Coliseum of Comics Lakeland reviews
20Nice place. They have a good selection of comics and gaming supplies. The staff is very friendly and accommodating making it a nice place to visit
Like the shop but I feel some of the people that work there hate talking to customers or dealing with them. I had a cashier refuse to continue my past stamp book for discounts on a purchase I made because they "already started writing on another book". It made me want to just order magic cards through Amazon.
The only spot I know of that still sells comics and cards and alot of other things it's a beautiful place to visit for sure
I absolutely LOVE the Lakeland team! They really make you feel welcome when you come in, but make you feel broke leaving! Haha! They are extremely good at getting you to say YOLO and get the statue.
Best comic book store in the world. Plenty of room to move, clean, organized and awesome decor. Great selection of new comics and an abundance of back issues. Plenty of treasures to find here. Amazing staff as well.
I love this store! The employees know me by name (or at least can recognize me), they have great suggestions, the prices are reasonable. They have games, comics, trades, Funko figures, statues.tons of stuff! I recommend this store to anyone looking for a comic shop.
Absolutely wonderful customer service. My girlfriend and I went in to go buy some miniatures, not knowing what we were doing at all. Deric helped us greatly, and even let us know they would be doing a painting instruction the next day. We came to the store and Deric went above and beyond with teaching us to paint our minis, and the rest of the store was very helpful too. Thank you so much.
I’ll be shopping else where. Grabbed some Pokémon cards was accused of trying to steal them. Spoke to manager she said “sorry you feel that way” I’ve been a customer here for a long time come in almost ever Saturday. There’a no sign that says “ask for help for cards”. No more
Today was my first time shopping here. There were older comics on the floor in a long box. I brought them up to the register to buy them and the cashier said they couldn't sell them to me because they were not ready to sell. This is bad customer service and these items shouldn't even be on the floor. I won't come here again.
First time visit the other day. Great atmosphere and selection of merchandise. First time in several years that I've been in a comic book shop that felt "right". I definitely recommend and will probably go broke there.
First time in the Lakeland location but it absolutely met my expectations especially compared to other comic collectible stores in the area. Staff was incredibly helpful, selection is outstanding, and tables galore for any gaming you could be interested in. Highly suggest when in the area!
Great selection of comics and toys. They even ordered an item I was looking for from their Tampa store and had it brought to the Lakeland store for me to pick up.
Great place. The parking is a bit painful, but their selection and staff are fantastic! Slightly on the high end for price but they have a card based discount program that makes up for it.
Every employee we've ever dealt with had been so knowledgeable and friendly! My family and I love board games and card games and wanted to try RPG (role playing games) and the young guy with the blue hair helped us today (I didn't get his name). He answered all of my wife's many questions and helped us get what we needed to get started. They also have a rewards program which is cool because for every $100 spent you get $10 off your next purchase and you can accumulate them to save even more if you're wanting an expensive game. All said, this place is great for everything games and comics related! 10/10 recommend!
First time in this shop and it was a great experience. The staff members were very friendly. I've been in too many other comic shops where you're treated lesser because you might not know something trivial about comics. This place wasn't like that. It has a cool vibe and they have a great selection of trades and wall books. I would definitely recommend this place.
The workers here helped me find the issues that I wanted, and helped me sign up for future issues without me having to sign up for anything.
If I could leave a negative review on here I would. I entered the shop to buy some stuff and was immediately snapped at about not having a mask. When I told the employee I had COPD and was not able to wear one due to health reasons I was immediately asked to leave. She then told me to order curbside from now on. I was very upset as I was planning on spending several hundred dollars in there, not just for myself but for my kids. I will never return. If you wish to visit there please rethink your decision. I highly recommend miniaturemarket.com instead.
They haven't been hosting any game events lately due to covid concerns, but they have an awesome selection of collectibles and table top gaming accessories
Cool selection of comics and figurines. There's a decent sized book (mostly how-to's and fantasy things) section as well.
The staff was very helpful and organized well for a smaller comic book shop. And beautiful displays of collectible statues and such
