Cody's Original Roadhouse, Belleair Bluffs FL

Second time here, and we were super disappointed unfortunately. I will say the cheese logs and rolls, and dessert were great. Server was super kind and attentive as well. But My partner and I both got chicken fried chicken and we could tell as soon as he sat it down it wasn’t going to be good. Don’t know if the grease was bad or what but I took one bite, spit it out and was done. Seemed overcooked as well. The server took both our plates away barely touched and only took one of the dinners off the bill. Never looking for free stuff so we happily paid. Last time we came here they were great but don’t know if we will try again.

Placed a to go for salmon dinner at 5: 38pm and was told 15-20 min. Came at 30 min to pick up. Told it wasn’t ready and needed 10 min. So I said I would be back. Came back, still not ready. Told 10min and I said I’ll be back. 6: 52pm I had to get the manager, still wasn’t ready. He goes and gets it, says sorry and that was it. An hour plus for salmon and 2 sides of microwaved broccoli.
This was my 3rd attempt to see if they can get it done-NOPE. The broccoli is so soggy and mushy you can’t eat it. Salmon that the manager said just came out-was hard to cut it was well done!
Customer service is horrible here!
Lady in line had same issue-waiting forever for one meal. Will never be back! One star-cause I have too!

I just wanted to give a shout out tonight to the to-go girl Andrea! I called in a large to-go order, knowing they would be busy at 6: 30pm on a Friday night. I did have to wait a little bit (totally expected) but when it was my turn she was friendly, apologetic for the wait, and thanked me for my patience. She went through each box with me as she bagged it to make sure the order was correct. She mentioned she had a customer earlier who had given her a hard time as it was such a busy night and was worried about a bad review on Google. I told her I would make up for that with my own good review because she was efficient and pleasant and my food was great! We frequent this Cody's all the time as it's in my neighborhood and I hope to see her again next time I'm in with my family! Thank you Andrea!

Cody’s was extremely busy for Veterans Day but our experience was amazing thanks to our fantastic waitress Cristen. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. As always food was very good. Thank you

The Cody's locations north on 19 and on Park in St Pete are much a much better experience. I still love Cody's but the experience at the location in Belleair was unwhelming relative to the other options.

Don't ever go to this location! We have been going here for years we live in the neighborhood, but within the last year we have attempted to go twice and have had a terrible experience both times. Other than the food and service being awful, The hostess has no idea what she is doing and has no help at all and you will get skipped over in line. Long story short, our booth that I asked for got given to another couple, and the manager and staff were very rude when i said something. The manager was literally arguing with me, I think her name was Mia. We will never be going back, no wonder why the restaurant is always empty, Im sure many others have had a similar experience. Just thought I'de warn everyone. {{Couldn't leave a response for your answer. So heres my response to that. We were a party of 3 an never got sat. So what free drinks? We ended up leaving and not dinning with you. So do you really know whats going on in your establishment? You have no idea about our situation. Yet you want make a reply to a review on a situation you obviously have no idea about. We are Obviously another unhappy party at your location.

Great early bird specials. 2 for 1 drinks. Excellent priced entrees with salads, sides and rolls and butter. People were waiting for place to open at 3: 30.
Every thing was cooked to perfection. Large portions.

My bf and I used to come here fairly regularly, but our recent visit showed a huge improvement! We heard there was a new manager, and he came over and said hi. We were very pleased with the timely service which had been slow before. The rolls, the salad and chicken fried chicken are amazing! Props to the new manager Eddie for making Cody’s fun again! Can’t wait to make this our go to again!

All dishes we ordered: filet mignon, ribs and shrimps from combos and ribs and sirloin steak from combos with all sides were superb and fantastic, same as a very friendly and polite service! The fried cheese logs - were simply incredible - must have, and while you go through the impressive menu, you can chew on peanuts (if not allergic)! The exterior and interior decor is funky and original. This place is not cheap, but the food is worth the money you pay!

This is the absolute worst place to eat at! The 10 minute wait at the front door, having to flag down a server just to get seated and then when the hostess does come to seat us, she hands me the menu and rolled up silver ware and tells me table 51…oh you don’t work here it’s the table in the corner!

The server comes over and takes our drink order. He was amazing. We place our dinner order and mine comes out not only cold but raw in the middle. I asked for medium well and it was rare. At this point I asked for the meal to be removed from our check

The hostess gets into an argument with another server in the middle of the restaurant! Totally unprofessional and inappropriate.

Andre, our Server was the only saving grace in this establishment. He went above and beyond and they need to make him head of the house! He was incredible.

This place is garbage don't wast time or money. Our server had no menu knowledge. Our wings came out with no sauce or side, the ribs were ice cold literally right out of the fridge to the plate. Very disappointed in everything. It was my daughter's birthday they failed miserabley. If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasted my time and money.

Prices certainly have increased but the prime rib is still superb, baked potato, salad and rolls are perfection.the service was very good. They were not very busy but the staff stayed busy tidying up etc. Very good experience. When we stepped outside there was a very bright full rainbow.

I don't think I will ever be back. Felt stereotyped and was hardly even spoken too. Fajitas come out not sizzling. Literally sad. Last time trying this place. I will wait for hot food that sizzles. Terrible service! Servers need a personality and sales experience.

We had an amazing waiter, Brent was his name. He took the time to speak with us and made sure our food was to our satisfaction. He was very personable and a joy to have him as our waiter. Good luck Brent, wishing you all the best in your new surroundings.

Honestly, Emm was the best server I’ve probably had In a while. We go out once a week to a different restaurant to try new things, and I was pleasantly surprised here. Immediately made us feel welcomed and the service was quick. If you’re going and she’s working I’d recommend asking for her!

We had to wait 20 minutes and it wasn’t even busy the baked potato was beat over cooked and hard my husband and I split an entree he had two beers I had one drink and the bill was $70 with the tip Food was ok service was ok but pretty expensive for what we got

Worst place I have been in years. What happend to codys? This place is a dump. Our chicken wings were raw, it took 20 minutes to get our drinks, the servers look like junkies and they never brought out any bread. Avoid this place at all cost. It's gross inside as well.

Not your typical Cody's. Had dinner there and was disappointed. Slow service, got our orders incorrect, and the place was dirty. They even served rolls that were completely undercooked. Very disappointing all around. We won't be back.

They used to have a legitimate fajita special by one get one free Wednesdays. It was around $12-13.99. I think it should be clear the special does not exist. They now feature a veggie fajita which there is no such thing because fajitas are made with a low-grade skirt steak. Chicken fajitas now have an upcharge. And it's extremely misleading when they say steak fajitas. I believe it should be more like sirloin taco. Which carries a 5.99 up charge. So when I received my bill it was double the charge, my meal consisted of meat undercooked onion and bell pepper with no rice no beans which is usually a staple with fajitas. This is classic disinformation giving false information with the intent of deceiving. I think they should go ahead and just say there's no special for fajitas anymore. Because once a customer is burned it leaves a bad taste in your mouth and you don't want to return. Fortunately the manager did alter my ticket for the deception. Which I appreciate and I will return. I noticed no one else had this Wednesday night fajita special while sitting at the bar. Marketing a veggie fajita is the most absurd thing I've heard. Without rice and beans it's not even a taco. Thank you for making situation right normally I have a very good experience at Cody's and enjoy the food.
