Dade County Federal Credit Union, Hialeah FL

No customer service at all here like before. Assistant manager Diana won’t even help people waiting. Walked into her office and she pointed for me to sign in at the front. She was looking down at her cell phone instead of helping customers waiting. No urgency or customer service!

This was my second time at this branch and I mean it's a bank.what is there to say really.

The branch itself is kind of small. Upon walking in, I noticed that on a regular they seem to have cookies and coffee to offer. I am assuming that it is primarily in the morning as when I got there it was late afternoon (close to closing) and there was nothing there. So go early morning or at least before noon!

The teller that was helping me, I could tell that he was new and still getting the hang of things. He was asking a lot of questions throughout the process and apparently didn't have his own money order code. He was verifying everything and questioning everything. Which isn't a problem; I greatly appreciated it but more seasoned workers do not do all of this. He even noticed a mistake on my account because of his thoroughness.

What kind of irked me a bit which was no fault to him but more so the bank as a whole. Somehow someone else's driver's license, a guy at that, was scanned into my account. I am still trying to process exactly how that happened. Even if you typed in the wrong account number, I would hope that you're paying enough attention to notice that the name is different. I would hope. That is a bit concerning. And again it's nothing against the teller that helped me, just the bank as a whole.

They are very friendly even if when they are in front of colored individuals. They also are very patient and are willing to work with you.

This was my first time going to this branch. I bypassed the other branches further north due to the negative reviews. Honestly, at this branch, they wowed me with their professionalism, courteousness and quick customer service. The line was long when I got there but they were moving people quickly, so I did not have to wait very long.

Why only 4 stars? Well, I got there before opening, and was able to see and hear people complaining about the atm out front not working at that moment. A big inconvenience, and waste of time, if you just want to do a simple transaction.

The customer service in general is excellent, and the representatives are very professional. The ATM in the outside strongly needs a major update. The system is very complicated and a very old fashioned system. One of my major concerns is that I have to put my deposit in an envelope and be left in a depository box.
Another concern that I do have is that the Credit Unions have a long distance from each other. And it's an inconvenience for me. Something has to change to make the whole process a lot more simpler and easier to understand for all customers.
