Discovery Academy of Science, Palm Harbor FL

I’m gonna be honest staff and teachers there a pretty nice nice. Kids there tho, im gonna have to pass on them. I went there from 2nd to 6th grade left the school shortly after starting 6th grade and the start of 6th grade for me went downhill there. Personally I don’t like that you are stuck with the same kids in middle school there from 1st-7th period. You don’t even get to interact with ur friends in other classes. Was called “Slave” by one of the teachers there while the class had to clean up a mess we didn’t make. I heard from friends at the school that shortly after I left at least 10 teachers had left and that teachers that had not led would sub for different classes. Plus the PE court is really just a strange situation. You only get a half court per class? Like middle gets half and elementary gets half not that fun when your trying to play a game. I recommend sending your child to a public middle school after elementary or just sending your child to a public middle or elementary school.

My children were the very first to be accepted into this supposedly higher learning educational program. My daughter went from straight As to failing due to covid, having to quarantine and not to mention the teaching was at best mediocre. She suffered with being bullied to the point we had to involve the school board along with them threatening to remove my daughter for "missing too many days" due to her being repeatedly exposed to covid because of our govenors policy on pretending there is no covid. They've put my child at risk and are now bullying her to be removed so they can keep their A rating. This school is completely pushing out the kids who's parents USE their voice to ensure they follow policy. This is retaliation for us standing up for what's right and protecting our child. Shame on you DAS for putting your reputation before a child's future learning. This school is notorious for keeping bullies and pushing the victims out. My son was a DAS student and is now at a different school with straight As which he never accomplished at DAS, it's not the children it's the school. This school is absolutely absurd and disgraceful.

Great School, North & South Locations. Staff & Teachers have been great through the whole Process. Always helpful. One Child is in Kindergarten and one in 4th Grade.

Administration shows an utter lack of consideration for the students or their well being. Pulling child.

It's was such a fun school here, the students and staff are very nice and make you feel very accepted in the school. I came from Ohio and found friends easily at this good school.

I went there in 8th grade. It was pretty good, the classes are small so we get more one on one time with teachers and it was fun and I learned a lot.

This is an AMAZING school we have being here for the last two years and the Administration and teachers are super great, we feel like a family, great education, great program and also an amazing Gifted program, Art and music. We highly recommend it!
