Cool Stuff Games - Jacksonville

Ordered cards online for in-store pickup. The order arrived within 2 days at this location. But there were cards missing from my order. The invoice said it was still present and my card was still charged for it. If I hadn't checked while I was there I would have gotten all the way home without what I paid for. They offered to refund me for it But the fact that I was still charged in the first place for something that was not sent to me without even so much as an email telling me that they ran out of stock of this card really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Don't think I'll be returning.

My husband and I went with our daughter to look at Pokémon cards. She has recently gotten into them and we are pretty clueless. The gentleman working the counter was awesome. He was very helpful explaining the different sets and the difference between the game decks and the card decks. He also mentioned a couple other places we could look at for older cards. We will define be back!

It's cool but it's been here a minute and feels corporate. Also, I went in there to sell cards and the guy over the counter treated like I didn't know anything about what I was doing or my cards. I hated being there but they had really good prices on trade for cash so in the end I can't complain but I won't be back even if I need to sale more cards

Best place to go in Jacksonville for csrd games and board games. Very spacious and good selection of inventory.

Great family friendly game store that caters to roll playing board games and card games. They have a great selection of games and cards for sale as well as games that you can demo and play for free. They have a full size room with plenty of tables and chairs for everyone to enjoy whatever games you like. Great hours and staff as well. They do have computers for gaming online and ordering products. They have a few beverages available and do allow you to bring your own food and drinks! Awesome place to play D&D or any other game!

The staff are great and the people are friendly, the perfect place to go if your looking to just get out of the house and you can just grab your cards or boardgame and play casually with friends old and new there are also tournaments and pre-releases but if you want to get a new game but don't know the rules someone will be happy to give you a lesson and show you how.

Best game shop I have been to in a long time. They have great customer service and a great selection.

Funny to see Harriete’s review above mine. I was actually behind them and watched people in front of them and myself abuse the no limit rule. They got plenty of stock for everyone in line if they used a 1 or 2 per person limit. But I didn’t see anyone buy less than 4. And there were still about 20 people behind me that left angry as well at this poorly managed event. Unfortunate.

Just left the Brilliant Stars Pokémon TCG prerelease which was completely awful. We got 1 box. The last box. And we were maybe 8th and 9th in line. The no limit killed the event. I wouldn’t be surprised if people find better managed care shops that handle these events more fairly. Not the staff’s fault either. Whoever made the dumb decision not to limit for a prerelease is to blame if the shop loses business because people can’t trust that the events will be handled well. There needs to be clear lines as people were trying to skip ahead in line by going to the second register to get ahead of people who had been waiting since before opening. Vortex over in Orange Park handled the release much better. They got less stock so they limited it to 1 per person instead of 2. Tailoring the limit to the stock of the store to make sure scalpers can’t buy all of the stock shows that a business really belongs in this community.

Great vibe, amazing staff and pretty good prices, made good friends quickly and played a few games of mtg.one of my favorite hangout spots for sure!

The counter staff was able to answer my questions about availability of products as well as the product content. Thus I spent over $100 that I otherwise might not have. Good Service.

HORRID employees and even worse inventory. Last place I'd ever recommend for gaming/cards. They need new employees ASAP.

I recently sold two large batches of MTG singles (1000+ Cards). 5 stars! Sam is a great employee and was very helpful and knowledgable. The owner came over and said hi during my first visit. Nice guy. Customers coming in and out, most known by name as they walked in.

The cash prices were paid for my cards were more than fair. I was planning on selling several of the higher dollar cards on eBay, but the prices paid here beat what I could get on eBay, in many cases. Saves me so much time and energy!

I’m also about to leave a one star review for a competing store, Friendly Local Game Store. They are horrible.

Cool Stuff is the store you want to do business with, or just go hang out at.
