Hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. The find every reason to scam you out of your paycheck. They nickel and dime you for everything. I cannot stress enough. DO NOT APPLY TO THIS COMPANY. 4 people have left in just a month.

Zero stars. Homeowners beware. I wish I could go back in time and never have let them into my house. In June 2020, we had a leak in our kitchen. We filed a claim through our insurance and because there is a clause in our policy that states we must use the insurance company’s “preferred provider” or be limited on the amount paid for claims, we agreed to use Coastal DKI as the contractor to clean up and rebuild our kitchen. To be fair, they were just fine for the mold remediation and clean up phase. But when it came to the rebuild, they cost us so much money, time and misery over the last many months. The estimate they put together for our kitchen rebuild came to approx $39,000. Minus profit, overhead and sales tax it was approx $31,000 that was supposed to be used to redo our, in their words on the estimate, “high grade” “custom” kitchen. Our insurance approved the estimate. We had the project manager over with whom they told us was a cabinet builder to measure to build our cabinets. He measured and we were told he would be building the cabinets. About 3 weeks went by and at this point I believed our cabinets were in the process of being built during this time. Then I get an email from the project manager asking to stop by so we could pick a cabinet color. I assumed he meant for the builder to paint them. At that time he had another cabinet guy out measuring again. I thought at this point the cabinets would be done and ready to be coming in so I didn’t know what was going on, but I thought maybe this person was working for the same guy and they were finalizing everything to come in with the cabinets. No. This was a Ready to Assemble cabinet dealer, which we did not find out until they showed up at our house with Ready to Assemble cabinets, not the custom built cabinets that we thought we had coming. No one communicated to us or said hey, something changed, we’re ordering these other cabinets. We were completely floored to find them putting cheap ready to assemble cabinets into our previously custom kitchen. At the time of the second cabinet person measuring they had us sign a “selection sheet” which we believed to be for the builder, because that’s what they told us and then never told us any different. They are now using that to claim that we selected these cabinets. When confronted with what happened to the builder and how much did you pay for these cabinets, I got nothing from them but blank stares, unreturned phone calls and unanswered emails. No apology, remorse or offer to make things right. Now after another 4 month battle with the insurance company and almost a year out from our claim, our kitchen remains unfinished, they will not replace the cabinets, and we are out half of the money we need to return our kitchen to its previous state. The cabinet materials they purchased are worth $8,000 at any and every online cabinet retailer that I have found that sells them. After weeks of pressing the issue on how much they paid, I received an invoice stating that they paid $12,150 for them. And despite that they charged $15,450 for them on the payment application. Please take this warning and do not make the same mistake we did. My sole reason for posting this is to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

They were scheduled to do repair work-got an estimate in Jan, then didn't hear from them until May. Still have my deposit for half of the work ($1884.00), which I still haven't received back yet. Next I will be calling the lawyers. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM! Learn from my mistake please!

I had water damage in my home from a pipe leak. I contacted Coastal DKI and they responded extremely fast to have it cleaned up. I opted to have them do the reconstruction in my home. I received my estimate in a timely manner and the work started shortly after. Start to finish they were there three weeks and did an amazing job, highly recommend.

Coastal DKI is horrible, memorably bad service. Had to dial them multiple times everyday just to get them to show up. Took months longer than it should have and after being billed and being reimbursed they come up with new bills. I had a similar mold issue in another rental unit and used AAA QUALITY SERVICES, INC.

AAA was excellent and much cheaper. Great customer serviceFirst of all, I've been a General Contractor for more than 20 years and sometimes you run into a company with horrific customer service and it ends up costing you more money than you paid; this is Coastal DKI. It was more than a $20,000 job (over Priced (I'll provide better alternatives in a followup post). I just hate to see others have to deal with a company like Coastal DKI.

One of the worst company's to work for I been a licensed General contractor for 30 year's and have worked with companies like this before. The only reason I consider ed doing any work for this company was to help out a friend and one of their project managers who could not find contractors that could do a good job and get it done. I agreed to their terms, payment in full in 45 days and materials paid when job starts. I had the project manager sign my estimate and forward it to the corporate office. After repeated emails and calls to the corporate office and the project manager I have yet to be paid it's been over 90 days. My advice to any contractors is to stay away from this company this is one company that will put you out of business quickly and to any customer's thinking of hiring this company for restoration work think twice. If they don't do what they say will do with the subcontractors do you think they will with you?
