Discovery Commons is a wonderful assisted living community! They have a very strong management team and a commitment to excellent care from their staff. The residents are very well cared for!

As a nurse practitioner I been honored to serve resident patients in over 50 senior communities. What stands out at Discovery Commons South Biscayne begins with Melissa Vanderbilt-Bestor and team.
Melissa is out among the residents; not hiding in her office. The smiles on the faces of the residents evoked by Melissa's engagement is a sight to behold. Joy matters! Melissa gets it!

Discovery Commons has the best staff and customer service. My mom moved into Discovery Commons after leaving the hospital. It was a seamless transition. They are here for their patients and the family members. The staff members are very warm and make you feel welcome.

Staff have been so helpful especially Jamie and Michelle. Everyone is friendly and professional.

After visiting over 8 senior assisted living communities, we selected Discovery Commons Cypress Point for our 94 year old mother. We were impressed with the highly qualified medical staff, the very knowledgeable business, marketing and management team, the safety and security, and the attractively maintained facilities. The entire staff was very friendly, caring, and attentive, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. The residents we met were happy and complimentary. Everyone has made our mother’s transition to her new home vey easy, welcoming, and comfortable. We all have peace of mind that she is receiving excellent care and attention, and that she is happy and pleased with everything.

Leadership team is outstanding- sincerely! Although only 4 years new to Senior Living- I will say the dedication to the staff is proven dedication to our residents and the families we care for! I'm very proud to be part of such a well oiled boutique senior living community!

Food needs to be of better quality, Housekeeping is awful. The Staff is very friendly and helpful.

My Dad was in Discovery Village for many years. He moved there when the facility first opened. It was an awesome place and he was actually happy and adjusted well. He felt like home to him and I didn’t have to worry about his care. If there was any problem, I was contacted. I would have given it 5 stars.
Then it changed hands. Slowly but surely it went down hill. Inattentive staff, lack of communication, dirty room, lost laundry, and limited activities. The price skyrocketed but the care declined. Now that he has passed, I can truly say I would not recommend putting my loved one in this place without constant supervision of their care. If I wasn’t there, I believe they would not have taken the appropriate steps needed for the well-being of my father many times. Because of this, my father passed away in a very painful way which I believe could have been prevented had the nursing staff cared or been attentive. They gave me a false sense of security.

I have always said you can judge a community by the faces of the residents when you see them. All you see is smiling faces and seniors socializing and interacting with each other. The staff there goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are socially engaged. They celebrate holidays, birthdays and really support the community around them. It is truly a great place to have your loved one. I would highly recommend taking a tour of this wonderful community

Great place to work and great staff and friendly great kitchen staff especially Bruno the kitchen director and activities directer would recommend for ppl looking to move in or work here

The staff and caregivers at Cypress Point are wonderful! They take such good care of my mother, and are responsive to my questions. They make sure I know when she needs anything. Highly recommend assisted living or memory care.

We were immediately greeted by a lovely, and educated lady named Nichole Hall. Nichole has spent countless hours explaining everything Cypress Point offers. She has a passion for her job and providing safety, security and love to her residents, and their families included! What an asset to Cypress Point!
When we went to tour the facility, we were welcomed by a very polite gentleman named Ryan. They were very diligent with covid prevention & screening, from the moment we walked in.
While Nichole walked us through the facility, explaining services offered, the entire staff smiled and said hello.
The nurse, Michelle was wonderful also, providing additional information for us.
The lunch provided for my parents was delicious, and fresh.
While making a decision as to placement, Nichole Hall again took another hour, out of her busy day, to discuss the professional care provided by Cypress Point. Kudos to whoever hired Nichole. She is a true Angel!

A beautiful community. They have great food and the friendliest staff. A fun atmosphere. Very clean.
