I set up a test drive and quickly moved to purchasing and Joe and the sales team were excellent throughout the entire process. No one likes the car-buying process but from getting a timely quote via email to delivery, this was as easy and solid of a process as any buyer could hope for. Thanks to the Davis Chevrolet team.

As far as the car was concerned, everything was good. Mask wearing compliance in the service area was terrible. Most of the agents either took them off or had their nose hanging out. There was a sign, but otherwise, other customers were not asked to wear masks, and most were not wearing them.
I was early for my appointment but that didn't matter. My representative took me anyway. I don't have any bad thing to say about my visit. Everyone was very nice.
Davis Gainesville Chevrolet engaged in elder financial exploitation when Carl Thompson (Finance Manager) prepared the financing documents for my 72-year-old mother to purchase and finance a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. I attempted to resolve the issue by calling Carl Thompson and explained that my mother was not aware she purchased additional extended warranties and other products from the dealership. Thompson responded that he had been in the business over twenty-three years and he knows what he is doing and insisted that my mother was fully aware of the purchase of a $2500 extended warranty and a $600 maintenance plan. I then asked Carl (Finance Manager), since my mother signed the dealership paperwork and explained she did not discuss any extended warranties or other services with you. Does this mean my 72-year-old mother is being dishonest? Carl Thompson responded “he did not want to argue with me, Bank of America had already funded his deal, and nothing could be done about it”. Thompson completely avoided answering the question and would not say my mother was being dishonest when she explained she was not aware of purchasing the dealership extended warranty and maintenance plan. My mother was called into Thompson’s office and told to sign, sign and initial. Absolutely, no explanations of what was included in the contract.
When my mother left Davis Gainesville Chevrolet not knowing she purchased an additional extended warranty and maintenance plan. And thought she was only paying for and financing the vehicle and ended up purchasing unknown services and extras included by Carl Thompson. This nefarious service and business practice meets the definition of organized crime, corrupt, heinous, and despicable when used to exploit elder/senior customers who trust them to have integrity.
This case of elder financial exploitation against my mother should be investigated by the FBI, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs to ensure Davis Gainesville Chevrolet and Carl Thompson does not continue these corrupt business practices designed only to maximize its profits and ignore the will and intentions of its customers.
This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. From the initial phone call with CJ King to taking delivery of the vehicle there were no hassles, there were no bait and switch sales tactics, no hidden fees. Everything was just like it was presented from the start. The entire team was polite and professional. Integrity and honesty has earned Davis Chevrolet my business.
This dealership is absolutely amazing. The staff is fantastic and really work hard to make things happen.from start to finish my car deal was so calm and stress free, they are so caring and proper. I got the car of my dreams. C J was magical getting my deal done. I walked in expecting to get turned down. But left happy and satisfied with my experience. I recommend this dealership to everyone. If you have doubts about getting approved due to past credit issues and financial problems you gotta go there. I'll be sending all my friends and family there
I took my vehicle here to get serviced; hoping that taking it to the dealership would be easier. After they “ fixed my car” my engine light turned back on the next day exhibiting the same behavior that it had before I took it to get serviced (meaning they didn’t fix the issue at hand). Upon calling them back, I was told “ you need to replace your battery that’s probably the reason” I took my battery to two different places to get tested before I even considered replacing it (bc I got it less than a year ago) each place ran two tests, and my battery was completely fine; I witnessed both test first hand. What angers me is when I called back to say “ hey it’s not my battery, my engine light came on the day after you all serviced it” is the fact that it seemed like the service rep didn’t care. I won’t put him, but to make matters worse, when they couldn’t fit me in on a Saturday (which I think is honestly not cool because at this point, it’s obvious the diagnosis they did and the repairs they did were lackluster. Because of you repair someone’s car the engine light shouldn’t turn on THE VERY NEXT DAY). Any who they couldn’t fit me into the schedule, and to make matters worse he suggested other places to go, versus taking responsibility for them not taking my car right and showing any kind of urgency to TRY to fix it or meet the needs of their customer. I will be definitely taking my services elsewhere. I wouldn’t go here for repairs. They don’t seem to care about customers and would rather tell you to go somewhere else than take responsibility. Pretty disappointing, especially being the fact thay I was severely inconvenienced during the holidays
Was driving from northern Florida from a trip and decided to see a car i had been communicating with dealership through carguru and would not responding on pricing, so i decide to drive through gainesville on Friday holiday time. Get to dealership, greeted by a sales person he was good. We spoke and showed car and couldn't come to a price resolution I was ok with that until i was leaving and his manager held us up for 20 min then acted like when we were leaving because the only wanted to knocked off 400 so much for not being married to car. He acted like we just ruined his day after waiting our time when i told him price was a factor. Don't think I need the car from this dealer with that attitude show true colors when they don't get you to overpay for a car
Was charged $150 diagnostic fee to get an inaccurate and vague answer. Was told it would be another $650 to fix. Took my car to another mechanic, with parts and labor it was $195. Not only over priced but poor service and looking to take advantage of customers.
