The staff actually took their time to care for my baby and love on him! They were super clean and informative as well. The office is so cozy and welcoming. If you had nightmares at any previous vets Compassion Animal Hospital is a breath of fresh air!

Love the team at Compassion - from Kristy checking us in and out in a timely and professional way to Daisy’s wonderful manner with my little Ava Boo, everything was fast and easy. Of course Dr Hoke’s careful exam and handling of my baby girl put me at ease and the valuable information she provided was greatly appreciated. Great job!

Been taking my dogs here for years. I can’t express how amazing Dr Hoke is. She takes the time to talk to you and loves your animals as if they were her own. Can’t say enough about this amazing doctor!

I am so thankful I found this place when we first moved to the area. Everyone is super friendly and they always take the best care of our pet. They listen to your concerns and they have a great schedule which allows for you to make appointments easily. I can't speak highly enough about them!

GREEDY DISHONEST is description. They said one thing on phone then charged $585 to credit card and THEN said they were unable to do surgery they took xrays & blood for! I took Chihuahua to Harmony vet care in Tampa next morning for the emergency surgery & Compassion refused to respond or even send results that they scammed me off from. Once they get credit card they dont care. I'll be filing complaints for 585 days on every website i can. Harmony in Brandon & Tampa were amazing less money and my Tink-Tink is alive and healing well. Shame on these greedy people. All they care about is $$. Compassion is a joke.your desperation is what they feed off.they take advantage of pet owners with money when they are desperate to save their fur babies. Disgusted at how they lied to me & over charged for preperations for a surgery they didnt even have the equipment to perform! 2 Thumbs down! And to top it off they didnt even send the blood work and xray to vet who actually did thesurgery, Im taking signed statement from that vet to court as i sue Compassion house. Read thru the feedback and youll see they have done this to multiple people.

Before I bought my cat in he was getting worse day by day, the day I brought my cat in within three days he was so much better. The difference was night and day. I am very, very satisfied bringing my cat there. I have no regrets and I'm glad I did, what they said was going to happen to my cat is happening 100%. Thank you so much!

They don't care about your pet, they only want money.
They lie about prices and what your pet will really go through. They hurt my pet while performing a test on him and I heard him complain like he never did before. They had told me it wouldn't hurt him.
The place is chaotic. They wrote the wrong test results and I had to go back to get an actual correct result.
Besides that, as I was getting ready to get my results, a saw a couple leaving the office, crying hopelessly because their pet had just died.

I will never take my pet here again, it was a waste of time and money, and a nightmare for my pet.

Compassion is the Best!
Everyone is great there and take such good care of our babies Max and Prissy. Kristy is wonderful and very helpful. She brought in a mealworm farm for my wife. To feed her family of lizards in our backyard.
Haley who is also upfont, is great as well.

I am new to the area and did not have a vet yet for my beagle. She started to have extreme pain and they were able to see her the same day without charging an extra fee like a lot of other vets wanted. The staff and doctor were very friendly and took good care of her. Everything was explained very well and the cost was reasonable. I am happy to have found them:)

Compassion Animal Hospital is by far the best Vet I have ever had the pleasure of taking my 2 cats to. Kristy, one of the insanely nice techs at the front desk has always made it a point to make me feel comfortable and obviously absolutely loves the animals that come in. She was very sweet and kind, something you dont typically get with associates who have to deal with customers face to face. The doctors i have been to here have all been very professional and willing to explain anything and everything that you have questions about or that they feel is necessary to explain. My multiple experiences with Compassion Animal Hospital have been nothing short of absolutely incredible and i could not recommend them enough. If you love your pets, You’ll love Compassion.

I've taken my stray cats here. I think its decently priced and people who handled my cats were very caring and understanding. Vets are knowledgeable.

We have been using this vet for the past couple of years. At first, they seemed great, but over time, there have been several things that have become huge issues.

1) There have been several times that I will call for a prescription refill (with 24 hours notice), and I end up having to call for days after before they finally say that it is ready.

2) They will give unnecessary vaccines without breaking them down and asking proper questions.

3 and the final straw) My dog has been taking the same medication for nearly 7 years (apoquel) for his atopic dermatitis. During that time, I have always had to do an annual visit to continue the medication ($70), but all of a sudden Compassion wanted $250 bloodwork done before I could get my dog the medication he needs and has needed for years (there is no alternative that is better). So now effectively, my dog's comfort and care has been placed behind two paywalls for a total of $320 before I can get the $100 medication that he has been taking for 7 years.

Plain and simple, be ready to pay some serious money for the smallest of care and make sure they break down each item with you. ASK QUESTIONS!

Extremely pleased. After using an ER Vet during the night, we brought Bella, our 14 year old doodle, to Compassion. We'd been disappointed with the ER night visit and thrilled to have a vet who seemed to care and listened well. VERY THOROUGH! Dr McMahon, I think? Also, great staff. Thank you! Thank you!

The staff was very welcoming. They got down on my dogs level and were very calm and thorough with her exam. They explained everything to me before doing anything, even prices to make sure I was ok with everything before they moved forward.
