This is truly the worst law firm around! No questions asked. A law firm for men. What a joke. I have been in court now coming up on 3 years in May 2024. They have done absolutely nothing for me except take money. I have depleted all my funds and family has even helped. They let the courts just completely control everything, even when the other party does not comply with court orders. They just letting the court give the other party chance after chance after chance. I find this to be very unacceptable and just a way to keep bleeding money from their clients! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF THAT WAS A OPTION! THE WORST LAW FIRM FOR MEN! DONT HIRE THEM!

We as an organization truly had high hopes for this law firm, and considered retaining them for all of our clients. However, one of my clients used their Indiana office and they are the opposite of reliable and acted in severe misconduct.

Their website says how Cordell & Cordell wants to break the stigma about fathers, yet, the first thing they did was judge my client’s financial ability for absolutely no reason but to back out of a case they had no confidence in winning due to their lack of professionalism.

This law firm chose to refuse to help my client fight for rights to his daughter strictly because he had disclosed personal financial details to them to help in an aspect of his case. Then proceeded in telling my client that they had no belief in him and therefore they will not represent him any longer.

However, he has given them no indication that he was not going to render payment and even sent them a letter saying he was going to pay.

The law firm often took over 3 days to respond and on one instance, took over eleven days to respond to an email and did not make my clients case a priority or show their support in his case.

The only success they had was canceling a hearing that he would have won without the lawyers involvement. He did not retain them for the services they provided, he retained them to achieve his well deserved rights and visitation with his daughter.

The lawyer even boasted about how he was able to win this case, when he did not even need the lawyer, to win the case. Showing his arrogance and a classic technique of manipulation.

Do not use this law firm. They take advantage of fathers in dire need, lie to them to get the fathers to retain them with false hope, then drop them for absurd reasons and send them a bill for what is owed.

Then continue to email my client over and over trying to make him feel bad and basically hold it over his head that he has to use them until they decide to withdraw.

This law firm is a disgrace.

I required Jennifer Albano for a few legal matters and she did a great job. She answered all my questions and also let me know things i didn't know about. I would hire her again.

A family member hired Cordell & Cordell to represent in a civil suit. I would advise, do your research before hiring.

So deeply frustrated and disappointed in my outcome with Cordell & Cordell, specifically Suzanna Johnson. The advertising, the marketing is all about how you will have an attorney on your side. I did not experience this at all. I do not feel that I was represented well by Ms. Johnson especially during the critical and life altering mediation meeting.
I signed an agreement based on my lawyers advice that this was a "good deal" even though I expressed multiple times during the mediation, that I simply can not afford the $750/ month for the next 15 years. Based on my "exposure it could have been a lot worse" is what Ms. Johnson explained. I questioned the signing of the agreement on each of the next 2 following days only to be met with a harshness and aggravated tone by Ms. Johnson that I " failed to understand" that the judge would "impute my salary" based on what I made in a 5 month period (Feb 2023-June 2023) as opposed to what I have made for 15 straight years. When I questioned this Ms. Johnson said "it's the law"
At no time was I given advice to wait until my income would go down. At no time was my having to pay for my health insurance brought into account as part of the mediation. I never saw the financial affidavit from my ex wife.
I could keep going and I am already ranting but no one seems to truly care including Ms. Johnson or the mediator that their professional advice makes you feel pressured to sign the agreement. This is life altering for me. Not for them. To them it's just "another case", another block of billable time.
Finally, all that will come from this is a " sorry Mr. Klotz that you feel that way, please contact us if there is anything we can do to help" response. See the other reviews. That does not help me when I have to choose between alimony payments and food or gas for the month.

I used cordell and cordell so I could legally be apart of my daughters because me and the mother of my child had some of the worst problems coming out of wedlock. Suzanna Johnson was my attourney. I will be complete honest about this and say she is a really good lawyer. I did tell her my dad owned a small vineyard in Sonoma county which may have been a mistake. Don’t ever tell lawyers your family is financially comfortable. My case lasted 18 months due to funds and the mother of my child not cooperating. But the fact of the matter people who read this is that I PAID $29,000 for this case. It finally ended up only being a parenting plan. Weather we went to court or not $29,000 is absolutely theft or scam like. Be careful folks on who you pick. Even if my family is financially comfortable i had to pay $28,000 out of my pocket and work 2-3 Jobs` for 18 months while starving myself, no new clothes, stress to a degree where I had a 167 heart rate and a panic attack that led me to the ER. I would love it if I got back a few thousand. Sure I made the mistake in getting someone I didn’t know pregnant but remember people. Suzanna charged me $29,000 and after talking to other lawyers my family knows they all said “that’s absolutely ridiculous” for a custody battle/parenting plan that 2 parents that had one child costed that much. Anyways, I’m not on here to destroy suzannas career and she was a good lawyer. But after talking to 3-5 other lawyers I finally had to post this and tell the public about this. $29,000/18 months just for that and now being in heavy debt just so I could be in my daughters life 20% of the time. Not cool at all
