Dance and Circus Arts of Tampa Bay, Clearwater FL

Last night I took a stilts class. I was kindly met at the door. Teacher was direct sweet and thorough. I totally felt at home. I could see amazing silks and lyra artist practicing.
One thing I liked the most was it was a family atmosphere feeling I received. I invited a friend with me and she enjoyed it also.
Looking for fun something different. I would recommend it.

Dance and Circus Arts is so professional and so fun at the same time! We love it so much for our son and daughter. There are so many options of classes and they adhere to the health and safety of thier growing bodies. We love seeing all their hard work and progression at their performances.

So glad we found this place! Our daughter had lost interest in gymnastics so we were looking for something new and creative to for her to participate in and since the first day she has absolutely loved the silks and ballet and the entire staff!

Over priced, Very non professional, Focus is on trainers rather then students, would not recommend this place

As several others have noted, Beth should not be engaging with children. She is not a child friendly person. She's ravenously squeezing the joy out of an opportunity for children. There is never an excuse for name calling and having adult conversations without the parent present. Even when I was there i felt like the only adult in the room. Communication has been extremely poor about when the sessions will not be held. There was no notice of schedule changing and then even when the flyer came out, it was still wrong. Our child used this as a rare means of expression but was made so miserable by Beth, they no longer wish to attend. Children can be difficult, but we should expect that our children will be handled an lead with care, respect, and dignity.

I have changed my review from 5 stars to 1. They are totally unprofessional. They are having a show on 10/30 where they said it would be at 2pm or 4pm. They charged the parents for costumes and seats to the show. Told the kids they would trick or trunk between the shows. We signed up and my girls were very excited. They practiced for weeks using up lesson time that we paid for. The Monday before the show they decided to change the times of the shows to 2pm and 5pm and to also cancel the kids getting to trick or trunk.they didn’t tell anyone this in an email. Just sent out a new flyer with the times changed and posted on their door that there would be no trick or trunking for the kids. I contacted the director Beth and explained that this now created a major conflict for us with 1 kid in the 2pm show and the other at the now 5pm show. I asked her for her help and asked to have my daughter moved to the 2pm show or to go first or second at the 5 pm show so she could make it to the other commitment she had. We really jumped through a ton of hoops to be able to do the circus show in the first place and I explained all of this to her. She replied back and told me she was not willing to change the shows at all to help us. She did offer to refund me but now I have 2 very upset little girls who thought they would be in shows and now can’t because of the directors lack of planning and changing the times at the last minute. The director Beth is very rigid and doesn’t really care at all about the children that attend her studio. She is not willing to work with you in any way if u have a problem. We brought many families to the studio and multiple ones have also had problems with the director talking bad about parents to other parents behind their backs etc. They are not professional at all. We attended this studio for 6 years and in that time we have seen that there is a huge turnover. My daughter never made friends with anyone that wasn’t a friend she brought because kids didn’t last very long. Their dance classes are next to empty. The circus classes are full but only a very small handful of kids have been regulars even for a few months. Kids rotate through this studio quickly probably because of how unprofessional the director Beth is. I would stay clear of this studio and find another.
