Disney's All-Star Movies Resort reviews
15We had some technology issues but the problems were identified and fixed by front desk magic. Shout out to Christopher, Nicole Marie, Brittney and Amanda.
Laundry machines have been repaired since the last time I was here but now the drink fountains are mostly broken. Rooms are great and service is good but there is often something that needs maintenance on site.
Quick trip, so we thought at first we were settling on staying here and not a different resort. And you know what? We loved it, our little one had so much fun. Rooms were nice, service, food options. I will definitely stay here again.
Location, location, location. Don't expect luxury but it is very convenient if the plan is to go to the parks, the transportation works perfectly and you don't have to worry about driving, parking, etc. The rooms are ok, you don't need more when the only thing they are used for is to get a few hours of sleep.
Room depends on the sector which touch is good, the cleaning service could be better.the food area could be fixed
The entire facility feels old. Although the guest rooms had been renovated, they were not comfortable. On the other hand, it was good that transportation to and from each park and early entry were possible. I'm in my 50s, so I'm reluctant to stay there again, but if you're young and just want to sleep in a hotel, I think it's an option for those who want to enjoy Disney at a lower cost.
We have a fantastic time and they were fantastic to us we had trouble with our TV the first night by the time we come back from dinner it was all fixed I couldn't ask for better place I can't wait to go back
Much nicer than I expected for the price. Think of this as equivalent to a newer Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are small but fine. Bed is comfortable, room is nicely appointed. Extremely clean - highly recommended!
We stayed for one night before heading to Magic Kingdom in the morning. Was great for our one night stay. We enjoyed the playground, arcade and walking around the resort. There were many pools but it was a bit chilly for us so we opted to skip swimming. It was great to be able to stream Disney+ from your phone and have a movie night in the room. Room was small, but was fine for our one night stay. It was convenient to jump on the bus to the parks. Food is ok, typical Disney food but had great options for the kids.
Room is fine, but the bathroom door is crazy loud opening and closing, which is annoying when the kids are asleep.
Location is solid, in the middle of everything. Plenty of cool stuff to look at at the resort as well.
I stayed here for 3 nights in Dec. 2023. All in all I enjoyed my stay.
Staff: Great! Very friendly and helpful. I arrived early in the morning and the front desk agent checked to see if a room is available already and she was able to get me into the room right away.
Rooms: Spacious and clean. Nothing fancy but certainly a solid room given that this resort is a Disney Value Property. Absolutely no complaints from my side. My room had a Queen bed and a Queen-sized table bed. They also have rooms with a King bed. Note that the rooms are motel style. So there are no indoor corridors and the room door goes directly to the outside area of the resort.
Grounds: The property is pretty nice. Everything seems well maintained. I'm sure kids would enjoy the larger than life decor from movies such as 101 Dalmatians. There are two pools - The Duck Pond and Fantasia Pool. Can't speak too much about the pools since it was too cold while I was visiting and I did not see any jacuzzis. The lobby is quite nice and you can watch Disney movies on a TV across from the front desk. There's also a little arcade area and a Disney store.
Food: I never had lunch or dinner here since I ate in the parks and Disney Springs. I do like grabbing a breakfast before heading out and they have a food court onsite. However, I was not impressed with the options. Very limited and the food tasted mediocre at best. The coffee was also terrible. There is a place where you can get a latte though and that was good. It would be nice if they stepped up their breakfast offerings with more of a variety and also healthy options to choose from. The food is unhealthy and tastes bad imo. This is my only complaint about this resort. Note that breakfast is not included in the room fee.
Location/Transportation: The All-Star Movies Resort - along with all the other All-Star Resorts - is located at the southern end of the WDW Resort. There is plenty of parking and it's free. Transportation to the parks is offered for free via Disney's bus transportation system. You'll get picked up to the left of the lobby and just look for the line with your destination. Waiting times were always short while I was there as the buses run frequently. I think it took only about a 10 minute drive to get to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, EPCOT around 15 minutes and Magic Kingdom around 20 minutes I believe.
Overall: I spent every day in the parks. So I didn't spend too much time at the hotel, but really enjoyed my stay. If you plan on spending more time at the hotel, you might want to opt for a Disney moderate or deluxe resort to enjoy nicer pool areas and more food options. The food was really the only big downside for me here.
Dreams come true.
The hotel, beyond being in the value category, has many details like only Disney can add in every corner throughout the entire resort.
It is a magical place with simple services and details for the little ones and for the adults who become children again.
The distance from the standard room in building 7 is not very long to the central hall and unless you choose to pay the preferred one for the decoration of the area, it is not worth the difference, you can go through the entire hotel and the decoration more beyond being in one area or another
Many activities at the pool during the day, the shuttle service runs until super late and is very frequent at any time and to any park
The store has everything, the food court has quite affordable options to buy salads or fast food
The rooms are somewhat small if there are 4 of you, but the beds allow for a restful rest after a long day of enjoyment in the parks.
It has a minibar where there is enough to have for breakfast and always something fresh or fruit, or water/cans of soda. The coffee maker works very well and they always restock to have coffee or tea available
Having gone out of Disney hotels I would always choose to stay at this hotel despite the size of the room
The benefits of staying inside are worth it and there is practically no difference with staying outside and renting a car
Super, I give them a 100 out of 10. Everything is very clean and always attentive and friendly. On the last day I forgot a very personal and very important item and I received an email from the hotel to find out how they could return it to me. A week later I received my item in the mail. Very grateful for that gesture. Thank you very much for making my stay magical.
The place is incredible, the service was wonderful, transportation to the park was a plus! I recommend!
Okay for the price. As a pass-holder I like the convenience of the hotels location (It’s by Animal kingdom fyi). My kids specifically enjoy all of the extremely large characters and cars “hanging off” of the hotel. The food is also decently priced. Mickey waffles and bacon are around $13/$14. My only complaint is that the rooms & room service are mediocre. But really, you’re there for your kids and to sleep, so does it really matter that much? Overall, I do recommend it to parents just keep in mind the rooms are very very small - you can’t beat the price, convenience of the hotel location, or the late hours of the lobby.
Mom Tip: Fold your strollers before entering or keep them in the car. Bring your own water and juice to the room for the fridge too. They don’t offer anything but soda machines which are always sold out of water.
