Dandee Donut Factory., Pompano Beach FL

Very late review as this was back on July 16th. Not being a local of Pompano Beach, I had not heard of the Dandee Donut Factory. What I did know is that when I passed it on my way to my previously planned destination, it struck me that I would be coming right back to have my late 12: 30 pm breakfast. Sure enough, I did just that. The place resembles a diner from the past that usually gives you that all-too-familiar-feeling of belonging as soon as you walk in. It was pretty busy but not so busy as to overwhelm the patrons or the guests. It was a well-oiled machine. I was helped by a gentleman with glasses and grayish hair, who at first seemed to take things very seriously, but soon I could tell that it wasn't that. He loved what he did and was proud of it, and he was happy to be there on a Sunday. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast sandwich once he said that breakfast was served at all times. Then, of course, I ordered a half dozen donuts, and this was the moment when I saw the gentleman who was helping me light up, I asked for his recommendations and quickly we chose seven donuts, that's right i got seven donuts in a half dozen. Amazing, I was hooked, and I hadn't even tried the food yet. Everything was on point, breakfast sandwich hot and tasty, and each Donut had its own distinctive flavor and personality. My only problem with this place is how far from home it is.

Dandee donut is the best place to have breakfast! It has variety of donuts, bagels and so many options to order what you like! The people who work there are super nice and always willing to help you to make the right choice! Eda, Amalia, Mark and Jenny, the dream team, are the best! You definitely have to visit it! It is a must!

An unfortunate experience at a place that we had frequented for so long.we have always been treated with respect and always felt welcomed. We have been frequenting the Dundee establishments in coconut creek and pompano for 10 years and have never been treated with such disrespect and harassment.
As we arrived some of the group had already ordered, and others were settling in as we had done for nearly 10 years, when we were greeted with “this is not a Starbucks”. We told the owner we had already ordered and others were getting ready to order and he became disrespectful, telling us to leave, that we were not welcomed. When we argued back, stating we had done this for years and never had a problem he started yelling and belittling. At one point when we were speaking to each other in Spanish he condescendingly came to us and yelled “do you even understand what I’m saying? ”
I am disheartened and disappointed that the one time the owner was there we were treated with such disrespect and blatant discrimination in a place we had frequented so often.

Very bad attention from manager. I am one of the clients who was there on Wednesday night, September 13th. Let me comment that we are a group of friends who get together every Wednesday to eat and then have a coffee usually at the chain that you represent. Are.all over 50 years old, many professionals and businessmen who like motorcycles. We are not criminals or gang members. I arrived one of the last and I did not get to place my order since you were asking us to leave, without any justification. If you have footage of what happened, publish it and if you have something to report, do it to the Police, our names are in the reviews. I am sorry for what happened and I understand that someone there said something inappropriate for having us kicked out of the place without justification, I just think that you made a clear act of discrimination for being foreigners even though the group is almost mostly Americans. You are clearly not prepared to run a business when you discriminate against your customers.

I had a bad time in this place! The owner was very disrespectful, the place was very bad, not recommended for anyone.okay now you will have to show the video and you will have some legal complaints for racism and lack of respect for people who speak different languages! There are no problems, we are all professionals and not just any strays you thought you were dealing with.

I’ve been a customer for many years and this is an awesome little spot for breakfast lunch or just a donut. 24/7 service, I’ve been to every shift and I’ve never been disappointed. Thank you to all the awesome dandee staff for always being too notch

Best place at Pompano to have breakfast and lunch! The food is delicious, the staff is super kind, and the donuts are mouthwatering! Eda, Mark, Amalia, Julia and Jenny are the best. Do not lose the chance to visit the best donut shop in Florida!

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here for over 5 years. I grab a quick breakfast every morning before work. Donuts are always fresh.

Once a month I'll stop in and grab a Party Pack for my team at work.

Dandee Donut he’s the best place in South Florida. They have the best customer service. The best Donut and the best food. I just want to say to the people who are riding bad review to feel a shame of themselves. I was a customer last night, and I saw bikers treating and disrespecting the place the waiters, and the manager behind the counter. Treating bad the people they want to make a living is embarrassing.

I witnessed a disgusting act of discrimination from a person who introduced himself as the owner (old person in his 60s) towards a few latinos (speaking spanish)
Other customers reacted towards such a disgusting act of blatant discrimination and left the place as well.

Disgusting place, the bathroom dirty, and the hygiene in general is quite low.

Definitely, I'm not coming back.

This is definitely a legit review. I was standing at the register trying to pay for a bottle of water and the owner came out and asked me if I was part of the group. I affirmed that I was indeed. He then told me to tell them to leave. I politely told him that if he was asking me to leave then I will. However, if there was a issue with them to go talk to them directly. He said that I didn’t have to leave but he can’t have “them here”. He then walked around and started yelling to them “this is not starbucks and I don’t want you guys here, I’m the owner of this place”. He was very rude and disrespectful. Completely out of place. Without any kind provocation.

We are a group of friends, we are all professional educated people. We are all family people. We behave like such. We dress as such, and act like such.

After more than 25 years in the United States, I’ve never seen such and unprovoked act of discrimination. Some of us are in law enforcement. One of us is an Army veteran.

Perhaps the owner had an episode of dementia? I’m not sure where all that came from. But it was completely unnecessary.

Now my original review:

Terrible customer service. Extremely rude owner. Avoid this place. Dirty, unsanitary.

It’s our little spot to grab fresh cooked food, the soup rocks and the staff is fun and great. Thanks guys!

The other day I stopped at Dandee Donuts in Pompano Beach to have a coffee and some donuts.and the quality of the customer service was terrible.it gives you a lot to think about. I don't recommend this place.go somewhere else.
