Crunch Fitness - Fort Myers

When you open the shower doors in the women’s restroom you get greeted with a pungent smell of straight up funk! (and no it’s not my body Oder) The changing room curtains are very dirty like you DO NOT want them touching you and so is the shower curtain in the big stall…they’re literally yellow… there’s no soap on the soap dispensers.nothing is changed or restocked over the course of two hours I seen nobody cleaning up the trash cans were full of sweaty paper towels and the water fountains are broken.over all the place is a mess.

Last management wasn’t good but was better than the NPCs running it now.
If you are feeble and aren’t looking to make gains, I would recommend this location. If you are intimidated by planet fitness, this place is for you.

The Federal Trade Commission says it receives thousands of complaints every year from crunch fitness consumers who are being plagued with recurring charges that they either weren't able to cancel or didn't know they were signing up for in the first place. There is a new law being proposed to require an online cancellation process, not just for Crunch yet all gym memberships. Because of Crunch Fitness deceitful business tactics, all consumers will now have a means to gracefully end their memberships with any organization requiring an online registration process to become a member. Thank you for making this happen, without the complaints from Crunch Fitness customers this bill would have never passed the house.

I highly recommend Kiru as a personal trainer. He encourages me to do my best and has helped me to strive toward my goals. He’s so knowledgeable about all the muscles in your body and the right exercises and weights to use. He always has a smile and is so friendly and genuine to be with. This location has the most worn-down equipment out of the two in town, even when they recently added deadlifting platforms they look old and extremely used, this location also doesn't have a sauna like other locations and customer service is usually under par. It sucks that they think $25/mo is worth it when competitors like amped charge $10/mo for 24hr access with new modernized establishments.

I canceled my membership in person in the beginning of January. I was told by the manager it was taken care of I would not be charged again blah blah blah. About 3 weeks later I was charged again. I called crunch only to find out the membership had not been canceled yet But it would be taken care of and I would see a refund in my account in 5 to 7 business days. Well that never happened. About six more phone calls later still nothing has been done. Do better. 2/5/2023. Membership still not canceled. 2/08/2023. Membership still not canceled no email received.

I have paid over $400.to cancel a one year agreement for $250, and still have to pay the bank to block their access to my checking and visa accounts, as the club refuses to cancel the account.

If I could give no stars I would. I signed up for a 1 year contract. I completed the 1 year contract. I went in and canceled the membership after the contract was completed. 2 months later I'm still being billed and was told I owe annual dues. How can I owe dues on something I didn't renew? Don't waste your money here. The gym is always dirty, the equipment is almost always in disrepair. Front desk staff is clueless. There's better gyms out there. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know.

I finally decided to work on my health in November of 2022 and so I joined Crunch. I don’t like gyms but I didn’t have a choice. I was tired of feeling unhealthy and fat. Best decision ever for 2 reasons my trainer Kiru and my Zumba instructor Laurelle Marie! They are both amazing at what they do.

Kiru knows exactly how to train me in order to work on the areas that I need the most help. He is very good, and I’m seeing results!:)

Laurelle is so much fun to follow during Zumba, and it’s an amazing workout. I love her sass!

I was excited to join this gym at first. However, I prefer weights to cardio machines. There were too many occasions where a group of men would hog all of the squat racks and the free weight area. If they were to walk away and you try to use it, then puff up their chest and try and intimidate you off the machine saying they still need it because they are super setting. To the point where I often left before I could finish my workout. I made a few attempts to cancel my membership and finally they replied saying they will cancel but insist on charging me for the month. Especially when their records can clearly see it’s been so long since I’ve used their facility. I feel they’ve gotten enough free months out of me. Maybe they are hurting and need my extra $10? Poor customer service. Especially since their own employee I spoke to yesterday agreed that the men there have gotten out of control.

I have had a personal trainer at Crunch Fort Myers for almost a year now. Kiru is fantastic! He works me hard but always encourages me by saying things like “you can do it. ” Kiru listens to what I say about my physical limitations and easily adapts the workout to fit my needs. He’s by far the best, most caring trainer I’ve ever had!

I have never been to a Crunch location before, and while in Fort Myers, the staff made my experience seamless. The facility is clean and organized, and has all the equipment to get in cardio, HIIT, and heavy weight exercises. Will definitely be returning!

While I’m traveling it’s important to find a quality gym to maintain my lifestyle while away from home. Crunch fitness has all the equipment you would need to get in a great workout. The locker rooms are clean, as well as all the equipment and the floor. The staff is very nice and professional. As someone who is in the gym a lot and travels a lot, I would highly recommend Crunch fitness. I look forward to coming back!

I used to workout here but was also a trainer here for 6 months. The gym is clean, but a lot of equipment is broken or not working the way that it should. The general manager Joe is a nice guy, but pretty useless if you need something to be taken care of. From my experience, the owner Brian seems very much focused on the money going in his pockets rather than the trainers income OR the client experience. I had multiple clients who had no issues with me and their sessions, but had issues with their memberships and issues talking with management. The price point is competitive with other gyms, but the quality of service is lacking in many ways. If you’re interested in joining a gym, there are a lot of options in town that will be much more worth your investment.

I joined this gym to take back my health and start caring about me. I began with a trainer as I knew they would keep me accountable. My first trainer was good, but she left and I was placed with Kiru. Kiru has outdone my first trainer by far! He tested my strength and endurance, weight and body fat, and developed a personalized program specifically for my needs and goals. He challenges me every week and is so knowledgeable about fitness. I've lost 20 pounds so far working with him in 2-3 months and I would highly recommend Kiru 100% to help you reach your health and fitness goals!

I switched from Planet Fitness to Crunch and I love it here! Such a friendly and encouraging environment. Ricky is the absolute best! He is there every morning and greets me and other members with encouragement for making it to the gym - and encourages us to eat a healthy breakfast first!

Gym is clean and well maintained for the most part. Beware of the free personal training session. They use the free pt session as a hook to get you to pay $85/hr for personal training even if you don't need/want it.
