Daytona Beach Utility Billing reviews
19Never had a problem with them, very professional and polite. Willing to work with you during hard times.
Water taste like toilet water. Don't take my word for it. Taste for your self. Also service sucks. Try it for your self.
So the City can demand your deposit up front and in cash but can't return your deposit for over 3 weeks and then they'll mail you a check pray it goes to the right address. Land of the fee and the home of the SLAVE
Everytime I call or go to office in person the Customer Service Agents are very courteous, professional, and patient with me. They get things done in a comprehensive and swift manner.
Terrible, they charge low income communities $500 to $600 for utility services while the higher income pays $100 to $200. I went to the restroom and the slide lock for the stall is held together by a bolt. The county is full of drug addicts abd they fund methadone clinics to just put a temporary bandaid on the drug problem.
Beatrice took care of my call. She answered my questions and was very professional and kind. I wish more people were so kind and considerate.
They sent my deposit to the same apartment in which I left. I told them my new address numerous times. But they still sent it to the wrong address and the new resident cashed my check. They told me over and over that they sent it to my new address, across the state. So I asked for proof of the check. They sent me a front and back photocopy and the stamp on the back was a Amscot in DAYTONA BEACH. Not 400 miles away where I live now. So they blatantly lied to me multiple time to cover their own mistake and now someone else has my money.
Three stars for the ridiculously high deposit when you have perfect credit. $400 for my deposit. Glad the incoming pipe was not another 1/2 inch in diameter or it would have been $750. Take that poor people wanting to come live here.
This is the WORST utility company I have ever dealt with in my life (in 3 states). They don’t even deserve 1 star. I have been directly lied to by at least 3 “supervisors. ” Beyond unethical and completely incompetent! Our nightmare with them started 9 months ago (after 2 years of consistent usage) when we started getting overcharged by their faulty meter. They REFUSE to face the facts or address issues fairly, even when presented with a myriad of proof. They ignore facts, rarely return phone calls, go back on their word and just repeat themselves over and over on theories they made up that have been disproven numerous ways. I wish we had any other option or there was any outlet to get ANYONE to hold them accountable! Not a single supervisor I have spoken to is deserving of his or her job. It’s disgusting that blatantly lying seems to be a company policy. Wish the City of Daytona Beach cared. They also don’t respond when you file a complaint through them. Pitiful.
I live in a 2 bed 2bth condo and my bill is $200 a month w a pool washer or dry. The damn sewage is more than the water usage and they can't even explain to me how to control the amount used huge rip off!
Paid over 500 to start my water bill.have yet to see what my actual monthly water bill is. Nothing in the mail yet and its been over a month.
To me, since they are getting digital information regarding our water usage, why is it that we are not notified when the water bill is heading to an extremely high amount (leaks, toilet running, etc.) I've had months where my water ran thousands of gallons over normal usage due to a leaking toilet, and was never notified until I received the bill. If they have the data in order to produce a bill, they should be able to see an abnormal usage and make the customer aware before the month closes. Florida Power and Light allows us to see daily usage of our electricity. I think the city of Daytona Beach water utilities is way behind with regard to servicing it's customers.
Seems to me that this office is stuck in the 1980s website is not helpful and the employees if you find a friendly One (their is a few) seem like if they wanted to help couldn't due to the lack of tools and resources. Don't forget motivation. Their is no sense of urgency for anything let alone significant issues.the worst is that there Is almost no concern for community which this company provides utilities for.
When it comes to emergencies or any questions, the after hour dispatcher (steve) knows nothing. That being said; if something ever happens, you better hope its not after 4pm.
I have NO clue what all the others are talking about. My water bill is always between 150-200 a month and I have a pool! The only time it was EVER higher was when I had a broken shower and it sprayed for 24 hours.then they worked with me since it was a holiday and I couldnt get anyone out to fix it until Monday! I think these guys are reasonable!
They called three times to get my address right.
I still haven't received a bill and it's impossible to call, you stay on hold with bad music blasting for ever, just to get hung up on.
Yaall suck
It is so expensive a 298.00 security deposit that is nuts never heard of such thing what if u live on a fixed income like social security just way to much to ask
This is the worst. Way to exspensive. Idk how I have a 300 water bill. I do not have a dishwasher, washer, dryer. Nothing leaking no running toilet. Nobody home for 10 hours a day there is no reason for my water bill to be $300 plus a month.
BEWARE! They charge $300+ security deposit (that you never get back until you move). My water bill is $200-$300+ each month for a 2 BR condo! This is the most expensive water company, I have ever dealt with. If you can help it, move to Ormond Beach or Port Orange, as Daytona sucks anyways!
