After one year of our backyard paradise, Ric and Derek created our dream come true, we remembered when everything started and Ric told us i will take care and make it real! And that exactly what happened! We are so extremely thankful to Ric, Derek and the crews.

After months of interviewing different builders, Ric and Derek got my business. Ric is a no bull, old school, straightforward man. The entire team who he has put together had nothing but good things to say about him and his business ethic. That’s a lot to say in the world we are living in. The timeline was kept, even with all the material and labor issues caused by COVID.
Would recommend them to any friend, family and client.

Anyone will tell you, getting a pool built can be a challenging process. Trying this during a pandemic can be downright mind numbing. After researching a few companies, we found Ric from Creative Backyards. From the start it was a great experience and still 2 years after completion it continues to be. From design to construction and finishes, Ric and his team were there to answer questions and concerns and on time with every step of the building process. All I had to do was write the checks. Ric was also very helpful with handling warranty issues and my pool vacuum, where he had it replaced at no cost. That's great customer service. Need a pool? Call Ric at Creative Backyards!

Owner Rick and his son Derrick are incredible folks. Five Star Service and 5 Star pool construction. My pool was finished in March 2020. During the construction phase during the pandemic it is always very hard to get material and labor. Yet Rick went the extra mile to coordinate his sub contractors and material to minimize downtime. His subcontractors are professional, reliable, excellent workmanship and always on time. You know many pool companies front load the contract payment schedule. Well these folks only charged 5% for the deposit and were very fair with their payment schedules. They delivered our little piece of paradaise as contracted and within the timeframes they stated. Rick and Derrick are great people. They are very professional and a serious pool contractor. They did a wonderful job with our swimming pool 5 years ago. Our backyard is a tropical oasis now. Our pool equipment is of great quality, It's been 5 years since our pool was built and we haven't had any issues. I'm a happy customer.

Ric and Derick are awesome contractors to work with. I highly recommend them. Never have to call them for any problem. They were always on top of every single detail. Their customer service and staff are the best ever. I will call them again in any future project.

Our Backyard Paradise

Our experience with Ric and Dereck was wonderful, every crew that came to our backyard was hard working, knowledgeable and friendly. We received design photos of what Our Backyard Paradise would look like and they brought the photos to real life. Ric play no games; he is the best in this industry. We would highly recommend Creative Backyard. Even though with this hardship time, lack of materials, lack of workforce, county permit process… they promised quality through and through, and they delivered. Having our beautiful pool in our backyard to create wonderful memories with family and friends is priceless…!

Ric and Derick are a dynamic duo. They came recommended from a former co-worker. Although I still interviewed other contractors I ultimately selected Creative Backyards. Nothing beats a word of mouth recommendation from a trusted source. From the beginning Ric actually listened to me and why I wanted a pool and the design I was looking for - Kudos to all the women in their lives past and present ;) The final result is just simply amazing. I’m a new pool owner (never had one before) so it’s just surreal to have a pool in my backyard. Ric and Derick were there each step of the way. They were timely, professional and responsive. They notified when contractors would be at the home, what they would be doing etc. Any questions were just a phone call or text away. I know others who have had pools installed and ours was seamless comparatively speaking. The one issue I am having has to do with the light system disconnecting from The WiFi. For some reason my WiFi drops around that corner of the house (even with an extender) so instead of being able to enjoy the various light shows I’ve had to opt for a single color and set the schedule - which seems to be working okay I guess. Not sure if all systems have to have the WiFi option or not - but something you should be aware of. The lights still come on as scheduled, I just can’t adjust once it is dropped from the WiFi. All in all I would definitely recommend Creative Backyards! They are good people.

We had Rick and his team remodel and renovate our pool at great expense. Our first meeting was great. He exuded confidence, professionalism and we liked his design but once we signed the contract, things went down hill. In less than three years, cracks developed in the pool. I called Rick asking him to come and just look at the pool to advise me. I asked for nothing more. He hemmed and hawed, made excuses, tried to blame our pool service and didn't take any ownership of his expensive work. He refused to come and even look at the pool. Buyer be ware. DO NOT USE HIM or HIS COMPANY! There are plenty other good contractors you should hire.

