Cody's Original Roadhouse - Port Charlotte

Went to Cody’s tonight for dinner. We got seated right away. Our waitress was Catie and she was amazing. Super attentive and very nice. Food was also amazing. Juicy burger and the steak fajitas were cooked to perfection.

Me and three other people stood there for an hour waiting to pick up orders to find out that our orders were sitting on the floor the whole time

Prime rib is very good here. The house salad was warm and soft. It was really looking forward to a good crisp salad but I was disappointed. Sweet potato fries okay. Carrot cake and chocolate cake are enormous slices enough for three to four people to eat.

Wait was long when there were plenty of empty tables.we were seated at a table with a horrible smell, ordered frozen margaritas that were watery got burnt prime rib.best part of the meal.the rolls and butter.won't be going back

Had a great experience when I ate there last time, which was before COVID. So was looking forward to it, but this time not impressed with hostesses and felt bad for the bus boy. The tables were being seated every other, which was odd when COVID restrictions had been lifted. The hostess stand kept getting abandoned. They were ready to leave my elderly father standing with his cane until I asked for a chair. Yet, I seen them sitting in a booth in the back after checking us in. And after seeing 5 tables get up and leave, they changed the wait time from 20 mins to 45 mins. It took 45 mins for the bus boy to clean off the tables and they didn't help. Then we were told they were going to ask the server in zone whatever, if they were going to take us, like the server had a choice which doesn't make sense in that business. Despite wanting to be irritated the rest of the time, the server was fabulous and the food was good.

Couldn't get my order right.didn't even get my food till I was ready to leave.will not go back there.gave them a second chance and no more!

Anytime we order from here our food is underwhelming and cold or missing entirely. Yet for some reason we keep ordering, against our better judgment. Today we ordered and the girl on the phone hung up on my sister. My sister called back and told her she never asked for her name or told her how long the order was would be. The girl on the phone said “oh I guess I forgot to ask. ” My sister asked how long it was be and the girl told her she’d ask. The girl must have pulled the phone away from her ear because we could hear her say “ugh they want to know how long it will be. ” We still were not clear on the time.

It’s a shame bc normally Cody’s is great just not this location apparently

Matt was awesome. No wait, sat on the bar area and he took care of us. Shout ot to management for hiring Matt in North Port.

Coleslaw was bland the roasted chicken was even more bland. The potato skins were great! My wife had the Southwest Chicken and liked it. My son got the pulled pork sandwich. It was ginormous and had really good flavor. The jumbo shrimp is NOT jumbo. So, if it isn't a Tex-Mex item, don't order it. Service was good.

We go on Wednesdays, for BOGO fajitas. Was not crowded and we felt comfortable being inside. We both ordered steak and chicken combos. We got one steak one chicken. The chicken was really good, the steak was chewy was usual, not sure why we ordered it again. The portions are generous. The side dish of lettuce, pico and sour cream could use improvement. I have diabetes and have to watch my carb intake. I brought my own tortillas, the low carb variety. I did notice that the prices have gone up since we were there last. $15+.

Great drinks, salad and appetizers amazing. Took a while to get seated, even with call ahead seating. The hostess had to clean the tables, cozy no one else would do it. Will keep you updated on food taste and quality when it comes

Wife and i ate dinner today6/13/21, the waitress Pooja was great as was the food. This Cody's has a new owner and a new manager, i am sure it will improve now.

Shrimp BOGO Fajitas.yeah just don't. Really glad I got to try the quality for less because full price would have been a larger let down.

When in for just a drink on my birthday and the bar was packed and I'm ok with that but they wouldn't let me even sit at a table and get a drink. First time there and I was left with a bad taste

We recieved our order and it was missing items and food wasxcold. I calledcand spoke to. "G" a manager and he took care of everything.made thecorder right and in an extremely timely fashion. Thats how you handle customer service.

We went for lunch.
Everything was good, except for my friend's ribeye steak.
She ordered medium rare and it was so done, she couldn't even chew it.
Our waitress was great.
She felt so bad how it turned out.
They took her whole meal off the bill.
My friend goes there all the time and she said that her steaks are always great.

Our experience was HORRIBLE.my husband ordered the 8ozsteak/chicken combo and after getting his plate he went to take leg off chicken and blood just pooled out onto plate onto other food waitress comes takes plate we wait 25 min get another plate. CHICKEN WAS DRIPPING BLOOD! So he ask for a box for his other food and she brings bill.gave us a $3.15 discount.so very dissatisfied and will not go back again!

Cody's is a very chill place to go with family lunch time or dinner.
It also a good place to go with friends for evening drinks and dinner.
Ask for server Amelia, very nice girl and great server.

Fun place but we sent back undercooked chicken fried steak. They microwaved it. Sad because we have eaten there before and enjoyed it. I'll try again but it'll be a while.

The food was good. (any issue we did have was fixed right away)! I just feel bad for the wait staff as they are so short staffed.show. Kindness!
