Requiring people to show in person to cancel a membership in general is annoying but during a pandemic is unnecessarily dangerous.

They charged me the yearly fee even when I cancelled as soon as I could cause they were closed for like 3 months due to covid. They say I didn't give sufficient notice but how could I when they were closed. Not pretty honest company. Just beware. Gym and staff are ok.

This crunch is amazing. People here are amazing and gym is clean. Lindsay, the personal trainer has been training me and she is amazing. She is getting me where I want to be and pushing me to my best! Thank you Lindsay! Your the bomb. Com

LOVE what they have done with the gym lately! Coming back after some time off to see this new environment and most importantly one of the most helpful people Steven Rosario back in this location made my day! Keep up the progress crunch Carrollwood!

I have an issue with the personal training system and their lack of communication skills. Back in March when the gym shut down due to Corona virus, I was working with one of the trainers, Mahlique. When the gym opened back up, he notified me that he was moving and will no longer be my trainer and told me he cancelled my training contract and that I was good to go. Never did he notify my that I needed to physically go in and sign a cancelation form. I was then charged twice for sessions after that. I redeemed these sessions with another trainer and was told that without renewing a contract with Coco, my new trainer, my contract was cancelled and it was just a fluke. I was then charged twice more before finally speaking with Paul (the personal training manager) and ultimately suspending the contract. I was told I could extend the suspension at the end of the period (9/5) and was not told by him that I would be charged again when it was time to extend it. Now, another $350 ($540 when another charge is due to hit on the 5th) later I’m stuck with 12 more sessions and feel like I have been screwed by this gym and there’s nothing I can do about it. My initial trainer was incompetent regarding the gym policies, did not clarify these policies to me, and I was sucked back into it over and over again. Furthermore, when I called to verify that the paperwork was there for me to sign, one of the receptionists got nasty with me and told me she was a manager and refused to help me or give me her name. As much as I enjoyed having Coco as my new trainer and planned to go back to her at a later time, I can’t bring myself to go back to this location as I feel very taken advantage of.

Oh my gosh how much I love this gym! The people the energy everything is great! I had to get the highest membership since THEY HAVE TANNING AND A MASSAGE BED! I love it and I love the guys at the front!

Careful.
You tell them you want to cancel they suggest that you freeze the account instead.you freeze the account they don’t tell you it will be active after one month itself and you have to pay before they can cancel. Cheap lousy way of doing business

Not worth it if you are trying to cancel. Canceled back in December. Now I was billed last month and tried sticking me for other fees.

I switched from LA Fitness to Crunch Fitness about a year ago. I wanted a change of pace. Initially, I liked Crunch Fitness.

Some of the positives:
-The gym offers a wide selection of free weight equipment, which is what I prefer.
-Clean and well-maintained gym.
-Friendly and approachable staff members.
-Reasonable pricing.

However, over the past months, Crunch Fitness has become overcrowded during weekdays. Before the massive influx of new members, I could workout between 9pm-10pm and have access to equipment I need to finish my workout. That is no longer possible because of the number of new members to this location. A possible solution to overcrowding is to close the business later. I am going to cancel my membership and sign-up for YouFit this weekend.

When I first signed up and started going the staff were very friendly. That has since died down. The female staff are typically friendlier than the men. Most of the members never wipe down the equipment and Ive never seen the staff do it either.

Its affordable and there is some nice equipment however it gets extremely crowded and a lot of the time you have to wait to use certain machines or equipment (sometimes people will sit on the machines for a while).

It can be a little intimidating trying to use the free weights/mirrors because there are typically large groups of guys who hog the space.

You get what you pay for.

The gym is a scam, signed up on a promotion, 1st month 1$ and a 10$ gym prorated fee of the 39.99 you'll pay for a one time yearly gym fee. You have to stay with us 3 months and you could cancel after. What they don't tell you is that you cancel after you start your 91 day after putting a cancellation 15 days before my 90 days promotion ended. So I don't get billed the 4th month. Not wanting to keep on my promotion I cancelled, so now I'm being billed the 4th month, and a whole year of gym maintenance fee after completing my 3 months and cancellation notice agreeing not to continue after my 90 days, so you have to cancel after your 90 days which they fail to tell you so they could charge you a whole other money and yearly maintenance fee, just like one of their employees said, looks like a hidden fee, a hidden way to make extra money. I've been a member for 4 years off and on but this place has changed. But this is a scam, to get you in and keep billing you. I'm not using the gym, put my cancellation notice in and choose to not keep on the 3 month promotional, even the employee said they shouldn't of charged you then4th month if you cancelled, now I'm being sent to collection, happy new years. Watch what they sell you on, and what you sign that your not being told. Hidden fees

My first time ever at this gym! I delt with Juan, The staff is very friendly! Got my 1 year membership Woo-hoo! Then I walked around the place to check out the equipment! I have no idea why people are bashing this place? Clean environment, great equipment.
Then I'm reading that people are getting double charged or there accounts being frozen! People please, be patient and they will correct the problem stop bashing people for no reason.

Can't wait for my first day thanks Crunch.

I love this location! It has everything I need and more and the most down to earth staff. From the minute I visited I knew this was the gym I wanted to be apart of! If you're looking for a variety of targeted workout machines and free weight and racks this gym has a great selection. Plus, motivated club members and daily classes! !

This crunch sucks first off the employees are disrespectful and have very young minded men who only work there to make girls feel uncomfortable! So much for a judgment free environment! I recommend any gym except for this one! Plus the company is so desperate for you money and has a lot of hidden fees

My experience has not been good at all they took over $700 out of my account and I have still not received a refund of any kind and has been a full 10 days and no progress. And the manager acts as if it's not a big deal. Do not get auto pay for anything they charge what they want and refund it when they want to.

This place is a joke! I've been with this location for almost 5 years and I had my account frozen in Oct cause I knew I'd be out of town. I looked at my bank statement to only see that this place charged my account twice for a total amount of $126.40. When I explained the situation Sebastian told me there wasn't a hold. So basically these idiots don't know how to do their jobs clearly. IF ANYONE IS CONSIDERING THIS LOCATION. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE TROUBLE. THEY ARE THIEVES!

The attitude of the staff is remarkable in the sense of sarcasm. If my friend didnt have a membership and drags me in there with him, I wouldn't ever switch from LA Fitness when im in town. Maybe adjust your staff's mentality with customer service and then your "franchise" facility will be prominent above the rest of the gyms in the Carrollwood area.

They finally got dumbells from 80 to 100 pounds. Very limited equipment. Better than nothing I guess. Home of the cheapo's.

I opened up a membership 3 years back I never went and forgot about it a year in. I then I had to change my card because I lost it and they sent me to collection which is understandable. I paid it and told them I don't want a membership with them. 2 years later I get a call from crunch saying my account is in collections for a second time when I shouldn't even have a account. Asked to speak to a manger was left on hold for a hour.
