicate with. No one knows what they are doing in the back. And can barely speak English. I'm over them. Incompetent as.
