Dee's Hang Out, Panama City Beach FL

My husband and I were in town for the beach and we are usually picky about eating at new restaurants especially seafood, but i loved the food definitely best place to eat if you like shrimp. We will be back!

First (and last) time, last Friday night. Sat at the bar. Bar tender was great. Ordered a grouper sandwich and mahi mahi tacos. Fish sandwich was fair, bread a bit stale. The fish tacos were terrible, definitely very old fish used. They came with a bag of cajun crawfish chips (did not get to pick flavor). There was a the new standard 3% extra tax for using a debit card and a 5% "covid tax". I wanted fish and grits but with all the taxes it was going to be over $30!

Double check your receipt after you eat here. Our Server Gayle apparently didn't think our 20% tip was enough and took it upon himself to change a $20.77 tip to $25.00. Don't care about a few dollars; do care about honesty. It's a shame because we really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

Why anybody would choose firefly over Dee's Hangout is beyond me. Dee's has the better menu, better prices, and better quality. Seriously everything that I had was amazing. Including the service. We walked in and they had a 15-minute wait so we decided to go to the bar and as soon as we that down, our name's got called to sit at the table but we decided to stay at the bar. We started out with she crab soup, bang bang shrimp, chips and queso, and two dozen raw oysters. Then we got the steak tacos and the tuna tacos. Our eyes were bigger than our stomach and we had to take home the tacos and the shrimp. Everything reheated fabulous the next day. I don't use the microwave so I reheated the shrimp on the stove and the tacos in the oven. I would go back for this she crab soup alone.

They serve alot of Cajun dishes. Was very good. You could definitely share, the servings are huge.

The best Cajun dishes outside of Louisiana. Actually better than most in Louisiana. Incredible RB&R. I had the special of the day. Blackened redfish topped with a Pontchartrain sauce. It was wonderful!

Absolutely amazing service, our server was absolutely amazing, very upbeat, friendly, and great enjoyful tone even though they were busy. The food was delicious, goes to show that even if you are very busy, you still can make amazing and great tasting food. I cannot wait for my next time to eat here, and I proudly recommend this great resturant to you!

Great choice. Nice ambiance - miracle strip-memorabilia-themed. If you’re in the area, you will be happy with this choice especially if you’re with the family.

She crab soup and tuna dip are both amazing, and we haven't even reached the main course yet. Yum!

Gluten free! Most of their menu items can be made gluten free, even the fried foods! The food is also delicious!

Food is WAYYYY overpriced for the quality. We ate here last week on 8/7/21. Took forever to get seated then the food that came out wasn’t good. My stomachs been tore up since would not recommend. The reason it gets 2 stars Vs zero is the red beans and rice and hush puppy’s were decent at best.

Great food and great service! My husband and I both ordered the seafood trio. We could have split one order - that’s how much food there was. It was delicious! My stepson, who is a bottomless pit, ordered the jambalaya. The portion he got was so huge, he could only eat half of it and he loved every bite. Our waiter, Sanjay, was very attentive and polite. We’ll definitely go there again on our next visit to PCB!

Fresh Grilled Grouper was Fantastic! The Baked oyster are always a staple of my wife's and myself trip! Kids food was pretty good! Service was top notch! I would recommend 10 out of 10 times!

Roaches were crawling on the beach so I cannot imagine what the kitchen looks like we brought it to their attention so they offered for us to move tables …like that makes a difference and offered deserts in which we were not interested in…but before that fish was good and the shrimp skewers were perfect…Gumbo and re-beans and rice need work

Delicious fried catfish, so light with good crunch. And I am a fan of the cocktails, no cheap mix here. The house marg, rum runner and painkiller were all tasty, no hangover! Puzzled no Mai Tai. While the fried food was excellent, the French fries were not as good, surprising.

Such good food and service. Cat fish was very good, red beans and rice was the best we have had and I had the blackened mahi tacos and they were so good, also had calamari with dipping sauce (amazing). Loved our waitress Vic! I wanted a pina colada in a suvioner cup but they had been out of them, she managed to get me the model cup on shelf and had one made up. We will definitely be back tomorrow. We loved this place.

Dee's food is always top notch. Service is magnificent. Loved the southern style. Atmosphere is perfect.
