Disney's Pop Century Resort, Lake Buena Vista FL

Pop Century is pretty centrally located so transportation to all the parks and Disney Springs is typically 10 minutes or less by bus. The Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT is convenient, but since it's the only way to get to those parks, it can be busy at park opening and closing.

Rooms were clean, all service individuals were nice and attentive, overall wonderful facility

The rooms have a mini-fridge that doesn't stay very cold, but no freezer for those who have traveled farther with medications that require them to be cool at all times.
The water doesn't go cold in the rooms or hot enough for a steaming shower, it's cool but not enough to drink.
Cleaning crew come every other day and are very helpful if you need help.
We're staying in building 10 which is close to the cafeteria.

Very comfortable, clean hotel and well connected to the Disney parks. Attentive and friendly staff at all times. The food service is acceptable in terms of quality, but always the same, so if you spend a few days at the complex, you will have to repeat.

Staying at this resort has its pros and cons. On the positive side, the Skyliner is a major advantage, providing easy access to both Hollywood Studios and Epcot right from your doorstep. This convenient transportation option saves you time and enhances your park experience. Plus, the pricing here is quite reasonable, making it an affordable choice for Disney visitors.

However, it’s important to be aware of the drawbacks. The rooms, unfortunately, fall on the smaller side, which can be a challenge if you prefer more space to relax. Additionally, there’s occasionally a subtle mold smell in the bathroom, which can be a bit off-putting. Furthermore, most rooms have connecting doors, and the sound insulation is poor. This means you can hear every noise from the adjoining room, which was especially bothersome for us when we endured hours of children’s screams and alarm clocks going off for extended periods.

So, while the Skyliner and affordability are definite pluses, be prepared for compact accommodations and the occasional odor issue, along with the noise concerns due to connecting doors.

Great disney themed resort with skyliner access to 2 parks. Bed was comfy, good food offered in the food court, laundry facility accessible.

We love Pop Century. The rooms are clean & very efficient, bright & comfy. I slept so well in the bed that I tracked down what kind of pillows they used so I could have one at home. All transportation is close & the addition of the Skyliner makes it super convenient. The laundry facility is clean & well maintained. We love eating at the cafeteria & love shopping at the gift shop.

New room styles are great. Not having to request a fridge to store insulin in was definitely a relief. Skyliner was a reliable way to get around and is now my favorite method of transportation to park hop when possible.here's hoping they expand the system

Room cleaning every other day. Few food alternatives but very good location and transportation. If you go with small children, the showers are not very safe, my two children slipped and one hit his leg.

We always love being here at this resort just need better cleaning services. But overall, yes very Nice

Really awesome theming! I have stayed here multiple times and every time it's been an exceptional experience! Perfect for families or just here with friends! Plus skyliner and bus transportation makes things even better! Highly recommend staying here!

The location was great because of the skyliner and the bus access. The housekeeping was done every other day, and when we first got into our room we noticed chocolate fingerprints on the sliding doors that were not cleaned the entire week of our stay. We had an issue with our magic bands not being delivered to the hotel which they then issued free ones to us to rectify the issue, (we were told by front desk that the coupon never expired) but then found out we had to use it 7 days after it being issued. When we tried to redeem the coupon at the pop century gift shop, an older gentleman was very rude to us and consistently cut me off from speaking telling me the coupon was only for 1 magic band. So I had to go to the front desk and have someone accompany over to the gift shop for my redemption. Overall the hotel is great, as long as you don’t have to deal with the staff who is not very helpful or requires additional instruction from superiors before they’re able to help you.

This feels like home. There's nothing quite like that first breath of refrigerated air on your way to Pedals.

With the Skyliner access, how can you lose?

We love Pop Century! We always stay in a preferred room to have close proximity to the dining, busses and Skyliner. Cast members in all areas of the resort are top notch.

We had a great time here. Lots of things to look at on property. It's also on the Gondolas path which makes it extremely easy and fast to get to several parks.

Affordable, comfortable and convenient. Clean rooms and disney perks! Also skyline to parks! Fun pools and the coolest themes! Share this experience with the whole family! Or friends! Love it!

We loved this hotel. We have only ever stayed onside when visiting from Scotland but have never been disappointed by staying at disney. Feel secure and comfortable whilst here so much so that we are finding it really difficult to go offsite. Stayed at allstar music on the previous visit and again it was a great hotel.

Disney not the same getting more expensive and giving you less passholder that considering not renewing again been for over 10 years

Good point
・Among the value hotels, it has good access to each of the WDW parks (Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Skyliner, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom by bus)
-Recently renovated and clean rooms
・Room cleaning is quite thorough.
- Plenty of outlets and USB-A terminals that can be used to charge electronic devices (total of 8 outlets and USB-A terminals)

Bad points
・The hotel has several buildings like a housing complex, and some rooms may be located quite far from the front desk, bus stop, and Skyliner.
・The building where the front desk is located and the building where the rooms are located are far apart, so you have to walk outside, which can be a problem if it suddenly rains (in such cases, there are slightly larger towels near the entrance that you can use freely)
・You can hear some noise from the next room and outside (there is only one door separating the room from the outside)
・Weak water pressure in the shower
・The restaurant located near the hotel reception (close to the food court) is not very tasty and the arrangements after ordering may be difficult and you may have to wait.

Other impressions/Tips etc.
・If you just want to play at WDW until night and sleep, the access is relatively good and the price is reasonable, so I think it's enough.
・Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and various towels are provided, but toothbrushes are not provided like in Japan (plastic cups are provided).
・If you check in online using the app in advance, you can skip the front desk and go directly to your room on your first day of arrival. You can check your room number on the app closer to your stay date. Please note that if you have ordered your Magic Band online in advance, you will need to pick up your Magic Band at the front desk.
・Water is quite expensive (approximately 3.5 dollars for 600 ml and 4.5 dollars for 1000 ml), so you may be able to save some money by taking an Uber to a nearby supermarket, or by purchasing food and other items from an online supermarket that will deliver it to your room.not
・If you purchase a slightly larger plastic cup with a lid (made of plastic) sold at the shop for about $21, you will be able to drink as much juice or water as you like at the drink bar next to the hotel restaurant for the duration of your stay (not very tasty).
・If you want to eat at a restaurant, it will be faster to pick up your order using mobile ordering.
