Color Me Mine reviews
14I LOVED THIS PLACE! A literal dream the options where plentiful and there where loads of colors to chose from and since its in the mall there's loads of stuff to do outside of just pottery my kids loved it so much I would suggest to all parents but it is a little expensive depending on what you choose but it is SOOO much fun!
Had a sister date night and wanted to do something special with her. Took her to ceramics painting at the mall. It was a wonderful idea because we both enjoy our time together. The result turned out great. This was our second time. One lady had helped us out with the color and different techniques. I recommend coming here for a date night with someone special and it is a very great experience to gift to someone. Make sure to come on in 2 hrs before closing.
Nice place to take your kid or love one. Not only will you share an experience, but you'll have something to take home to remember it by.
I was dragged here against my will by my best friend and actually enjoyed it. Not as expensive as I thought it would be, and there was a cool collection of pottery to choose from to paint. It seems pretty cool for all ages and I will probably go again. Staff was also chill and helped a lot whenever I screwed my piece up. Anyway 10/10, def suggest to try it out.
It was okay the selection that they had was low they did not have a whole lot of stuff to choose from I was quite a bit disappointed in the items that they had available. But we were doing this for the kids so they can make something for their grandparents for Christmas we were able to choose a couple of items and they were able to paint them and get what they needed done done. The service was also not very good the girl was always going to the back or missing around and not keeping an eye on what we needed when we needed more paint Etc. They were not busy there is a couple other tables of older people that were painting and doing their stuff people that it looked like had been there numerous times before this was our first time so I was not overly impressed. I am from Arizona and was just visiting.
I loved the Atmosphere, I work literally 7 days a week, I came to the Avenue's Mall to paint my Truck with Tree, but I was unable to finish it, the woman stored my project until I was able to finish it. A week later I was able to finish. And only charged me $5.00, Thank you so very much. I can't wait to see the Finished project.
The employees are nice and helpful. The options of merchandise to select from are creative and thought-provoking. Their turnaround time is relatively quick. They also have many paint colors to choose from. If you don't finish your painting, you can bring it back at a later time for $5.
LOVED it here! They are friendly, helpful, and so fun! Their selection is large and the prices are reasonable. Plus the music was fun!
Received a chipped cup when I was picking up, they did not do anything about it, now I can’t use it, very disappointed
Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Mya/Mia (sorry if I don't know how to spell it!) was our table attendant and she was great.
When I first arrived with my husband, she was very helpful with explaining the pricing. $9.99 for the paint-it-yourself session for 1 adult plus however much your ceramic piece costs - my frog was $22 plus tax. $33.33 total and I added a tip for the staff. With that price, you get to choose 5 colors in your palette for your artwork.
I'm a multimedia artist for fun and I know these art supplies aren't typically that pricey (if you do this at home), but their upcharge for the ceramic pieces (that probably cost $0.50-$5 in bulk) is understandable to cover their overhead (i.e. Utilites, rental space, staffing, etc.) and having to glaze then bake your piece properly (which I couldn't do on my own!).
Sidenote: The colors on the sample plate that they show you are NOT the same color as the paint they offer because the sample plate is showing post-glaze/post-bake colorations. The paint colors will look more pastel / lighter than the sample plate. Don't worry, supposedly it turns out okay. Also the 5-color paint palette refills are free / included with your session fee, so if you run out of paint, just ask politely for a refill. A stress-free process ️
2nd Sidenote: Do not expect to take home your creation on the same visit. The staff will inform you that it takes 5 to 7 days for the baking process. Considering they are always busy at this shop, the wait time is probably since they so many pieces to bake. If you live out-of-state, I would ask if they have shipping options.
3rd Sidenote: It took me about 1 hr 47 minutes to paint my frog. If you plan to do this, it's best to set aside a good 2 hours to have a relaxing paint session. Also, be aware that you will be surrounded by other adults, teens, and kids painting about 5-6 feet away from you so you'd need to be comfy with a busy social atmosphere.
I will post an update with photos of the baked ceramic frog (around August 6th) after we pick it up!
I had so much fun here with my kids. It wasn’t very crowded and the staff was very helpful. I did kind of feel like we were being rushed out as we were finishing our pieces (it was almost 6pm and they closed at 7pm according to the hours posted).
Very friendly staff! When my group ran out of paint they were quick to fill us back up. We picked up our painted pieces a week later and they turned out great!
Absolutely worth it. Had an amazing experience staff were great and product came out amazing. Price of the experience is under 10$ then you pay the price of the item you decorate.
This was our first time here and we had such an amazing time. The young ladies who work there were beyond amazing and attentive. They start off by explaining how it all works especially when it is your first time like us. Then they have you pick a piece and also pick a color. Then when you are running out of the color they fill it back up and they are really on top of it. I would definitely say that the young ladies made the experience fun and memorable for us and I will definitely come back again. They do offer a military discount so a big plus to bring your family. Once your finish painting they said it takes about five days for the finished product. We are so excited I'll post the picture when it's done. They have ladies day out and parents date night where you drop of the kiddies and go shopping while they paint big plus.
