IF anyone has the need for medical supplies or medical care, OPTION CARE IS #1. They provide EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE and will go that "extra mile " if needed.

I have been dealing with Optioncare for a about 7-8 months.
They are both extremely helpful & on top of everything regarding my infusion therapy. Wonderful, friendly employees.

Poor customer service. They told me when I tried to refill my son's prescription that they had been trying to call me a lot over the past couple months. I have no calls from them or voicemails. So, they discharged my son. My son's doctor's office sent them a new script, which they requested, the office sent it to them almost two weeks ago. When we never received his refill, and are now out, I contacted the doctor's office to see if they sent the prescription, which they confirmed. So, the doctor's office called Crescent Healthcare and they said they didn't know why it wasn't filled and would get it going right away. Later in the day, they called his doctor back and said they couldn't fill his prescription because they aren't taking any new patients.

Here are my issues with them:
1. They said they called, but I never received a voicemail to call them back. I work during the day and am not always available to take phone calls. So, the courteous thing to do would have been to leave a voicemail to have us call back.
2. They discharged my son from their files since they couldn't reach me by phone, instead of sending a letter or email or leaving a voicemail.
3. When I called to get a refill, they told me the above and then told me all they needed was a new prescription and notes from his doctor, which the doctor's office provided within 24 hours.
4. After receiving the prescription and notes, they did nothing.
5. When the doctor's office called them to see why it wasn't filled, they apologized and said they'd get it done immediately.
6. Now they decided after two weeks that they won't fill it, because they are considering him as a new patient and aren't taking any new patients. If they had told me this two weeks ago, I could have found another provider willing to do their job and we would not have run out.
I'd also like to add that the person I spoke to on the initial call was very rude to me, aside from lying to me. And when I asked her if she could contact his doctor for the new prescription, she made it sound like that was not something they do. What pharmacy does not willingly contact the doctor to get a refill. I figured it would be better if the request came from them so the doctor knew exactly what they needed to send instead of having me as the go between. Eventually, she agreed. But now we have nothing.

Find a company that is willing to help patients instead of making them think they will help them to just decline after two weeks.

The worst experience. The nurse has arm swollen and bruised when taken blood. We told the nurse it hurt, but she didn't listen. Arm is bruised and blood went on hand. Worse experience. I did call to talk to someone and didn't get a call back.

Option care in Gainesville has been horrible to deal with. I recently had an insurance change and they refuse to book me due to an accounting error on their own behalf. I was on a free drug program through the manufacturer of the drug and they are trying to tell me I owe a $17,000 balance and will refuse to book me until it’s taken care of. I even spoke with the manufacturer and I was assured that I was on the free drug program for the months they are trying to bill me. This location has been going downhill for the last 2 years with the ever changing flow of employees coming and going. It’s a shame these people mess with people’s health because of an internal error. They lost me as a patient forever.
