Courtyard by Marriott Orlando South/Grande Lakes Area

Recently stayed at this courtyard for 3 nights and I would not recommend.

- $5 a night for parking? ! You own the lot - it’s not a resort there’s no valet. Just an average hotel. Charging for parking is absurd.

- The front doors lock after 11pm and you need a keycard. Totally get this is for safety. Another person in our party arrived to check in after 11pm. He was locked out standing outside the hotel. No one was at the front desk because the employees were DRINKING. He had to call the hotel to get them to get up to come let him in.

- Rooms are not clean. The bathroom floor looked like it had never been washed. The towels are as thick as tissue paper. We had no shampoo in our room only 2 body washes. The air conditioner IS SO LOUD.

- The breakfast is ridiculous over priced. $14 for the most mediocre breakfast sandwich you’ll ever have. Someone else in our group waited over 45 minutes for avocado toast. Sat at the bar one night waited for 15 minutes no one was behind the bar. I finally asked the front desk if it was open and she replied oh she’s in the back she’ll be right out.

Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The room was nice clean, wifi and close to Universal, only downside was it didn't have a safe to put our valuables while we left.but other than that it was an all round good experience.

Great property if you're attending a conference in the Orlando area. Clean, spacious room with comfortable amenities. I had a room on the ground floor near the front desk. It was convenient but there was some noise. Other than that, it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of conference sessions and "people-ing".

Door slammed all night and I didn't sleep at all rooms 111 and 109 I need compensation

I have stayed twice while doing biz in Orlando. EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT, with nothing to complain about. I wish all hotels were this cool, but I do believe, this has got its location working for it, more business people, that still party.but go too bed cuz we gotta work tomorrow!

Getting to the hotel was easy. The front desk was polite. Rooms were very clean and well stocked with necessities.

We had a great stay! The food and bar were good, pricey, but did the job. No super long waits, the room was cleaned every day, fresh towels daily, right off the highway, no complaints here.

For the time that I had checked in, the lady at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. Upon getting to our room, the thermostat was turned off. The thermostat read 80 degree so it was hot in the room. After turning the thermostat on and all the way down it took 2 to 3 hours for the room to cool down, it never reached the set temperature at all even after being on all night. They also have an energy saving mini refrigerator that does NOT stay on, so after you put your cold items in the frig you press the "Quick Cold" button that only runs for 2 hours. REALLY! Needless to say. NOTHING was cold the next morning, so we had to throw our food away. Also, the hospitality of the floor staff was none existent. I said "Hello, Good morning! " and what was the response.absolutely nothing! After complaining about the issues, we were only given 5,000 bonvoy points for the inconvenience.wow! Unbelievable! I WILL NOT be staying at this Courtyard ever again.

This Courtyard by Marriott is about two miles from Seaworld but not close walking distance to much else. Hotel was very clean. The glasses in room and the glasses in the bathroom were vacuum sealed in plastic and so the remote control. There's a bistro and a little shopping area with snacks, drinks, toiletries and even some alcohol. Guest services and the housekeepers were extremely nice. Parking is $5 a day and they don't offer an airport shuttle service. Twice I informed the front desk that there was a slow leak in the sink. Either they didn't fix it or they slightly fixed it because it was there my entire stay; however, On the first day, I informed the front desk that the faucet was loose and it was fixed by the time I returned to my room. I recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Super recommended, very good location, beautiful spaces, very good attention. The room is super clean, very nice and very pleasant. What I saw in the photos on the site was really what I found, plus a very friendly and attentive staff to resolve any concerns.

This place needs serious help. The design of the room was by amateur's. An outside flood light shines purposely directly in the window. Eggs for breakfast are like $15. Quality of workmanship in room is completely suspect.

Best hotel for the money anywhere in the area. We like this place. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Very clean hotel… Rooms are nice and updated. The only negative thing I can say is that our shower didn’t have a door which I thought was weird… And the tv didn’t face the bed (unless you could move it but I didn’t check) But other than that wonderful hotel… Easy check in

I was there for teacher convention. The main place was at the JW and Ritz Carlton. Thise were booked. I stayed at this hotel which wasn't far from where I needed to be.
The rooms were a nice size and the beds are comfortable.
The breakfast was great! Customer service was good as well.
The hotel is a short car ride to the main attractions/areas.

It is very convenient if you're traveling to Universal. It's about a 10-minute drive. Close to a McDonald's, chick Fila A, gas station, and dominos. 8 minute drive to the outlet mall near Nike & Tommy Hilfiger. There's a pool we did not utilize because I don't do animals quite a bit of lizards as to be expected in FL. But not for me, lol. Nice patio to hang out. There's a tiny Starbucks and very tiny convenience store within the lobby area. Fridge and microwaves in the rooms. The on-site food and beverages were expensive, so we drove to Walmart, which is 8 minutes away, and stocked up on what we needed. Hotel staff is just okay. Nothing to write home about. Not too many interactions with them.some greet when you walk through the lobby, some don't. I'm not saying the staff was rude. Think that's just how Orlando pple are. Parking is a little scarve on the weekends at night. But it's not too bad. The beds were very soft. The room was clean and up to par. There were 4 of us. Wish they would leave 4 towel sets. Could never catch the Hskpr to ask and didn't want to call & bother them. My husband asked one lady who came by while I was out. He said she didn't speak English and he doesn't think she understood when he asked for extra things because she didn't do it. Overall, the hotel rooms and halls are quiet and relaxing. Had a small upscale feel to it. Wish the rooms weren't adjoining to others. I'm not sure if that's an option. But it wasn't a problem either. The general area felt very safe. Overall, I enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again if we return to Orlando, Universal Studios!

My employer made a last-minute reservation to help me deal with a less than stellar situation with a different venue. The person checking me in at the front desk was personable and knowledgeable, and handled my check in quickly and efficiently, even with a slight glitch in checking in due to the nature of the travel, they handled everything with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed.

The hotel was clean and in a decently safe area, very close to several major thoroughfares for traveling in and around Orlando and to other parts of the state of Florida. As you would expect with anything associated with Marriott, the room was large and comfortable, clean, and everything was in good repair. I stay on Marriott properties frequently for work, and this was yet another positive mark for the brand.

I would rate this hotel a zero stars if given the option. There are roaches all over this hotel, they decided to pay me an unwelcome visit in the bathroom! When confronting the front desk, they took it so nonchalant like they been dealing with this issue. Absolute the worse hotel visit I’ve experienced at a courtyard Marriott because I’ve stayed in many but this right here was down right wrong.

Large rooms with large bathrooms. Comfortable beds and dark rooms, great for kids sleep.

Unfortunately floor is carpeted which makes it less cleaned than hoped. It's also true, as per previous reviews, that the walls are paper thin, although we only heard once people in the hallway.

Lots of tables and chairs at the back which was great to eat outdoors.

Large free parking.

Booked a 2 night stay through expedia. Had to return home a day early, and neither the Marriot nor Expedia would cancel the 2nd night even though we notified them at 8 am the day we needed to leave. We will NEVER use either one ever again.

I was amazed by how friendly & attentive the staff was! Everyone was very kind and treated Us with respect. Wilma was a sweetheart! She made sure we found everything ok! Her attitude and behavior Is what every hotel should take note of! Super respectful and positive! Will definitely recommend my family, friends, and others To stay here! I appreciate all the staff overall as well they made sure our experience was a good one! Thank you all!
