Dat Cajun Place Cafe reviews
19The food was good, with great prices and a varied selection of food to choose from. It was our first time eating there, and we will return.
I would say, Who knew there was a place this good in PCB? But apparently everyone did. I'm among the last of the locals to experience this pallet pleaser. The hurricane burger was simply divine. Don't order it when craving a burger. Order it when searching for the meaning of life. You're welcome.
Some pointers to help maximize your enjoyment: Don't sit outside if cigarette smoke during your meal bothers you. Smoking is not allowed in any of the dining areas, but the parking lot where smoking is allowed is 4 inches from some of the tables.
Come hungry.
Glenroy was so nice and very professional place was packed but it's to be expected food was great seems the women that work there a little flirty but hey tips gotta get made!
Rebecca was a very poor waitress. She needs to find a job that does not require interaction with the public. She’s a poor example of a person that deals with the public. We were very unimpressed by her service and she needs to go somewhere where service is not valued. She was rude and ruined our night out. Please make her go away.
The wife and I went and got the crawfish etouffee and the creole fish.
Both were fantastic.
The live music was nice and want overly loud.
Can't wait to come back and eat again.
We LOVE DCP! We are regulars for Sunday Brunch and Wine Wednesday but could show up any other day if we want oysters or a great burger or gumbo or anything else on their menu. The bartenders Benaiah, Tiff, Aimee and servers Caroline, Mandi and all are like family. They go out of their way to make your experience awesome. You really need to give them a try!
Our only recommendation is to ask the Sunday Jazz Ensemble NOT to sing. Bless his heart, but it is painful to listen to. Not trying to be hurtful-just truthful.
This was my first visit since they moved to their new location. Food is still as great as before. It's now brighter inside compared to their other place. I'm nostalgic to the old place for that, but I also like to eat.lol.
Best Cajun food around, pur waitress was on point, the food was so good, the atmosphere is relaxed and the games were on.
LOVE DCP! My favorite is their Sunday Brunch. The live Jazz music and delicious cajun-style biscuits and gravy are where it's at. It does get very busy, so go early right when they open for a seat. Service can be a little slow in the morning rush, but everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Just get a mimosa or Bloody Mary, jam out to the jazz, and any wait will fly by.
Great food. Amazing gumbo! Baked oysters prices on drinks and food are very hard to beat. Come early its a busy place.
The wait wasn't long, the food was outstanding, our server was excellent. But the best part was being with good friends!
Great food as usual. Fast service. The environment is awesome at the new location, which includes multiple tvs on every wall. The chicken fried chicken with cheese grits has always been a great choice that I get every time.
First visit and will definitely be back! I had gumbo & 1/2 muffalatta and wife had cajun monte cristo, everything was awesome. Server (Danielle) was top notch
A little off the heavily beaten path (a good thing) with a great menu, fantastic food, great clean environment, an outdoor area with live music, and tons of TVs for sports/game watching.
Absolutely amazing dinner. The place was packed but we were sat within 5 minutes and service didn't lack! Very impressed
The experience at the new building far exceeds the old one. Bands, a large centerpiece bar with TVS all around and the same quality eating experience!
I love crispy bacon but not to the point it breaks my tooth. Be careful*
Restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, plenty of tv's & big menu assortment. Best Gumbo anywhere around! Anna was a great server.
I had their muffaletta sandwich, it wasn't like you get in New Orleans, but was very good. My wife had the shrimp and grits, not bad but needed to be seasoned better. The service was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only real complaint would be that the portions tend to be on the small size.
Food was remarkable. I mean some of the best. I had oysters and blt and fries, hubby had eutoufe. He said it was some of the best he had. The bread my blt came on was absolutely amazing, they are not stingy with the bacon either, It was loaded. Tv's everywhere, open bars throughout and be aware it is a very loud atmosphere. If you're looking for a more quiet environment, this is not it. Football games on all 15 TV screens and fans cheering, so it's not a quiet environment. It's a very cute place inside, the decor is nice. Food was great. We'll be back.
