Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside reviews
23We’re I only so lucky as to return to this wonderful wonderful home. A stay here will leave any resort, hotel, or destination variations thereupon in the dust. A masterclass in thematics, guest services, and hospitality. A paradise.
My family and I are Florida residents and buy an annual pass every three or four years. We always choose to stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. There is so much to do that you can spend a whole day just enjoying all the entertainment and recreation that they offer daily. They also now have a movie and a campfire almost every night. We love to stay at the "Magnolia" Building in the mansion section. The rooms are always clean and comfortable plus they are tastefully decorated! The landscaping is also very pretty. There is also a boat that takes you to downtown Disney. We like to stay here for many reasons but the number one reason is to see Bob Jackson in the lounge (all ages welcome). He is in the lounge Wednesday through Sunday of every week (no charge). He plays the piano and sings & tells jokes. He always insists on audience participation. I always tell my friends if they are going to stay in Walt Disney World they should stay at the Port Orleans resort (we like Riverside) and that they should try to stop by and see Bob in the lounge and that they won't be disappointed!
Excellent, was an awesome stay for our family. Reasonably priced, clean friendly place. Would go back.
Rooms are very spacious for the 6 members of my family. Quick service meals had a variety to choose from, and the pool area is fun. Staff always friendly and helpful too!
Nice room, well maintained. Very noisy. Could hear rooms above and on each side using toilet and showers. No one wants to hear neighbor taking a whiz.
We loved this place, food was amazing and everyone there was very helpful. For a place that is packed with people, never got the feeling it was crowded. We look forward in returning again soon
They messed the room up on our honeymoon. The staff did do a lot to remedy the situation but still, to have a mess up on the first night of a honeymoon is a little infuriating.
Room is clean. They are piloting a pet friendly service where pets can stay in the rooms, so we brought our puppy. They gave us food and water bowl, and a souvenir doggy tag for her collar. Staff was very friendly also. Food was decent. Location is pretty Central to all Disney parks.
We recently stayed at the Port Orleans and could not have been more impressed. To begin, it is a wonderful value for a Disney property. In addition, the pools are beautiful and keep great hours. You can expect a water slide and a series of pools in the various hotel areas. You can even water taxi to disney springs.which amps up the value of this hotel more!
The Resort takes you back to a time and memories of being by the ol' river. The cruise from Disney Springs is a nice way to cool down on a hot Florida day.
Nice resort especially the customer service. Beautiful grounds. The only thing that keeps me from rating it higher is the transportation, which everyone that stays at the resorts face. I wish they used bigger buses like some of the larger resorts.
Will stay here again.
Everything is great at this hotel! Almost... Food is good, service is exceptional, rooms and grounds are clean and quiet, amenities are amazing. Unfortunately the buses are pretty erratic. Expect long waits, which also means very crowded buses. If Disney could fix that then this would be a 5 star resort.
One of my favorite resorts at Disney World. This resort has everything that you have come to expect from Disney. Theme is done so well; really captures the atmosphere of the south. There are several pools located around this property and other amenities that are great fun including a finishing pond! The great thing about Riverside is that they have so many rooms available and typically it's easy to find a reservation.
Pretty good. Booking system is not clear and we didnt get the room we thought we booked but they did send us uo a bunch of free gifts!
My husband & I went to the Port Orleans Riverside food court for dinner because they have the create your own pasta entree. You pick your choice of shrimp or chicken, choice of sauce, marinara, pesto, or alfredo. Then you can choose what type of pasta you want. Finally, you can choose from a variety of add-ins, such as spinach, bacon, onions, etc. They cook it in front of you and give you a breadstick with it. Delicious and inexpensive.
Had a problem with our dining plan It took a little while to get fixed but is all taken care of Thanks to the conseirge and her supervisor for taking care of us at the start of our vacation. Just got to the room. Same layout as all star music but a bit nicer with the furnishings. And, this is very close to three of the parks and Disney springs
Overall the Port Orleans Riverside Resort was nice. It isnatrtaijg to show some age. The bathrooms are very small. The main room is average. The additional bed is a pull down bed big enough for a person under 5 feet. The restaurant is the typical Disney menu items.
A beautiful peaceful area with quiet rooms that feel much like a home would. Firm clean beds and beautiful views from every window. This place feels like a mixture between a resort-getaway and a home style bed-and-breakfast while being classy and comfortable all at once. The staff is delightful, the transportation is nearby, and everywhere it smells fresh.
Very nice resort. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, entertainment is incredible! (Bob Jackson on piano!)
Good sized rooms and room service is great but check your sheets before hopping in the bed. I had dirty sheets on the first day.
