They took such good care of my dogs! I took them to TLC to get neutered and how they done it put my boys in pain and infection took off. Companion stepped up immediately and got me in just an hour after me calling. Within 24hrs my boys were already looking and feeling better. Love these guys definitely my permanent vet.

Update: after being with them for 3yrs now I've had to leave them. When I first started coming here the people cared more about the well being of your beloved baby than making money. Over the years the prices have tripled. I brought in my senior dying cat and was charged $460 for blood work and urine (urine they couldn't collect I had to go home n figure out to get it myself then bring it back) now this is 2 days before Thanksgiving also. They now care more about making money than the care of your baby. The corporate part has taken over the well being and care for your furbaby. Dr Bennett didn't seem like she even cared when I told her I couldn't do the full amount up front. She was fine sending me on my way with nothing until I started complaining more. It's sad I had to sit here and complain and ask questions to get some kindve help for my senior baby. The manager seemed to care mor about to get w.e money she could out of me, and did. Might be a lacking thanksgiving for my 1yr old but at least I'll have my cat. Went from my favorite vet to one I'll only mention not to go too unless you can afford to spend half your rent or more for only information, not even treatment.

We brought our chiwinnie fur-baby here to establish care, the staff and DVM were very friendly, polite and professional. We felt that they have excellent care and good price points compared to other Veterinary Clinics in the area.

I have had multiple pets go through Companion Animal Hospital and the reason I go there is Dr Patricia Mattson. She is a very caring veterinarian and I know my pets are being well taken care of.

If I could rate a 10, I would. Without going into great detail, before finding CAH, we had endured some horrible experiences at other vets as well as prices that were beyond outrageous. We had to put our fur baby down today. My husband and I could barely hold back our grief after loving our little man for over 15 years. I called CAH and their prices for euthanasia and cremation were hands down the best I had heard and I think I called every vet in Lakeland. Now, forgetting price as a reason to choose, they were the most compassionate people when we got there - the entire staff could see we were struggling and were so kind. The vet herself, Patricia Mattson performed the euthanasia procedure and even though the waiting room was full, she did not rush and listened to our stories about Taz. She gave him a sedative to ease his crossover. He so gently fell asleep, that although we felt incredible grief, we knew he was out of pain and suffering. I highly recommend this vet, I will never go to any other. Thank you CAH for being so wonderful and compassionate during our difficult time.

Staff unprofessional. This place is a "Bait and Switch" business. Will never go back again.

This website says they take exotic animals and when I call to see if they can see my ferret they said no. This place doesn't see Ferrets.

I love this place, every one of the staff are friendly and always happy, they are singing and laughing, and all are so knowledgeable, they go out of their way to make you comfortable and help you. All the animals love the staff and Dr. The Dr.talks to you as a friend not a customer she is so very friendly, and you know she loves her job with how she is with the animals. Every animal along with mine that I have seen in the office is happy and wagging their tails when they see the staff. I would highly recommend Companion Animal Hospital to all.

Pat Mattson DVM and her crew at Companion Animal Hospital are top notch - Have been with them since 2008 when I met Dr Mattson at the Emergency Clinic. Caring and thorough- Try them - you won't be disappointed-

I made a appointment for my dog to have his nails clipped. They charged me $40 plus $22 for a tech visit tat I was not informed in advance about a up charge. I have been on hold for 20 minutes after I spoke with the receptionist Ashley and complained. She said I will speak with a supervisor that may not be there tomorrow. So Ashlyn got on the phone and said her supervisor which is name is Sierra, which is a temporary person will call me back in regards to this up charge of a tech visit. I have bought my dog there before for a check up which the pet store recommended for his first vet visit because they have a contract with them. They suggested my dog for other things and never charge me any tech visit for the same visit. She also stated that the reception is new and she's sorry that she's not aware of all the rules and didn't inform me of the tech visit. I still want my $22 back and she stated that she will have the temporary supervisor call me back later. That is not acceptable and unprofessional. You're ripping people off I have a bill of $122. Also, the place is not very clean nor is it organized. I will take my business elsewhere.

I have been a long time client. They are so wonderful to my dogs. I am so grateful to have such great care and knowledge. I highly recommend.

From bringing our New Pup home last March to getting ready to move this year. Companion has been awesome for us and our pups who are happy and healthy. Everything is up front to so you KNOW what to expect. Our last visit to check out our oldest was due to a sniffle that had gotten worse and an occasional wobble in the walk BUT we were in and out in 30 minutes with x-rays, blood work, and meds. TY so much and we will miss you guys.

Our baby Riff Raff entered the last stage of his life at 15 1/2 years. The Dr and staff were so compassionate and took such good care of him. I couldn't have asked for better care during such a heartbreaking time.

Truly an amazing practice willing to go the extra mile for their clients, also they will help educate the clients as well.

I've been coming to Companion for about two years. I love Dr. Mattson. She is absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, we did not see her today. We saw Dr. Londono for the first time today and it will be the last. We came in because we think our dog may have had an allergic reaction to some food she ate about 3 weeks ago, we stopped immediately and went back to the original. She insulted me for the two brands of food (blue buffalo basics and fresh pet) I give my dog, saying they are junk food and the equivalent of eating mcdonalds everyday. Dr. Mattson had previously approved the blue kibble last year, so if it were bad I think she would have said something. When I told her it isn't fleas because I check her often, she was angry that I don't keep her on flea prevention. I explained she doesn't go near any other dogs and the neighborhood lawn is treated. She said it was a necessity in Florida to have dogs on flea prevention. I could understand if my dog spent time outside other than bathroom needs, but she doesn't really go outside because of the heat.
I also asked about my dog's discharge she had been having for about a week. Dr. Londono belittled me for not coming in sooner as this is an urgent issue. She said she could have a UTI and it could go to her uterus, requiring a hysterectomy which would cost 2k-3k, my dog could die and I would still need to pay the bill. She said it was too late in the day to run tests and that i would need to bring a sample tomorrow asap. Not only did i have to pay $200 today, but I need to come back tomorrow to drop the sample. The money is not an issue, especially if something is actually wrong. I tried to make an appointment last week, but there were few openings. She made me feel stupid for waiting so long to bring it up. I was seen about an hour after my appointment. I understand it is the end of the day and you want to educate people, but that is no excuse to be rude and condescending when I'm just trying to bring up my concerns. She made me feel stupid. I will not be visiting when she is in the office again.

I have been going to Dr. Mattson for almost three years and have never had an issue with her or her staff. Ever since she has taken on traveling vets I have not had one good experience with any of them. I have seen a traveling vet three different times on three different pets of mine and they all seem to be completely incompetent. They have never done a thorough examination. They do not address your concerns or even listen to the symptoms or situations you are describing. Some of them don’t even seem to know proper animal etiquette. It seems that they are literally just there to treat you as a number and get money and go. However, Dr. Mattson herself is wonderful with all my animals and practices fear free vet visits by letting the animals smell her first and offering them many treats. She is also very through with her explanations, addresses all your concerns. I would recommend her in a heartbeat but I also recommend that if you get one of her traveling vets don’t let them steam roll you and make sure you stand up for yourself.
