Coastline Dolphin & Snorkeling Excursions, Bradenton FL

It was the first time for me and my group to do a boat excursion. I can say with pure confidence that we all enjoyed our first experience with Captain John. John was an excellent guide and captain, providing us with knowledge of the history of Egmont Key. The boat ride itself was a blast of fun accompanied by local wildlife, I would highly highly highly recommend Coastline & Snorkel Excursions. I absolutely look forward to a next time in the future!

Captain John was terrific! Brought my family here from Utah to have a unique and memorable experience. We had all that and more. Exceeded my expectations, would highly recommend.

Captain Casey was awesome! The excursion was amazing as well! We were having some difficulties finding dolphins but he knew their secret spot and we got to see several pods! The cost for 3 hours was reasonable and the trip was well worth every penny!

Our family had an excellent experience with Captain Kasey on our tour, and could not recommend him enough. Not only did Casey deliver on topic and interesting facts about local marine life and habitats, but he also ended up saving 2 people who were caught in a rip while on floaties.

What a great day! My family had so much fun, and it was a truly memorable experience. Captain John was great; patient, knowledgeable, funny, and just an all-around good dude. I would book this again in a heartbeat and 100% recommend for you to take your family out for a tour. Pack a lunch, take lots of pics, laugh and smile, and prepare for an amazing adventure!

I'm unsure how to rate this. The conditions did not permit snorkeling but the weather was amazing. The staff are very friendly. Captain John is one of the best. If we were rating this on that experience alone, it would be 5/5. However, my rating is on the experience as a whole and we are not sure how we feel about it. It was a nice boat tour and a little history lesson on the area. We understand water conditions can't be controlled and I think that's why this tour spent most of the time attempting to get dolphins to play. We will say this. If you are interested in a bit of everything on a snorkeling tour and the water conditions are fair. Then this might be the tour for you. If you are expecting simply the best snorkeling. There are better areas of Florida to snorkel. We hate to leave a subpar review for what otherwise might have been an amazing experience but we would like to be honest on how we felt at the end. A little underwhelmed. Weekends will be packed and you will probably have a few close encounters with first time boat operators. We spent about 20 minutes trying to get someone else's boat off our tour boats anchor line and Captain John had to divert 2 close calls with boats colliding into our tour boat. Although, If he is your captain. You will be in good hands.

Captian Kasay did a fantastic job helping myself and my family enjoy a day on the water. We took the 2 hour dolphin and snorkeling adventure with a 2 y/o and a 5 y/o. He helped with the kids while snorkeling and his knowledge of the area was great. He knew all the spots to see the dolphins and manatees. If you are in the area, this cruise and adventure was very cool. It's a must do!

Came here following a rather underwhelming larger boat tour, hoping to have a much better experience. We certainly did. Captain John was a very laid back and friendly dude. This has been the highlight of our Honeymoon. An experience we will never forget!

Our guide was incredible! We had such a great day. We went to all the different islands (Egmont, Jewfish key, Passage key) and found a ton of awesome shells, saw dolphins and a very friendly manatee!

My family has never taken a boat tour before, and Captain John knew how to make our experience the most relaxing and memorable. Due to the weather, he corrected the route, and we had a wonderful time. We saw a lot of wildlife, dolphins and manatee, took a lot of pictures, had a spectacular time. Thank you!

4 Hour Snorkeling Excursion

Had a fantastic experience end to end. Started off talking to the owner when scheduling to figure out the best time of day to go, who was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful with what we wanted to get out of the experience. Given clear instructions around directions, check-in, what to bring, etc. Captain Jack was amazing! Super friendly with great recommendations on what to check out on Egmont, what to look for when snorkeling, and great places to eat when done:)

100% would recommend to anyone! Great speed for those looking for sun in the fun, some history about Florida, or a little nautical adventure!

Highly recommend this excursion. Very professional staff and an outstanding experience. We enjoyed it so much that we booked twice during our week in Florida.

Awesome trip. My kids and I went on the 2-hour excursion. We got to see dolphins, found a bunch of beautiful shells and marine life. Our captain was great!

What a perfect day! Roaming around Egmont Key and taking in the sights. But by far the best part of our day was finding a sweet family of dolphins that wanted to play. Captain John was absolutely, the best! Highly recommend this adventure, you will not be disappointed! We dis the 3 hour trip.

Briefly: this is a GREAT company, with PROFESSIONAL and FRIENDLY employees, and we had a wonderful time on a 2-hour boat tour, during which we saw several dolphins and amazing scenery of Anna Maria Island. Also, do give them a CALL to book, as opposed to booking through the web.

Here's a more detailed account.

While on spring break in the Bradenton area, we spontaneously decided to take a 2-hour boat tour. Their website was informative, easy to navigate and I'm guessing one could easily book a tour through it without much hassle. The only weird thing was that it was just the three of us, and, for the time that we were looking for, the website allowed booking of tours for groups of four (other time slots offered more flexible options). Some time slots were even disabled, with a note indicating to call to book. I would highly recommend booking any tour by CALLING them.
When I called, they didn't pick up, but I left my contact information, and they called me back within five minutes and very clearly explained the whole process. Moreover, the person that answered was super friendly and helpful, and I think we even saved a few $$ by booking over the phone, since booking online incurs a convenience fee.

On the day of the tour, we showed up for a 3 - 5pm tour at 2: 30 and were immediately met by one of the captains of another tour. It took a few minutes to sign waivers, and we boarded our tour boat a few minutes early. Our Captain was Captain, who is a super friendly guy, very laid back but also incredibly knowledgeable and he didn't poke fun at us too much for being non-boaters from up north) It seemed like he had a sixth sense, knowing exactly where to go to find dolphins, and we did end up seeing quite a few. Captain John suggested that we sit in the back and then he maneuvered the boat so that the dolphins would follow along in our wake. During the middle of the tour, we stopped at a sandbar and were able to get out, walk along the sugar sand, and hunt for shells. Then, we went out a way into the Gulf looking back at AMI (very cool!), circled back around to see more dolphins, and eventually headed back. At one point, on the way back, we came upon what looked to be a stranded boat. Captain John slowed down to check if they needed help, but the driver of the other boat indicated that all was well, so we just kept going. To me, this seemingly insignificant act speaks to the professionalism of the company and the crew.

I highly recommend a tour with Coastline Dolphin. Excursions. Especially if you're staying at the Compass Hotel - just walk on over! I also highly recommend Captain John, although I'm confident that you will have a good time with their other captains.

One of the best experiences ever! Kids loved it, and we found some cool souvenirs to take home. Captain Jack was friendly and knowledgeable; we will be back!
