Comfort Inn & Suites St. Pete - Clearwater International Airport

Really nice hotel.had a Room over looking the pool and Ocean.staff was polite and helpful and rooms were very nice and clean.

Staff was friendly. The overnight front desk lady and the front desk gentleman in the morning were both friendly. Breakfast was simple but convenient. The rooms are outdated. The room I stayed in was clean but had a stale smell and the bathtub was in need of a paint job. It was not in good condition. Paint was chipping and you could see black mold on the corners. Please fix that. It looks terrible. The hotel and carpet feels old. There was a stale smell in the room and the area right outside the elevator on the 2nd floor had not been cleaned for several days. I could tell because they were stains on the floor outside the elevator that were still there for several days.

Room needed remodel, lots of stained caulk and flooring, but seemed clean nonetheless. Service was super friendly and helpful - especially Andre who drove the shuttle and also provided other customer service. The location isn't near a lot to walk to and is near some questionable stores. It does have an outdoor pool.

Got bug bites all over my body. Our friends stayed in a room just below us and she also had bites all over. We had them verified by a Dr as Bed Bug bites before notifying the hotel and writing this review. Hotel staff blew us off because we didn’t complain right away however we had left at 4am and flew to a destination with severe freezing weather over Christmas and a Drs visit took a few days to verify what we had feared. Feeling really gross and worried I brought them into my home and onto the airplane. Ugh!

Compliments to this hotel and staff! We arrived fresh off an 8 day Carnival cruise from Port Tampa at around 8: 00am. We were planning on leaving our bags with the desk clerk and just hanging out until our room was ready since check-in wasn't until 3pm. The sweet lady at the front desk checked and said she had 1 room available and went ahead and checked us in on the 4th floor. We tried our key cards but they didn't work. I went back down and she reprogrammed them again but they still wouldn't open the door. She then came up with me and used her master key card only to find that there was someone staying in the room. The previous night clerk apparently had checked in the room and hadn't put it in the computer system. The lady was very apologetic to the person occupying the room and us as well. We went back downstairs and she placed us in a 1st floor room and personally checked it out and made sure it was unoccupied. She also allowed us to get breakfast from the bar which was delicious and nice since we hadn't eaten breakfast yet. An older gentleman was in the lobby and he was very kind and offered us coffee and water later that day as we were heading next door to the Dunkin Donuts. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If you have the opportunity to stay here I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a free airport shuttle to St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport. It is an older hotel which does show its age but is very well kept and has everything you need for a safe, quiet and comfortable stay. Don't let little hiccups in life keep you from smiling, saying please and thank you!

This was a great find. The rates are fair compared to what we saw online. The service when we arrived and at breakfast and shuttle to the airport were great. The breakfast was filling, eggs and sausage and waffles can't go wrong. The rooms are dated but for the price they were clean and comfortable.

Busy location and in front of airport entrance. Planes does fly straight above so some noise. Receptionist is friendly. The hotel is very dated, but bed is good. Some ice machines are offline. Next time Probably stay at a newer hotel for a little more cost. The breakfast is ok. The scramble egg was very salty.

Really enjoyed our stay. Sort of ended up here when the place we'd reserved cancelled us unexpectedly. There were no reservations available, but the night clerk Tanya really bent over backwards to get us in at 2am and saved us from having to sleep in our car.

As it turned out, the room was great and the complementary breakfast was a great variety and super filling. We ended up staying three nights, and didn't need to have lunch any of those days as we were so full. Will definitely use next time we are in town.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel because of the cleanliness and great service.

The double bed room suite is the room I highly suggest you stay in when you go to this hotel.

They offer very nice refreshing lemon water. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Pool is nice and heated, great size.

All the things you need were great - clean, adequately lit room; very comfortable bed; above average towels; friendly, competent staff; no roaches or other bugs. Didn't get to enjoy the complementary breakfast, but I'll bet it was on par with the rest of my experience.

Great job! This hote is going into my "GO-TO" file. See you folks next time I'm in Tampa.

This Vicki lady is so rude and condescending. Guest services is definitely not a job for her with the type of personality and rudeness that she possess.

The Room was clean and beds were comfortable. But that's the only good thing.
First problem: The first morning we were woken up to a fire alarm. Turned out to be burnt toast in the breakfast area. No one made any announcements that it was a false alarm nor did anyone silence the alarm. The alarm kept going off until the fire department showed up. Not only do I know how hotels are to be ran, I'm also a firefighter. There was no reason someone couldn't silence the alarm and have the fire department reset it.
Second problem: our room was never cleaned over any of the 3 nights we stayed. It's just pure laziness and greed that the management won't hire more people and laziness on housekeepers side for not doing the work that's needed in a hotel. If you don't have the staff to clean all the rooms in the hotel, only rent out rooms that can be cleaned.
Third problem: they only had 1 waffle maker. Really need more for the size of the hotel. Also no one set out non stick spray to spray the waffle maker prior to use. 2 of the 3 mornings the waffles I made were useless to eat because they got stuck on the iron and broke off in pieces when trying to peel it off the iron.

At this point I won't stay here again. If they fix the problems listed, I would definitely stay again.

Fairly comfortable hotel to stay for a night or two. Enjoyed friendly service during breakfast. Food quality was mediocre. Definitely better than no breakfast or grab-n-go breakfast. Our corner suite was spacious and plenty of seating spaces.

Very close to Clearwater Airport

Joseph, attended us during our stay. For a family of 5 we were pretty needy. He helped us with an additional comforter, crib and towels as well as hand towels. He had a great attitude and made our stay worthwhile. The room we were in was perfect. The bedroom was separated from the living and extremely spacious. It was exactly what we needed. The bathroom was a little small but hey for a last minute trip, it worked. Would definitely recommend.

The front desk last Vicky was extremely rude to me over the phone when I called about the problems about my stay. I was treated so rudely and in a con·de·scend·ing manner, it was not suprising, but CH members shouldn't have been treated like that, period!
The rooms had old, old, carpeting in them, vents in A/C Ptac units were filthy, dusty and housekeeping was not the best during my stay. Very hot hallways on 3rd and 4th floors, uncomfortably hot. It felt strangely weird that the breakfast attendant woman was standing there watching everyone, I suppose she was doing her job seriously but it was very odd, uncomfortable vibes, like if I took to much foods. I would get a scolding or they were counting. Masks were still being worn by general manager, and others, which I was uncomfortable with. They DO NOT work againt the Charlie-19! You can still get it with cloth masks, end of story. I regret staying here and the carpet was the same as a dumpy CI&S near MOA in MN I stayed at, old, not updated, retro, not remodled at all, except for lobby. The mantience guy, Russel, told me it was built in 1987 and he was still seeing orginal pipes and problems he had to fixed that hadn't been fixed that in that long. The pool looked extremely large, no hot tub (jacuzzi) which is lousy for a large CI&S this size, in a busy are of Pinellas, next to PIE! I felt treated so poorly that I wanted a refund and they refused, and I was told the manager was "going to do something, but he didn't know what" by above mentioned staff. I have stayed at many. Many Comfort Inn&Suites in different States and wouldn't stay at this on again. Many other places to stay, across the street, etc in this area.

Excellent hotel, excellent room and space, very clean, and the staff was outstanding from check in to check out! I could definitely stay here again!
