Countrywood Apartments, Tampa FL

We gave them an application fee and deposit and when we were not able to get the apartment we have been getting the run around on getting our deposit back! Every time we contact the office they tell us manager is not in and they cant help us. It has been months!
this is a SCAM! Either a scam from the employees at the office or management or possibly both! DO NOT RENT HERE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY IF YOU DONT QUALIFY.

I don’t recommend, their application approval process is scammish, even when you’ve asked all the right questions and they provide you with what’s required. They say my husband application was denied because of no employment in the city of Tampa but he is in fact employed. What a joke? I’ve spoke with several other apartment complex’s who state that is none sense, long as your employed doesn’t have to be in the exact city. Go elsewhere, they will waste your time and try to take your money. Inquired about the return of my admin fees due to credit denial and was given 3 separate answer’s. No worries I’ve already made contact with my bank and will be disputing those admin charges.

In my experience of 4 years living in Country Wood Apartments I can say that it is a very nice apartment complex, well located, very safe and the administrative part is excellent, especially Mrs. Madeleine

I wanted to thank Ryan, in maintenance. He is thorough, has great expertise, a very diligent worker. Ordered part for a.c. And had it installed, when he said he would. Side note: This young man, stopped what he was doing one morning, to help this senior with a flat tire. He is always kind and respectful. Michelle and Madelaine, office staff, are very polite, listen and get things done, in a timely fashion. Thanks to all.

I highly recommend doing the leasing with Madelaine, she helped so much my mom with her lease and always does when she needs anything!

Exceptional is the one word i can think of when my husband and I were apartment shopping this Saturday. We had been to several communities through out the week and as frustrating it can be to apartment shop. Some of staff that we have crossed during are adventure to several communities have not been the most helpful until we came across the leasing agent from Country Wood apartments, her name was Michelle Jorge. Michelle professionalism was outstanding and we were so impress with her follow up (Im big on this). I would recommend any one that is apartment shopping to stop by Country Wood apartments and see Michelle she is kind, caring and will try her best to meet your needs. Thank you Michelle for being Empathetic and loving what you do. Im sad that my husband and I werent able to move to Country Wood as we decided to stay in our home but do appreciate the experience we had with Ms. Michelle we will definetly recommend her to all of our friends and family that are seeking apartments. Michelle you rock!

Hello my name is Joshua I lived here for a while nothing bad to say very very quiet and safe place to live plenty of grass to let the kids play or dog rather the staff up front are very very helpful and are sweet as they look also very nice and beautiful group of ladies I mite add what ever is needed will get done if you ask the staff to fix a problem in a timely manner five stars to COUNTRY WOOD APARTMENTS keep up with the great work you guys to and thanks for comfortable stay while I was there

I just want to say thank you to Michelle Jorge! She is professional, efficient, friendly and patient. I want to thank her for helping me with the application process. I'm excited that I have been approved and will be moving in soon!

Too bad negative infinity isn’t a choice. I’ve been without properly running AC since December. I’ve been buying air filters three times a month thinking that’s what the issue is. No. The issue is the horrible maintenance who doesn’t know what they’re doing. Or maybe it’s the leasing assistant property manager, Miriam Davis who stated to me, “it’s not in the budget to fix a big piece to the AC. ” My AC is broken. Again. Forget about getting a call back on the maintenance emergency line. Guess what! It’s a holiday weekend. Guess I’ll just roast in here for 3 days like the sauna it is. The office doesn’t care. I’ve asked to move units. They just come and “fix” the AC enough to where it works for 5 minutes then breaks again. Again, since DECEMBER, I’ve been dealing with maintenance request submissions. Forget about doing laundry here too. There’s only 2 functioning washers. The rest don’t even have doors on them. The others leave your clothes soaked. Put a request in in April 5 months ago. No response. Imagine doing laundry on a Sunday. You have people parked outside so nobody takes their turn for the washer. This place is a joke. Please rent somewhere else. There’s a reason it’s cheap in relation to the location. It’s a joke.

This is a great apartment. Deserves higher rating.nice apartment in a very safe, clean and quiet community friendly staff Cindy is awesome. 4 stars because there was recent rent increase of 35% in one year I don't think that is fair.

I lived at countrywood for 20 years. The staff especially Miriam and Cindy are very nice. The maintenance Luis, Ryan, JJ and Carlos are very nice and helpful.

Good proximity to schools, grocery stores, bus stations

Expensive + staff won't schedule a time window for maintenance service

Staff people aren't much polite now but Maintenance guys are nice.

If I could give this complex a -100 stars I would. I’ve never lived somewhere so awful. The leasing agents, especially Cindy, is very rude and always an attitude.
There’s trash everywhere. Me and many tenants in my building moved out because they found Rats in the laundry room and didn’t tell us or take care of it. The rats proceeded to move from apartment to apartment because there were large gaps in the walls since they neve caulked/ sealed it up. In my apartment alone we found 9 rats. This place was a living nightmare.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I really don't understand why the complex is rated so low. The complex is well taken care of and the staff answers any questions I have it's an extremely quiet and safe complex in a beautiful area with easy access to everything. I've only needed maintenance four times and they responded to me the same day and fixed it promptly. I have randomly seen a bug or two in my studio since I been here but no major problem. My neighbors are all friendly I have never had a package taken off my porch. I've been living here since March of 2018 and will be moving out March 2022 because of rent increase I refuse to pay more money for less space, overall it's been great and it's time for me to say goodbye!

Unless you are desperate, this place is not recommended. These apartments have inferior appliances from 20 years ago. The smell of mildew constantly seeps from the A/C vents, and the neighbors all smell it too. Most importantly, BEWARE of the water/sewer fee scam here. Not living in the apartment the last 5 weeks and the final water/sewer bill was over $50. I will say that the ladies in the front office were always kind and professional, but simply employees of this corrupt business.

Absolutely horrible, the place is falling apart and instead of fixing anything ever they just slap a band aide on it. My 1 toilet barely flushed and the other one randomly overflowed in the middle of the night or when no one was home. Office refused to clean the floors after each incident and left me with a smelly apartment for the entire year I lived there. I moved out in November 2021 BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE
