Daytona Climbing Company reviews
19 Very rude service
I tried to ask a question & was totally ignored. They were no help. I think the man’s name started with a Z or X but I didn’t catch the whole name.
I won’t be back.
Our 8 year old well versed in Climbing, enjoyed it, but it's a lot smaller Gym than where he regularly climbs, so not very challenging for him
People there were very nice, and he was the only younger person climbing.
This is a great climbing gym, and having grown up in the area I am so happy to see this place. I went to their free yoga session on Sunday morning, and then stuck around to climb. Plenty of routes that get switched up often, friendly staff, and just a cool community for the area.
Nice little climbing gym.
Nothing huge but some decent angles overhangs and a great staff
Amazing experience! If I was local I would def become a member! Everyone (not only the staff but other climbers too) were all so kind and helpful and fun. Highly recommend!
My daughter is 4 and my son is 13 and they both love this place. It’s a good place for them to get their energy out, and the people who work there are so nice. We will be back asap!
Knowledgeable staff and solid climbing community here love that there’s just as much slab as overhang climbs. Great addition to South Daytona
I’ve gone to a lot of climbing gyms while I travel, but this one definitely stood out!
They have great sets and enough space to keep you busy. You can tell the space is designed for climbers— they have a wingspan measurer, a moon board, a campus board, Hangboards, benches, etc! They also have a nice little shop area
They offered me rental chalk which saved the day since I’m Travelling and didn’t bring my chalk
I came here to get out of my comfort zone and get over my fear of heights, staff was so friendly, compassionate, and informative! Answered all my repetitive questions even when it felt like I stalling to actually climb lol
Gotta try it out!
Had a great time with my son (14 years-old). We have climbed a few times before, but are not overly experienced. There were several easier routes that helped us build confidence, and we were both able to complete all of the "easy" rated routes; even the more complex one. This was mostly because the staff was great and very helpful. Not only that, but a lot of the of the more experienced people who were there climbing were super-kind and quick to offer good advice. Hopefully, this also helps to indicate the excellent atmosphere you will find here. I definitely recommend this climbing gym. It's great for adults, kids, and families.
The pin maps takes you to is incorrect.just a tiny little gym.they grade by v0-v1, v2-v3, v4-v5, v6-v7, v7+. Hated that, they’re separate grades for a reason.i understand grades are subjective, but it’s just making things harder/easier for no reason.i guess maybe to
have more options because the gym is tiny? But if you’re new to climbing it’s just going to make it harder, and confusing in the long run.it would be very difficult if starting out to jump from v2-v3, to v4-v5 problems in here.also they have little plaques telling you the grade, and separate ones for if you start with one or two hands.great in theory, but again the gym is so tiny sometimes it was hard to differentiate which problem it was for.that being said, the quality of routes and variety of problem type were great considering the size of the gym.the staff member working was awesome.also love you guys have a fridge of yerbs:)
The staff member Evan was awesome, he gave my son advice, but still let him plot out his trials. Spoke about the community these climbers form, perfect for any body, any age to get out there
While it is a bit of a smaller gym, it has this cool tucked away vibe. People there are really friendly.and the routes have quite a few interesting holds and ways of being set I'm not as use to. Overall, I think it's a very solid gym.
What a great community! My son and I really enjoyed the climbing experience the company has provided to us. It is not a big place but climbing routes are numerous.
Visiting from Seattle and found this little gem in South Daytona. Very small gym but a warm and friendly environment, and plenty of routes to keep you occupied. Grades were on par with what we get in Seattle, though the walls here aren't textured, which makes smearing quite challenging. Brought my niece and nephew and had a great time. Will definitely visit again when I'm back!
This was the first time I ever did this, and ALL the people there were so helpful! It was great!
Rad place. I appreciate that the routes didn't feel sandbagged and were true to the (indoor) grade. I'd say they know what they're doing and we're great to chat with. I will be back when I visit family next time.
Great staff, lots of route variety and cool sets. Great atmosphere, very welcoming gym. Includes training section of moonboard campus board and hangboards. Would recommend.
Probably the best pricing I’ve seen in the gym if you’re looking for lead or taproot, it’s not a gym for you but bouldering it’s pretty good variety of different sets and the gym has its own unique look didn’t really talk to many people, but I recommend this gym
