Columbia Restaurant reviews
19 This was a special date. We arrived a few minutes after our reservation, but was quickly seated. The wait staff was wonderful, the menu was fantastic, and the food was beyond description.
This is NOT Mexican food. This is Spanish/Cuban. Expect at least an hour for your meal, but there are times to sit down and enjoy the warm Cuban bread.
Excellent place, good service from the moment you arrive, even without a reservation. Good menu, an average of $50 per person, very well made dishes, with flavor, good seasoning, good appetizers, I recommend the fried squid rolls and a variety of other dishes. Even though the restaurant was full, the girl who served us tried to be agile. He did it. I recommend this restaurant 100%. In the Historic Center of Old San Agustín.
I truly don't know why this place is so popular. Went here for a team-building event and got 4 Tapas selection that our table shared. None were truly tasty. I had 1 Margarita, and it didn't even taste like a Margaritas.
I go to St. Augustine often and would never go back here again. Also, the waitress wasn't friendly at all.
This is the first negative review I've given a restaurant, but I truly feel one is in order for this restaurant.
Brenda and I have been only to the Sarasota location (in fact, we celebrated Brenda's birthday by having dinner at the Sarasota location) several times prior to going to the St. Augustine location on Sep 22nd.
In Sarasota, we have always enjoyed the food, the people, the service, the atmosphere.
In our first time at your St. Augustine venue, we were equally impressed and enjoyed our visit in every aspect! And, the very design and layout of the building, the decor, etc.were extra special!
And, last, but far from least, Baylee.what can I say about Baylee? Bayley was fantastic! Pleasant young Lady, did a fantastic job! As I was having the Cuban and soup, she recommended the one that is her favourite, and I loved it! She's a keeper!
Thank you!
Food missing the Cuban flavor.
Had better from other restaurants around the St Augustine.
This place is amazing! Will definitely be coming back. I'm already missing it! Lol.great atmosphere and the staff and food is amazing
Awesome place, beautiful in side, service top knotch, and the food was amazing.we had the double crab croquettes and the ropa veija, most definitely recommend, and most definitely we'll be back!
In the historic district of St Augustine very popular place to eat and very busy. Many levels to seat guests. It's a great variety of choices on the menu
First and foremost, the bread is worth the trip! I know that sounds absurd but when you try it, you will understand. It is flaky and light and personally tastes like bread from a New York deli.
We have been going for years and the 1905 salad is awesome as are the tapas. I love the paella and all the seafood.
This use to be our favorite place to eat years ago. It has changed when it comes to the quality of the food and drinks. The salad was old and brown with just a bad taste. The margarita didn’t taste like a margarita at all. The sangria also was not the same as it use to be. So sad we will not be able to enjoy this restaurant again. Service has also gone downhill. Our server came by once and that is it. There are plenty of other places to eat in St Augustine we will go to from now on.
Food was delicious. Had stuffed grouper, Mahi and the bread pudding. Sooooo good. And our server, Ernesto, was the best. Thanks for a great experience.
The 1905 salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had! The pitcher of sangria was also divine. It was a little loud, but the ambience was nice. The prices were lower than we anticipated
The service was terrible. The waitress was never around to ask for anything nor did she come back to our table to refill drinks. The server came out with our food (appetizers, salad, and entres) all at once and all of it was cold. We had a party of 6. We asked for our waitress and he said he couldn’t find her. Some of our orders were incorrect also. We finally saw the waitress and asked for refills and boxes and left. It wasn’t busy so there’s no excuse.
Carolyn and Jack at the bar made our experience second to none. We look forward to our next chance to visit our new friends.
The Columbia Restaurant in St. Augustine is a culinary gem. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and immersed in the charm of its historic setting. The Spanish and Cuban flavors on the menu delighted my taste buds, and the sangria was a perfect complement. With attentive service and a lively atmosphere, the Columbia Restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking a delicious taste of Spain right in the heart of St. Augustine.
Gorgeous building with several rooms of various sizes, a couple of which are relatively small, quiet, and cozy. If you order 1905 Salad recommend you request either dressing in the side or to go light on it b/c mine was drenched in dressing
The second I opened the door I was greeted by the host Brooke. I really admire that! I was 30 feet away and she drew me in. She told me the bar was upstairs where I was greeted by jack and mike. Mike was incredibly helpful on navigating me through the entire menu! I was blown away by the food and service and it's 2023! Things aren't the same but this place was on top of it! I had an incredible time. I ate every morsel. Wow o wow! 10/10 reccomend
It has a beautiful decoration, something that is enjoyed on the same level as the food. Very friendly staff. Super recommended.
If you are ever here, you must try the Queso Fundido and the Churros „Tres Amigos“. So delicious! Also, the restaurant is so beautiful from the inside. We came here two days in a row because we liked it so much.
