Cruise Terminal B - Norwegian Cruise Line, Miami FL

Too crowded. I don't like people just standing around in crowds. There doesn't seem to be enough space for those leaving and boarding the ship. When you get inside its fine. Maybe work on the timing in between?

Very uncomfortable chairs to wait for boarding. Sat for 3 hours, even with priority status. Not clear about when boarding would begin. Boarding was a mess, with people in later groups crowding and blocking priority groups. People in wheelchairs had to fight to get to gate. Agent had no public address system to direct people. No communication to go to muster station onboard to check in. Lots of disorganization.

If this is your first cruise, get ready to get partially lost in the process. But once you have done it at least once, it should be easier the next time around. No clear direction on where you need to go to drop off your large bag. Once you figure out how and where to leave your large bag, making your way into the terminal is relatively straightforward. Be prepared to wait for extended periods of time to have your documents reviewed.

Once checked, you will move up the escalators to the check in desks. You may have to wait even longer to get checked in if you don't have a priority lane you can use such as Casino at Sea, etc. After that and once you have your boarding card, you get to wait even longer but once boarding has started, it's straight forward after that.

This was my first time cruising with Norwegian and we had a great time. I was a little nervous post COVID but we had a great experience. We were celebrating a wedding in the Bahamas and we had over 60 people that we knew on the ship. We were cruising through a tropical storm so the weather was less than ideal. But all of the onboard entertainment was fun and the ship accommodated us will. Even with the poor weather. The drink package was perfect and our food was delicious. I would be happy to cruise again with Norwegian.

The terminal itself is quite luxurious and once you get on the cruise boat itself it’s a really nice view of the beach and the Miami skyline. Having that said, it loses a star because in getting here Norwegian cruise line gave us a bad address and after we Ubered to a different terminal we had to walk here.

So far so good. Only hic-up was requirement for COViD Test not on Costco website, however, there is a testing facility right there so pretty quick. Crew is lively and helpful.

Review of restaurants. Le Bistró was awesome. The palace has great appetizers but the main plates could be a hit and miss. For breakfast i recommend you for o the Buffett at the great outdoors - great view of the ocean and good selection. Gets kinda hot during the day. Evening is ok.

Shows - great shoes the comedian John Stinger was great. Cruise Director was very entertaining.

NCL island in Bahamas — the island was very good, but they close it at 4pm when the last Tender is leaves a 5pm — and the staff told us we had to go since last tender was at 430 (when in all go shows 5pm). Don’t get why they need to close so early. Also We made our way at 445 as there was nothing to do — the Tender did not leave until 530…

All in all, it was a very enjoyable trip. I do have to say my Royal Caribbean was better.

The new NCL terminal is beautiful and for embarkation well-organized. I’ve sailed out of Miami twice now since cruising started back up. Directing taxi/Uber drivers to the area for dropoff is a bit confusing at first, but once you drop off luggage and get to the check-in process everything is very smooth.

Pass the Norwegian parking area then drive back down to enter the parking deck. Walk to the Northeast end of the parking deck to catch the elevator down. Exit the elevator and check your bags. The views of the Miami skyline are beautiful from the ship at Port of Miami.

Took over 3 hours to get through lines at terminal, even though we filled out sheet for certain time arrivals that they requested.

The new process to board the cruise for covid testing is horrible. However, understandable.it was hot and there was really no coordinations of which line to get.
CVS is making a lot of money handling ALL the COVID testing.

On board the ship was great. 5 stars. Staff was awesome.
1 star for the process of getting on board. It had me close to asking for my money back. There seemed to be flaws in the technology. I completed all the steps recommended in the mobile app. The customer service number told me that I only completed 2 of 7 steps. When I got to the end of the line, I found someone who was able to confirm I had completed the 6th step. Another step, they asked for a photo to speed the onboarding. Well that was in their system as well. Right there, 3 steps confirmed. If I would have printed and taken paper, I could have saved a 3 1/2 hour wait in line.

NCL is a very big disappointment! Worst Cruise Experience I've ever had. I will not be booking anymore Cruises with NCL!

If I could give a minus I would. We were supposed to get off the ship at 9. Didn't get off till 10. Stood in line till 11: 30 to get on a bus to take us to the airport. We will have less than 2 hours after we get to the Miami Airport to catch our flight, 2 days before Christmas. The airport will be a mad house! You (NCL) should expect a letter from at least 4 people (if not more). Very disappointed. Very unorganized. You should have had more busses.

Great come back! We enjoyed the activities and the ship. Whole process was not bad at all, as we were expecting the new process. The protocols in place were not exaggerated or intrusive and certainly did not affect out enjoyment. All thanks to NCL for such rigorous adherence to standards and always looking for our health and safety from the beginning to the end of the trip.
Onboard experience was outstanding. The cruise staff were, like always, truly amazing people that went out of their way to make our cruise a one of the best experience. Thank you NCL for setting the standars on looking for the best for your guests
