Digestive Medicine Associates reviews
16First they send me a message that they cannot verify my referral and today, which is the day of my appointment, the person on the phone tells me that Dr. MADERAL does not accept my insurance on the same day of the appointment? Go somewhere where they value patients and your time! This site is useless
Very bad customer service, they do not have tact or a good attitude to treat people. The way of addressing is very VERY unpleasant, as health professionals I recommend that you first do some research on good manners. PATHETIC
First and last time here, requested my medical records and do not recommend. Horrible wait time doesn’t matter which office you go to. You’ll wait at least an hour after your appointments. I have gone to both office, and the staff are also rude and condescending, seems like they are the customers and they are doing you the favor.
Bad costumer service and cancellations left and right with no respect to the patients and their time! I will not be seen by this entity!
I looked for this site for my aunt's colon test because I saw very good comments.well it turns out that my aunt was told she had to pay $114 for the anesthesia, which was not covered. Which is illegal! First, because the insurance policy (I am an agent) covers 100% of all prevention tests, the patient does not have to pay or leave a credit card on hold. As they explained to me in the billing department, if the insurance later covered the anesthesia, they would refund the $$. My question is.and how do I know that? Or rather who believes it?
Wait time is too much even by appointment. I arrived early for my appointment and asked the receptionist if I could come in earlier or I could come back at my time, the receptionist said to me yes you could go in early because the doctor was here, so no, I waited there for almost two hours. The doctor didn't give me written instructions, he told me to take notes; I had to take notes on my cell phone, when he opened the office's door to leave he remembered to inform me of other instructions that he gave me with the open door. The bathrooms were without toilet paper or hand soap, and the dispensers were filled with water. Good luck if you decide to go with this doctor and his staff.
One of the worst I have visited in Hialeah, with no respect for their patients, making them wait more than 45 minutes for an appointment registered weeks ago. Horrible reception, the doctors didn't even see them out of indignation and lack of respect and communication.
Took my mom for a follow up to check results and I have been waiting 2 hours and they haven’t called us. Incredible. The doctor is great but the front office needs to do better. They have a questioner that most older people can’t even do. Very disrespectful to patients time.
Very inefficient front desk staff. They simply canceled my appointment because I refused to save my credit card in the system. Is it legal to require a patient's credit card in order to be seen by a doctor? I guess it is not the staff to blame for it but the owners of the institution, they only follow the procedures established by the board of directors.

The NP I see has been great. But due to managements new policy of no choice for patient paying co-pay, I will be going to another practice. The issue patients have no choice for payment options. You know a dictatorship, like the state of Florida. You now have to give them a credit card and they will keep it on file permanently, you have no choice or else you will not be able to see the doctor. You no longer have the CHOICE to pay for ur visit with any credit/debit card of ur chossing every visit. And they say you don't have a choice because of the new system.
For people who go to this medical center I went with the intention of having a colonoscopy they gave me the appointment I followed the procedures a couple of days before they called me to inform me of the copayment my copayment according to them was $800 I canceled the appointment I went to another medical center and my copay is $0, zero dollars, be very careful. Because I inquired with my insurance and it seems that they have this policy of making undue charges, I do not recommend it. Now I cannot speak about the doctors because none attended me
I come back because I trust Dr. Maderal's team, to include Heidy Dorta, but the girls that answer the phones at the call center are absolutely terrible. They make the experience very unpleasant with their nasty condescending attitude, lack of care and interest. I come here because my PCP studied with Dr. Maderal, and he trusts him and his expertise. I dread having to call only because I know I'm going to be met with a nasty attitude when I'm already having issues with my health and calling to schedule an appointment because I'm clearly feeling unwell. The last thing I want to deal with while feeling ill and trying to schedule medical care is some lady being nasty and rude. Every. Single. Time.
Grateful and satisfied with everyone's care, Dr. Padilla, the anesthesiologist Rivas and all the assistants, thank you.
Absolutely the worse doctors office I have ever encountered. They are way over the head and want to blame every other party involved to not admit their mistake. Had to cancel a third scheduled Endoscopy/Colonoscopy. I decided to go some where else. On top of that when I went for visit front desk asked all patients to come in early so she can leave early. Making me wait 2 hrs 45 mins and 1hr 45 mins over original appointment time. So fair warning, good luck.
I called the office to request an appointment and they did not want to give me the appointment even though I explained that I no longer had confidence in that doctor Kertznus Simply if you already see a doctor even if you do not feel comfortable, he does not help you and do not trust, you cannot view at this location as per your policy! So actually they are a business just for $ not to help patients is it a dictatorship? Dr. Kertznus never helped me, never received any guidance from him. Thanks to another place I was able to stop taking so many medications. But since I changed my insurance, I called to see another doctor in the area.
Lousy service, they make an appointment for an hour and make you wait 2 hours to go to the procedure, knowing that the patient has been taking a product for the stomach since the day before and with an empty stomach, other patients who have an appointment later come by Because they arrived before their appointment, I do not recommend this clinic, they do not have any consideration for the patient.
