Davie Veterans Park

In the early '80s L- lake was one of the coolest place, where there are condos in apartments now used to be a beach. Where everybody rode their dirt bikes ATCs dune buggies and horses. We all went swimming and fishing. Although we're the park actually is was just an empty area. It's nice, but disappointing all at the same time! So much has changed whenever we visit South Florida I shake my head!

Every city has a park dedicated to their veterans and this is the one in Davie. Davie Veteran's Park is a small half acre neighborhood park on the shore of a lake. Attracted by the water, the park has a number of ducks and Egyptian geese.

Park amenities include a wooden deck you can fish from and a covered playground with climbing structures and swings. There are also two covered picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis. The veterans memorial portion of this park is a simple marble slab dedicating the park to "All who served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. " As far as veterans memorials go this one is pretty small and simple.

This park is open daily from 9 AM until sunset. My favorite part of the park was the gorgeous in bloom royal poinciana tree. You can catch a view of the Hardrock guitar shaped hotel across the lake. While this is a nice place to picnic, fish, or take the kids to play, if you don't live in the neighborhood you can skip it.

This is quiet little park not too crowded and a peaceful place to relax and look out at the lake.

My kid loves this park! It's a hidden gem in Davie and there is always something fun to do. Whether it's the playground or the dock on the lake it's always fun.

Beautiful, day or night. (nighttime has the fountains lit up and Hard Rock in the distance) Nice little park to fish, let the kids play, and chill. It would get 5 stars if they would kill a little of the growth that runs out about 40 feet from shore. If you are not casting a heavy weedless lure good luck getting it out there. Hope for southern winds.

Beautiful day! Went to park to have lunch with my Son, Daughter-n-law & grandson. Birds, ducks, turtles all out enjoying the beauty! Picnic tables, play area for children. Beautiful

Small park
That is in the middle of a neighborhood. Clean has a place for kids to play limited parking, but I see people parking on the grass next to the road. The fishing is hit or miss depending on what you are fishing for. Caught some bass the first day came back and not a bite at all. Overall a good place to burn a few hours. Plenty of ducks and birds to feed.

I go to this park at night when I need to decompress. The lake and water fountain are very relaxing to look at and listen to.

I enjoyed every minute in this park, clean quiet and there are many tables to setdown and enjoy, sometimes i Bing my online work with me and finish there, highly recommend if you are around