If you are interested in getting quality work for your home investment dollars and seek to work with a reliable and honest company, we highly recommend you take the responsible approach and hire a dedicated and ethical company such as Creative Backyards. They have NO hidden agendas, provided realistic pricing, stay on schedule and the construction process went as smooth as possible. They did an amazing job in properly cleaning up after each work day and provided excellent craftsmanship. The owners are perfectionist and take pride in their work. It brought peace of mind to see the owners on site supervising the work during the entire process. After the pool was finished, they took the time to properly explain the functions of the equipment and how to care for our new pool. It was a pleasurable experience to work with them and we are so happy to have made the conservative decision to work with Creative Backyards!

Amazing work and so professional! Ric, Derek and his team did an excellent job! Even with a pandemic going on they still managed to get stuff done. 100% they are the best!

We had been planning our backyard renovation for over a year. A big part of this remodel included a new pool and patio. We met with 6 pool contractors before we went with Ric’s company. Though I have to say we were just going through the motions because we knew the moment we sat with Ric and he drafted a design that he was our guy. He encompassed every one of my design requests into making our dream backyard. I worked closely with both him and his son throughout the project and they were only a text or phone call away. They were always responsive and informative, they know their stuff. The price was the price, never any up selling (though we did upgrade at our own request on a few items such as the patio pavers). We have since had a few other contractors here for other projects and we have been told on many occasions that the best equipment was used and that the pool and patio were some of the best work they had seen and I have to agree! They did such an amazing job and would not hesitate for a moment in recommending them to my friends and family.

We had our pool constructed by Creative Backyards and it was everything I dreamt of and more. Rick and Derrick really understood what I was looking for. Rick was very clear on his approach and delivered on every promise. He gave no false expectations and always made sure I was aware of every step along the way. Rick made sure I never felt he was just billing us. He showed progress at every milestone and ensured the quality of the work was always there. Derrick led all things technical and the day to day calls from us. He was always attentive to our needs and made sure we always understood the work that was going on. I couldn’t be happier with my pool and spa. And yes.they do answer the phone after they’ve completed the job. Keep up the great work guys. Looking forward to my next property to construct my next dream pool.

Our pool renovation was completed last year just in time for Thanksgiving as promised. Ric and Derrick came very well recommended and did not disappoint! It was an large renovation of an old pool which needed an extensive amount of work. They performed the work in a timely manner with expertise and professional guidance throughout the entire process. As an Architect familiar with the local construction industry, I will tell you that if you want a cheap job, they are not for you. However if you are looking for "headache free" quality work done at a fair price and delivered when promised, I highly recommend them.

This is a Long Term Review of Creative Backyards Inc.

In May of 2018 we decided to have a pool put in, this was given great consideration due to the cost. Miami has a lot of Pool Contractors so we started our search as many do by researching on line, once we narrowed the search 4 Contractors were called. 1 contractor did not even show, 2nd gave me a ball park price over the phone without seeing my property, 3rd gave me a very low price and a great presentation, 4th was Creative Backyards he was Priced $5000 over the low Bid. (In life you get what you pay for)

We decided to go with Rick (Creative Backyards)

Professionalism - Rick and his Staff answered all of our Questions and Concerns and guided us thorough the process.

Payment Schedule - This was clearly discussed, as the work progressed payments were made, and very Important to note. The Time Line was kept. Weather Permitting.

Pool Construction - The individual Trades were all True Craftsmen, each one had a Task, and all were performed with Quality.

Equipment - All were installed as indicated in the signed Contract and great detail was taken with the Installation (Nice and Neat)

Flooring- Rick suggested Travertine flooring the look and feeling is amazing (never gets Hot)

Warranty- This is where a True Pool Contractor Stands Out.i had 2 issues My Chlorine Cell and Pump that went out.

I called Rick 2 years Later and he promptly issued a service Ticket and Both were replaced, please note (I was still within warranty) but just the fact he was there and took care of it promptly after 2 years speaks Volumes.

I would highly Recommend Creative Backyards they are true Tradesmen, Honest and on Time.

In life you get what you pay for and a good Pool Contractor is hard to find.
