Cru Cellars - Palma Ceia, Tampa FL

I LOVE their natural wine selection here, that, combined with their delicious menu is truly a dining treat.

Ashton was our server, and he created an amazing experience! I have 2 new favorite wines thanks to his guidance! Can't wait to go back!

Went for brunch and were extremely disappointed. Totally understaffed for 12 pm brunch on a Sunday. Understand the staffing issues restaurants have been experiencing since the start of Covid but we have not seen had such a sad experience anywhere else in these past few years. Sat down at noon on the dot and didnt get our drinks until close to 1 pm. Food came at around 1: 45. Every table was taken and Cru Cellars only had two servers for the entire place (including the friendly host who was trying his best but still taking it easy). The menu was promising but the food was underwhelming. One of the people in our party found not one, but two long hairs cooked into his food. The host did address the matter and attempted to remidiate it, but unfortunately it was too late. We won’t be back.

The fig and prosciutto flatbread was probably my favorite thing we ordered: great drizzle of balsamic reduction and just a few bites split among 4 of us.

The sauce on the salmon entrée is dynamite and the fall-apart tender duck confit with blackberry sauce and super crispy potatoes dauphin was a lesson in texture. Delish. Oh and the maple glazed brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly: lots of crunchy edges and no big barely cooked cabbage bites!

They also do a good job on the tuna tartare, with crunchy wonton chips and lots of flavor drizzles on the plate. And the peri peri cauliflower is a neat take on buffalo cauliflower with the side of cambozola cream as an elevated bleu cheese dip. I missed having more spice but the batter and cook on it was perfect. (I demolished them.)

We got a few flights and the wines we tried were ok but not mind blowing. I love that they rotate in new wines regularly and that you can also peruse/buy wines by the bottle to take home.

Our server was good, but we had some attitude from the hostess when we asked to turn the fans on the patio off. (As they were wheeling out the heaters?) In general, they did really well with a back to back sat section on a Friday night and the food came out fast and delicious!

I can’t say enough good things about Cru! The perfect small group girls night or date night spot. Cozy ambiance & great atmosphere after 6 pm.

Very disappointed. This was not my first time at the Palma Ceia location. I remember when this place used to be excellent. Not any more.
Went last night for a glass of wine and for something to eat… Bar area looked dirty, the service non existant. I felt I was no more than just a number sitting on a chair. Ordered a glass of wine but needed a few extra minutes to pick dinner. I then tried to get the bartenders attention to order dinner’. Got tired of waiting and being ignored. I was SO disappointed, I asked for my bill, paid it, didn’t even bother to drink the wine and left. I will not go back there. It seems to me, if you go there on your own, instead of with a group, you’re not ‘bankable’ or worth their time.

One of South Tampa's hidden gems. The food and atmosphere are both excellent. Perfect location for a date night, but can also be just enjoyable solo or with a few friends.

Finally got to try Cru and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go back and try more of the food items like the Duck Confit.

Excellent food and atmosphere but it was unbearably hot! It was like their AC wasn't working. We each got a wine flight and several different appetizers. The cheese curds and salmon appetizers were our favorites and the cauliflower was a close second. Will definitely be back but maybe in the winter when the AC won't be an issue.

Great wine selection and knowledgeable staff. Sometimes we have dinner here or have a glass of wine before heading to dinner.

We absolutely love going to Cru Cellars in Palma Ceia. The food, service and wine selection are all a cut above to make it our favorite restaurant in South Tampa!

Lovely wine list, beautiful space. Excellent for just grabbing a drink after work or a date night.

Went here for brunch. The food was incredible. The management/ownership was also incredible. There was an unexpected rush of people and lack of servers the day we went (was the day of a Bucs game) and they did absolutely everything to make it up to us for the longer wait times. Not an ideal situation but good food and good people who care about your business is what makes a business and good one. Will absolutely be back! And would absolutely recommend!

We went the evening of Saturday, August 2nd with a party of 20 to celebrate a birthday. Cru’s service and staff were pleasant, helpful, and extremely accommodating. The wine was delicious, there was a good variety. They also had craft beer and unlimited soft drinks for those who didn’t drink. The food was hot, delicious, and the presentation was spot on. My favorite part was the music. It was such a great vibe. Our whole group was impressed. I highly recommend this venue! We will be returning!