Customer service rep Dave was awesome. He was courteous, friendly, and explained everything in detail. My vehicle was due for a oil change and it had a factory recall. I had a little bit of a longer wait but, for the most part I had a positive experience! Thank you, Davis Gainsville Cheverolet Cadillac!

Had a fantastic, stress-free sales experience when purchasing a new vehicle. My salesperson Clovis was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions and never pressuring me to buy something more expensive or push unwanted features on me. He let me test drive every vehicle I inquired about and demonstrated all the cool new features available in each. Carl worked with me to get the best deal on my car, and helped me get a lower interest rate and monthly payments that fit MY budget. Gary helped me take care of the tag, title, and insurance and made the paperwork a breeze. The entire sales team provided excellent service second to none, with no B. S.or theatrics, and I got a great car at a great price. Would definitely recommend.
My friend went to this center for a collision repair he picked it up 3 times every time had to take it back immediately because of the incompetence of the staff and then the last time we were in there they took the car around to fix something real quick and then damaged the side of the vehicle and tried to hide it from us by doing a mediocre wipe job. Staff was constantly saying we didn’t know what we were talking about when bring up obvious things that they missed. Overall terrible experience with this place they even glued a senser back together instead of just replacing it with a new one. Not only do I recommend not going to this place I warn you guys be careful of shops in college towns who will do anything to just make a buck
Perfect transaction! I texted ahead about a few trucks I was looking at and they had them lined up out front to compare. Salesman CJ was easy going and knowledgeable, and I decided on a new Silverado. They had me out the door in 2.5 hours including finance and detailing! They even found an extra rebate after I’d signed everything because I lived out of county and cleaned up the paperwork that day while the vehicle was in detail. Super honest, I would have never known that extra money was on the table. Really well ran dealership.
10yrs ago my cavalier overheated n they took all day to replace the water pump. Paid almost $$600$$, BUT IT COMES WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY LOL
Dale in the service area was amazing! He walked me through the multi-point inspection, relayed next steps, and had my car back to me in under 60 minutes. I've gone to this location by necessity for years because of my lease/warranty. Now I will go out of choice because of the exceptional service. Not sure what has changed but keep up the great work!
You know how dealerships get those bad reps because they are so pushy when you are looking for a vehicle. Sometimes you just want to look and not buy and keep your options open. But most dealerships dont care and they push too hard and thats how they lose customers. But a couple weeks ago my husband and I had the best experience at this dealership. It was the first time EVER! This was all because of our salesman Randy. You see Randy had only been at the dealership for about 2 weeks and he didnt come from a salesman background. It was his first time experience and he was very kind and open about his life and how he became a salesman. Most important he was not pushy! He completely understood that we just wanted to come look and keep our options open. It we already ha been to Ford and had our eyes on a Ford. But at the end we ended up buying a truck with Chevy. We were very happy to be his first sell. I recommend Chevy and all dealerships to hire more salesmen like Randy! And Chevy it would be a mistake to lose Randy! Thank you Randy for being you!
