Coral Reef Aquariums reviews
7Was looking for coral and this was stop number 5 while traveling through and this was the first store that had a good selection and reasonably priced. Also looked at the selection of Fish once again good selection and looked healthy. Very helpful people packed up things very nice since I m driving to Chicago. Well worth the stop highly recommend stopping in.
Service is really nice and friendly. They have a good variety of fish both salt and fresh water.
All fish had ich and the owner was selling them knowingly without telling customers. Said he was doing a copper dip, no treatment in the tanks. Dead fish in tanks and others close to death. Will not go back do not recommend.
Nice and clean store. I was specifically looking for a healthy looking copperband fish that was eating and they kept me updated after they received a few on the progress as the fish went through their receiving process. Great purchase!
After looking everywhere for a axolotl for my daughter's bday, Coral Reef was so helpful. They picked their phone up right away, answered all of my questions and were able to work with my on a pick-up date that would better align closer to my daughter's bday. All other aquariums I called gave me a run-around on the phone. I would highly recommend Coral Reef Aquariums.
I recently moved to Tampa and was looking for a reef supplies store in the area. I decided to visit Coral Reef Aquariums after reading the positive reviews.
I was impressed by the selection and the quality of the livestock and all the supplies they carry. Justin is a wonderful, knowledgable and a professional person who cares greatly about his customers. He located a specific anemone I was looking for and then gave me a choice to pick from multiple samples. This is a great store and I am a customer for life.
The store is nice, has a-lot of pretty fish, anatomies and, corals. It’s sad to say that the employees aren’t doing a good job with cleaning the tanks and there are several dead fish that are just laying around, no one collecting the dead fish so the fish that are still alive are eating them and digesting, whatever parasite they have, the “healthy” fish are now getting sick. My boyfriend and I love to go drive around Brandon, Tampa and the St. Pete area just to see what all the fish stores offer. The employees at coral reef aquariums are sweet but need more experience with salt water. We bought a fox face and 4 damsels. Acclimated and introduced them in 2 different systems once we got home. Both systems are well-established with much more delicate fish than damsels. Not even 24 hours later they’re dead. Aren’t damsels the hardiest fish? So something is definitely up with coral reef aquariums water and the owner need to do a clean out of all the dead fish in each tank and medicate the main fish display. BUYERS BEWARE! I’m putting this review for learning and growth for the company and buyers.
