Coral Oaks, Palm Harbor FL

I have had several of my clients move in to Coral Oaks over the years. When my parents were finally ready, we checked out the rooms and facility in more detail and chose to make the move. It has been several years now and we are about to move over to the assisted side soon. I’m not even considering any other place. Coral oaks is a well run, super friendly place. The management does a superior job and picks staff that really seem to enjoy their jobs. I couldn’t recommend it more!

My mother recently moved into Coral Oaks and she has never been happier. The process was smooth and the staff supported her completely. From my own observations, everyone is very friendly, the grounds and buildings are kept clean and very well decorated, they have lots of activities that are all voluntary, and the environment is very welcoming. They do seasonal events which are well run and very fun for the residents, keeping things fresh and new throughout the year. We were very concerned about the selection process and Coral Oaks has proven to be the right choice in every way.

Beautiful facility with friendly and attentive staff. I was moving my Aunt in during Hurricane Ian. The staff was very accommodating for residents coming from other facilities coming in temporarily as Coral Oaks is roughly 70ft above sea level so it was much safer there than staying in lower lying areas.

Aside from that. Food is good and staff are very polite. I would recommend this facility for any family member concerned for their aged relatives.

My mom and her husband have lived here several months now. It is a beautiful facility with tons of extra perks: lovely park area, dog park, happy hour, beauty salon, church services, and movie nights. Not to mention weekly housekeeping and two delicious meals a day. We visited the pool this weekend and it was great. The maintenance men are always happy to help with hanging pictures and adjusting furnishings. I feel like they are both well-attended-to, safe, and happy at Coral Oaks. I couldn’t be happier with the facility.

This was the perfect move for my 94 year old active mom! No more cooking or cleaning and more time to join in fun activities and meeting new friends! Super clean and friendly facility!

My husband and I moved here several months ago after we sold our home. It has been quite a transition after living “on our own” for all 60 years of our marriage. But, at this time in our life, Coral Oaks is the place to be. Our apartment is lovely and we feel at home. I especially enjoy the pool and other activities planned by the staff. My husband is fortunate that physical therapy is available right here at Coral Oaks in the well-equipped gym. Sometimes I miss cooking but not very often. The meals here are enjoyable and, most of the time, are very good. We appreciate the staff all the way from administration, maintenance and dining to our housekeepers and how hard they all work to make Coral Oaks the place to be. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the activities staff. What a great job they do! Happy Hour with live music! (With a special shout out to Rush!)
Bottom line I give Coral Oaks 4 stars. There are a few areas that need improvement but they are aware and are working hard to make things better. I expect to move the rating up to 5 stars very soon.

I worked here in dietary for 2 months and got an inside look. Managers and others a rude and aggressive towards employees and become actors in front of the residents.
There is nothing Five Star about this place at all. Shop around. There's much better

My mother moved to Coral Oaks Independent Living almost 2 years ago. The staff have always been very friendly and super helpful. I was quite impressed with the amenities - heated pool, billiard room, theater, etc.along with the activities - happy hour, bingo and special events. My mother has made new friends there which relieved my apprehension about her acclimating to a new facility. She is also very picky about the food and her favorite night is Saturday which is prime rib night. Everyone I've talked to has said that Coral Oaks is the nicest facilities in the area (even people from other facilities). Coral Oaks is the best.

Compared Coral Oaks to other similar places in the Palm Harbor area, and my mother felt it was the best fit for her. In the 4 months since moving in she has made friends, enjoyed good food and received on premises physical therapy. During my visits, the residents all seem so happy and comfortable. Many people gather in the common areas to talk or play cards. Wonderful. Could not be happier for my mother

My sister has been resident for over 2 years and staff are lovely. She greatly enjoys the many activities. Shout out to the wonderful Krysta.

Both my father and father-in-law have lived here for years, and we have had outstanding experience with both the Independent Living and Assisted Living sides. Great, caring staff who are responsive and attentive. Lots of activities. Homelike atmosphere. Highly competent administration. We could not be more pleased.

My wife and I moved into Coral Oaks in Palm Harbor Florida, 3 1/2 months ago. Our experience has been better-than-expected. Coral Oaks is without a doubt a 5-star establishment. We have found the staff to be top grade, friendly and very courteous. The food, well I could go on for awhile, but let me say has been excellent. There is always some type of a fun and exciting event going. I know this by experience that everything starts from the top and as Dave the GM puts it this is your home and we want to treat you that way. A 5-star establishment and if I could give them 6-stars i would, Dr. Tony Falco

You must be persistent in your attempt to receive a response from management. I left three messages for a return phone call and on my fourth attempt, I Was asked to leave another message which I declined. Very poor communication skills. Beware.

My mother lived here for 10 years. Independent living was great. Assisted living was decent but some aides were not so good (especially on the night shift). When my mother's care level increased she was forced to move. No one (other than the receptionist Harvey) even took the time to say goodbye or wish her well. It speaks volumes that a place that was my mom's home for a decade basically diminished the relationship that we thought existed.

My Mother in Law has been an independent resident at Coral Oaks for about 4 years. Words can't express how thankful we are that she is there. Coral Oaks has the most incredible staff. Management, food servers, housekeepers, support staff, etc, are all the most pleasant, helpful, caring, patient, kind people I've ever seen. My Mother in Law truly loves each and every one of them, to me, that speaks volumes. Coral Oaks provides wonderful meals, parties, activities and church services. Since Covid-19 has become part of our daily lives I cannot say enough about Coral Oaks attention to keeping every resident safe. I was concerned going into the shut down how it would affect Mom being isolated from almost everything. Coral Oaks has made this entire experience as pleasant as it could be. Mom is in great spirits, healthy, happy and most importantly safe. Every staff member has sacrificed in their own lives happily to keep their residents as safe as they can be, that is how wonderful Coral Oaks is. If there was a 10 star button to push, we would.

The staff at Coral Oaks has been truly amazing both before and during the COVID 19 pandemic. Their willingness to
communicate with the family members of their residents has been nothing short of incredible. That kind of dedication and genuine caring is priceless!
