Deercreek Country Club, Jacksonville FL

Shannon from the bar at the clubhouse is extremely disrespectful. She is rude to so many people and nothing is ever done about it. She should not be working here. She brings a bad image to Deercreek and many people think that.

Beware.deercreek only wants money which is why they have security guards roaming the premise giving tickets payable to “deercreek country club”. There is nothing legally binding about these tickets. They lurk around and wait for you to go above the 30 mph speed limit. I was going 36 which i find just rude to send someone a ticket in the mail for without even warning them. This place is selfish and doesn’t care about it’s residents. I have lived here for 2 years and have never wanted to move so badly in my life

The guards at the gate are at it again. By guards I mean one guard in particular who makes my time living here a living hell. She is short with dark black hair. When my Uber comes into the neighborhood, I gave her my ID and my code and told her I was a resident. She then asked for the Ubers ID in which he didn’t have it which is definitely his fault he should have an ID. However, this woman didn’t let him take me home. She refused even though I am a resident and she work for the community. She was disrespectful and distasteful and I hope no1 has to go through this. I was made to walk 2.5 miles in the blistering sun with luggage on me to drag bc she wouldn’t let him take me home. If this isn’t outrageous I don’t know what it. I am prone to fainting and dizzy spells. I almost fainted by the time I was home covered in sweat. I don’t know what I can do to make a change around here but if writing a review can help in anyway so be it. DO SOMETHING ABOUT HER.

Great course, great outside staff, great bartenders and servers, great food, great kitchen. Some tee boxes need work but the greens have been awesome year round.

HOWEVER, if you are young, I don’t really recommend it here. Demographic is largely older white gentlemen, with plenty of older women as well. The younger group at this club tend to not stick around due to treatment by ownership, members, or staff. It is a country club so you shouldn’t expect diversity.
Still a great club to play and practice at, just have to know who to avoid.
