Coney Island Drive Inn Largo

We were very excited to try this new venue after hearing so many good things about the Brooksville location. We had been longtime customers of Bruce's Chicago Deli in this same spot, and were glad to see another hot dog restaurant take its place. The staff are extremely friendly and really seem to care a lot about the restaurant and their guests. They've done an excellent job cleaning and redecorating the place. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the expectations. I realize everything is getting more expensive, however the price for what you get seems unreasonably high here. 2 of us ordered hot dogs, 1 had a sausage dog, and 1 had a corn dog. The hot dogs had no real taste to them, and blended right in with the buns. They were not served hot, or even room temperature. They were mushy and soft, and reminded me of "hot dogs" they served us in our high school cafeteria. The French fries were so greasy, all you could taste was the cooking oil. Very disappointing considering we asked for the celery salt fries specifically for the special flavor. The corn dog was so overcooked it was almost too hard to eat. The sausage dog was also very tough and cold. We had hoped to go back and try some of the other food options, but our food was so bad, I don't believe any of us will be back.

Great food. Fun atmosphere. So glad they opened a Cleatwater location. Get the street corn and the classic chili dog.

For all the hype, the food is terrible now I know why the prices are so cheap, I won't be going back

Dogs were great, staff was friendly, but the dining room felt like it was 90° we were sweating.
If they could turn down the A/C a little it would be a perfect place to eat!

Another great lunch. Always amazing service and the whole staff Kris, Melissa, Phill, Rich and Carter are awsome. They are great people and they will go above and beyond to make everyone have a happy visit and you won't be disappointed. Fast service and never disappointed when ever I come in.
So come down and enjoy some great food and service!

Just hot dogs.but that front door seems to not rest these peaple are eating a lot of hot dogs.
Ours will bring us back and will try them all.

Great concept, but the hot dod had no flavor. The coney sauce was bland. The highlight of my lunch were the cheese fries.

Coney Island took over the joint from Bruce's and really cleaned it up! Dogs were good and served quickly. Docked 'em a star because no pop refills!

1st time there. Very good food & prices. We will definately return. Everyone very friendly & courteous.

Went to The original Brooksville location then here because it was a lot closer and it is a 10/10 must go to!

Have been at all the other sites. NEVER DISAPPOINTED. So very happy they are here in Largo now!

My wife and I went here for a 3 pm late lunch on a Saturday. I had expected few people, but the dine-in area was full with enough seats for only another 15 or so! My wife ordered a long "Norm's Big Dog"; I had a foot long Reuben Dog with a side of Onion Rings. Both dogs were a little less abundant than I had hoped for - Norm's Big Dog had lots of slaw and chili, and 4 onion rings on top, but my Reuben had a wide strip of melted cheese on top, with so little kraut and 1000 Island dressing that I thought I had gotten a cheese dog by mistake. Both meals were delicious, however, and worth another visit. The Onion Rings were fried hard but with good flavor. I had the Sweet Tea to drink. Yes, it is sweet and yes, it is Tea. Nicely refreshing! So, to sum up, I've had far better hot dogs at other places. But, for the atmosphere (think Coney Island and Cracker Barrel had a baby) and the taste, I'll be back. Soon, I hope!

I have to say this was my second time coming in there. First time the hot dogs were this time they were absolutely perfect! This is how a hot dog should be and the pricing is very affordable. Mary impressed with the pricing you get 30% more value for your dollar and it's quality food! I would give more than five stars if I could.

In a relationship with hotdogs now. I will never ever taste a much better hotdog.
Fast friendly and very much welcomed.

As soon as my family walked in, they made us feel right at home, Amazing hot dogs, so many to choose, we tried four different ones all so good. The fries were on point, with so many toppings. Also my daughter had a fish sandwich, it was so good it was a gone in less than two minutes, last the price was so so so reasonable, I felt like I went back thru time. Thank you for everything!

Finally a hot dog joint that doesn't disappoint. Excellent iced tea, delicious hot dogs in all of genres and a wonderful; laid back atmosphere. Plenty of fun memorabilia and spot on staff! Definitely recommend this place

Delicious food with a fun atmosphere. The taco dog is delicious along with the fried pickles and poutine.
