Cypresswood Golf and Country Club, Winter Haven FL

A nice golf course here in Winter Haven. I (personally) really enjoyed the pasture and cows hanging around on holes 1-5. My wife only golfed the front 9. The cart path IS in rough shape but the course is better than some friends said it was. We had lunch at the clubhouse, the black and blue burger was good and I love some pub chips and these were great.

Played Cypresswood G&CC today, 7/31/2023. It can only be described as a goat ranch. The rough is minimum 4-6" deep, resulting in balls being lost in the rough and excessive time being taken looking for balls. All of the greens have bare patches and are SLOW. The traps are a mixed bag, some good, some bad. Fairways often have weeds growing in them though overall they were mediocre.

Save your money and play somewhere else.

Lovely welcome yesterday. My nephew and I played and had a tremendous time. Plenty of interest on the course, we played off the reds as he's a developing golfer and this allowed us to have enough challenge without making the length punitive. Delightful staff in the pro shop and bar and amazing value! Greens are coming on and rough was not too punitive. Keep it in play! We will definitely be back and soon!

Great layout. Nice pro shop and Clubhouse. Greens left a lot to be desired. Very spotty! A couple are barely playable.

Once again they are failing! Sorry don't want another local course to fail but paid $47 to play a very sub par course today! Nothing positive to say!
Response: are you kidding me? Plenty of courses around the area with competitive fees if not cheaper and in MUCH BETTER condition!

I have played several courses in Florida. This has to be the worst of all. Greens, fairways and tee boxes all need repairs.

The course has a good layout but it's in need of a lot of maintenance, the fairways are patchy and dried out and the greens are stressed with dead spots throughout, to the point that you have to move your ball to put.

SCAM! Got a confirmation for a tee time that I never booked. When I called it was clearly a call center trying to get more info from me. REPORT

Cypress-weed more like it! The tee-boxes were sand boxes. For a golf coarse, Not a whole lot of greenery to be seen. The greens were bumpy and brown. For the money, I would not play here again.
