Our experience with Molly at Cornell Strings was amazing! We came in wanting to restore a violin that had been sitting in a garage for at least 40 years. The violin was in pretty bad shape and needed a fair bit of work to get it playing again, (years of rosin was caked on the top, and other major faults with the neck and fingerboard were also present). But after picking up the violin a few days ago it sounds amazing and she has done an absolute stellar job turning it from being unplayable and tattered, to playable and just stunning to look at!

Molly was also a wonderful, generous, and really sweet person to work with and I am very glad that I chose Cornell Strings to repair/ restore my violin! I will definitely be coming back to Cornell Strings for future upkeep and maintenance of my violin.

Molly worked with me every step of the way to make sure I was making an informed and appropriate purchase for my level and despite how awful it had to be hearing me playing a simple scale and not hitting the notes right she was patient and didn't rush me making my decision on an instrument.

After a twenty year hiatus, I decided to start playing again. Naturally, this led to a desire to upgrade to an intermediate viola. Molly is such a kind, patient person to work with. Through email, I discussed what I was looking for in an instrument and she had several options ready for me to try out at my appointment. I'm so happy with my new viola and also purchased a better quality bow. I highly recommend her for anyone with a stringed instrument need, be it repairs or purchases.

Molly and Scott are wonderful people and take pride in their craft! I brought in my violin I have had for over twenty years and they made it sound new again! It brought tears to my eyes when I played it again after all those years. Thank you so much! This is where I will take my violin from now on!
