Community Care Family Clinic reviews
6 Checking in person wasn't professional. I'm on chemo and they told me to wait outside.
I said I can't be in the heat, that they normally put me in a room away from everyone. Said to go sit in my car.
I use a cane and I'm very unstable on my feet. They wouldn't allow my daughter to go back with me.
Was able to get in and quickly. No waiting 30- 60 minutes for my scheduled appointment.
Second time I have tried calling and getting an appointment for someone in my family. We’re new to the area and need a GP/family dr.
The lady that answered my first phone call told me they don’t do pediatrics. Even tho why I need a Pediatrician for my son I’m not sure! I told her why he needs to be seen, very basic, and she said they don’t see any children. After months of looking for someone local, I tried again - BECAUSE THEY’RE WEBSITE ADVERTISES THAT THEY SEE FOR PEDIATRICS as well as a slew of different things…again front desk told me no peds!
I asked her to double check with someone as this is per your office website! This is in the very description and once again the service I’m doing for isn’t anything major! Any GP could see him!
I was hold for 8 mins when “Amber” picked up and said she needs to put me on hold as she’s with a different customer! I said, well I’ve been on hold for sometime now. Amber says “oh okay” and proceeds to hang up on me.
Not sure where their 5 star reviews are coming from.
Horrible what its turned into, and very rude nurses, especially one named Glenda. Never going back
I came to Community Care on 9/29/20. When i arrived at approximately 8: 30a, i was told i would to come back at 10: 30a, as they had no record of me as a previous patient.
When I returned at approximately 11a, they had not been told of my earlier encounter, and checked me in. Another 45 minutes of waiting and I was called to the back, triaged, and told that I would need to come back late that afternoon, around 6pm, for an appointment.
I returned that evening for my appointment, and complained of lasting lower abdominal pain that had persisted for several days, which they diagnosed as generalized abdominal pain, and ordered Labs & Imaging to be performed on or around 10/14/20, a follow-up pappointment to review the Labs on 10/20/20, and sent me home.
The pain grew more intense, and on 10/1/20 I traveled to Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, where I was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and had surgery within 48 hours of admission.
I don't think anyone needs to be a doctor to know where I would be, had I waited fourteen extra days to have the Labs done instead of heading to an emergency room.
