Country Club of Sebring

Our daughter and her husband invited us to go have dinner at the Albatros at the Clubhouse for New Year's. My wife and I arrived earlier, and we chose our table, very few people! As we were directed to our table, we noticed that they had extremely bright lights above the dinner tables! I asked the waitress if these could be turned down, to which she stated that they could not! Soon our daughter and her husband joined us, and as we discussed the menu and ambiance, we decided that we we didn't want to stay, and decided to go elsewhere. My last review about about the Clubhouse bar and service was excellent. But unfortunately their idea of a New Year's dinner celebration, by the way they were only open till 10: 00 pm, was completely disappointing. I can understand that their clientele and focus are the daytime golfers and. But if you decide to have a New Year's dinner, the ambiance has to be focused on a "elegant " evening dinner and in line with your "New Year's menu". Sorry but this evening was a complete failure!

Coming from NE Texas I was very happy with the condition of the course. The staff is very friendly. The carts are new and well maintained. For less than $50 I was pleasantly surprised. I also enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful landscaping. Seeing my first Florida Gator was a bonus.

The course is in great shape and fun to play but tough from the yellows. I really enjoyed it and would play there again. And the restaurant serves great food which was a bonus.

I have now played this course several times since March. When I stopped playing here in 2016 it was because the course was a disaster top to bottom. But now what a change! Hard to believe its the same place. Excellent conditions and still improving! Hats off the the course manager J. J.knows what he is doing and it really shows. The price is also very reasonable, the restaurant is awesome and staff is very friendly. Best course in Highlands County in my opinion.

Been playing golf with a handicap for 50 years and was told that I was doing it wrong because I had to go to the back of the green and walk from there to a front flag. Well guess they don’t care to have any handicap people play golf at their place. I guess it’s just time to play a better golf course!

We loved it. Former golf course owners. We loved the golf course and it is in excellent condition and very courteous employees. The food was very good in the restaurant.

Just played today and I can't tell you what a joy it is to see the course getting back to it's original condition! Tee to green is very good and greens are excellent. Thanks again to the new owners!

Wow, what an enjoyable round of golf. Do not let the fly-over scare you away. Been playing this course 37 years and this is the best it's been in decades. (Even after 3" of rain the night before) Favorite layout in the county, but have played once a year because of previous conditions. Where you're supposed to hit the ball is doing great! The improvement under new owner is 100%. Thank you Sir! Great staff too
