D'Angelo's Subs & Salads, Venice FL

There's certain restaurants that you absolutely treasure, this is one of them. You almost have to know that this place exists and when you do.you'll be there 6 days a week ordering a sub for lunch. Ive tried so many things on the menu and i am stuck deciding which one is the best. Its too hard! The owner is the chef and is super passionate about making sure you have a great tasty and delightful sandwich. If i could give more than 5 stars i would. Some of my favorites are steak and cheese, pepper and egg, and tuna. I also would like to comment about how nice the staff is. They all are such nice people and go out of their way to make sure your order is complete and everything from the simple things like napkins are in your to go bag! Thank you so much for awesome lunches! Andd keep up the good work!

This place Rocks! The steak & cheese is amazing loaded with Mushrooms, Onion & Peppers. The loaded waffle fries are straight FIRE! LOADED WAFFFFFFFLE FRIES, if you know you know!

Tables are too big if you want to sit inside good luck the tables take up too much room play it always enjoyed the food there thank you

This is the best sandwich/ finger food in town for a cheap price.

Extremely rude front end. Went there for a pickup order and the old woman in the front handed me a bag and said nothing. Then when I ask if this is mine she tells me to get out of the wayward

Ok, closest thing to a real cheesesteak from Philly as I've found so far in my quest. Damn good sandwich! Might be #1 in Venice,
(the Santa Fe chicken soup was outstanding as well!)

The egg salad sandwich is delicious and enough for 2 meals. The service when dining in was quick and the server very friendly and helpful. It's my favorite lunchspot.

First time order, took advantage of free delivery.we were 100% satisfied with our Philly cheese steaks, fries, and onion rings. WOW.nice when you take a shot with a place, and 100% satisfied

I ordered an Italian sub, loaded. It was the best sub sandwich I've had in my entire life! The jardiniere was just the right combo of hot & pickled. Can't wait to go back and get an Italian beef with the most excellent jardiniere!

I put a 3 star review because they do have my favorite philly cheese steak in all of Venice but $12.83 for a 10 inch sub and a rude old lady to greet you at the front desk is not worth it to me!

I have been a regular customer here for the last 3 months I would say - coming in at least every week or every other week to order subs for myself and the other ladies I work with at my job. Every time I come in to pick up my food there is an older lady at the front desk taking orders/answering the phones that acts like she hates her life and everyone around her! You would think a business would want to have a friendly person up front to greet people but maybe this lady has some sort of seniority there where she can act the way she does around customers. Or maybe she just has something against me personally, even though I have always been friendly when picking up orders and have always tipped with a smile on my face.

Another thing to note is that the pricing here is a little crazy and doesn't make much sense. A large (10 inch) is $12.83 and a small (5 inch) is $11.75.not sure how that pricing makes sense considering its a 5 inch difference?

Overall I've only tried their philly cheesesteak which is AMAZING and I do recommend trying, but I will not be coming back unfortunately because of the lady at the front desk. Again, you'd think a business would like to have friendly, welcoming employee in the front greeting their customers, not a lady who acts like she hates the place!

Everyone here is so nice and the food was so good! Their philly cheesesteak hit the spot! And those cheese bites and jalapeno poppers were so tasty! Definitely coming back!

Straight up best steak and cheese in venice! The rest of their subs are excellent as well. Italian has so much meat its hard to hold it. My sons love the meatball and chicken sub. Great staff!

We go every Saturday! It’s the perfect small town, “hole in the wall” restaurant. They have our favorite Philly Cheese Steak (get extra cheese, so good!), my favorite Chicken Salad and my favorite Chicken Caesar Salad! I always get the mini corn dogs as a snack too. D'Angelos was my biggest craving while I was pregnant with my daughter and they still are, even though she’s about to be 10 months old. The people who own it and work there are wonderful. They feel like family and D'Angelos will be our spot forever (God willing). I’m ashamed I haven’t left them a review sooner, as I’ve been eating here regularly for 2 years now, thanks to my boyfriend Kyle. As cliché as it may sound, you can tell they make their food with love and if you get it to-go, you can see it in the way they wrap the sub, which is flawlessly. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

This was my first visit and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The Philly cheesesteak is one of the best I’ve had! I’ll be back for sure

First time here & everything we had was good to include the turkey lasagna soup not pictured; the staff was very friendly.

Really enjoy eating at D'Angelo's Subs. The service was really friendly and fast.
I had the Philly cheese steak, tomato soup and french fries and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good sub.
